The organizers will make adjustments as needed to ensure the walk remains enjoyable and manageable for all participants. Do drop me a message via whatsapp or via meetup if you will be late. You may consider the following: 1\. Comfortable Clothing • Moisture-wicking fabrics: Avoid cotton, as it traps moisture and causes chafing. Instead, choose clothing made from materials like polyester, nylon, or merino wool, which keep you dry.
 • Comfortable socks: Opt for moisture-wicking socks with cushioning to reduce the risk of blisters. 2\. Proper Footwear
 • Well-fitting shoes: Ensure your shoes are properly broken in and provide enough support, especially if you're walking long distances. Sturdy hiking or walking shoes with good arch support are ideal.
 • Blister prevention: Consider blister-resistant socks or pack blister pads to address any discomfort before it becomes a problem. 3\. Hydration
 • Water bottle: Stay hydrated throughout the walk to maintain energy levels and prevent dehydration. 4\. Snacks
 • Energy bars or trail mix: Portable, nutrient-packed snacks high in carbohydrates and protein—perfect for refueling during breaks.
 • Nuts or dried fruit: Easy to carry and great for providing long-lasting energy. 5\. Umbrella
• Umbrella: Bring one in case of rain to stay dry and comfortable\. 6\. Optional Gear
 • Tissues or wet wipes: Handy for personal hygiene or cleaning your hands after eating or drinking. 7\. Small Backpack or Waist Pack
 • Use a small, comfortable bag to carry your essentials. Ensure it fits snugly and doesn’t rub or chafe over time. Disclaimer:
By participating in this walk, you acknowledge and accept that you are responsible for your own physical well-being. Please exercise caution while walking, and listen to your body. Build Self-Confidence with Bouldering! 🧗 (🌟Beginner-Friendly ) + Dinner 🥘
✨ Connect with us over a day of fun climbs and an (optional) night of dinner + board games! ✨ 🧗 What is bouldering? Bouldering is a sub-discipline of rock climbing, that is done without a harness on a lower wall, with safety pads. It involves finding the right sequence to reach the end of a route, very much like a maze or puzzle. The problem-solving, social nature of climbing has been shown to boost self-esteem and confidence, as well as reduce depression and anxiety levels. (read the relevant papers here) What to expect 👀 (Note: the event officially starts at 3pm) ‼️ If you're new to climbing, we will run you through an introduction into bouldering. 🧘 3pm - 3:30pm: Warm up & 5 mins mindfulness (optional) 🧗 3:30pm - 7pm: Climb 🎲 7pm till late: We'll have dinner over card games or go to a board game cafe (see vibes that day) What to bring? Comfortable sports attire (long pants recommended!) Climbing shoes + chalk (if you have) Price list: Passes usually range from 25 - 28 depending on the gym Host's multipass are about 20 Rental shoes cost 5 📝 Things to note: Please join our telegram chat before coming ([link](https://t.me/+jXJ0Ia_jVMg1ZDQ1)) We vote on the next gym to visit in our tele chat, so stay tuned for updates! The group size is deliberately small to keep things cosy, so if you can't make it, please let us know ASAP.

Building Scalable Customer Identity Resolution Pipelines on AWS Using AI
Building Scalable Customer Identity Resolution Pipelines on AWS Using AI
Customer identity resolution becomes increasingly complex as organizations scale across multiple systems, regions, and data formats. Traditional rule-based approaches often fail to keep up with data variability, require constant manual tuning, and struggle with real-time processing needs. This session presents a practical approach to building a scalable identity resolution pipeline using AWS services and modern AI techniques. The architecture combines data ingestion through Amazon S3 and AWS Glue, transformation pipelines using Spark on EMR, and machine learning models deployed via SageMaker for entity matching and standardization. Graph-based relationship modeling is implemented using Amazon Neptune to improve resolution accuracy by incorporating household and shared attribute context. We will walk through how machine learning models can be used for name and address normalization, how intelligent blocking strategies improve matching efficiency, and how feedback loops can be introduced to continuously improve accuracy. The session also highlights how serverless components such as AWS Lambda can be used for orchestration and real-time processing. **SPEAKER BIO** Mosaic Syed is a Senior Data Engineering and Cloud Solutions Architect with over 20 years of experience designing and delivering scalable, secure, and high-performance data solutions across global enterprise environments. https://www.linkedin.com/in/mosaic-basha-syed-92300856 **CALL FOR SPEAKERS** Learn more: [https://www.awscolumbus.com/get-involved/](https://www.awscolumbus.com/get-involved/) **THANK YOU** *VEEAM* for hosting our meetup! How to Be a Better Communicator - Free Seminar
Communication is everything in life You are only as successful as your ability to communicate. \- What if you could confidently talk to anyone? \- What if you had the ability to calmly control every conversation? \- What if you could close that sale\, ask for that date\, make new friends\, repair problematic relationships\, get that raise\, or effortlessly express any idea with confidence? You can! The secret to success relies on your ability or inability to effectively communicate. Attend a free seminar and gain a better ability to communicate. CBusData - Practical AI for Power BI Developers
CBusData - Practical AI for Power BI Developers
Practical AI for Power BI Developers A year ago, “agentic AI” was mostly hype for Power BI teams. Today, it deserves your undivided attention. For Power BI pros, there is now a real opportunity to reduce repetitive development work, accelerate delivery, and help developers do more, but only when strong DataOps practices are in place to make AI workflows effective. This session is a no-nonsense introduction to effective AI patterns for Power BI and Fabric development. Along the way, we will make sense of the growing pile of terminology, including skills, plugins, hooks, and MCP. You will see examples of how modern AI tooling can help with development tasks across Power BI and Fabric, along with the prerequisites, guardrails, and DataOps principles needed to use it responsibly. Whether you're burned out on AI hype or already using Copilot CLI daily, this session will show you the foundations that are finally making AI-assisted development genuinely useful.
