AWS Security User Group Singapore: January 2026!
Hey AWS Security fam 👋 A new year, a new meetup, and plenty to look forward to. January is here — and we are kicking off 2026 with fresh stories, new faces, and another night of security and cloud in action at the AWS Singapore office. **Our goal remains the same: bring security and cloud practitioners together.** Security is wide; cloud teams move fast. Let us meet in the middle — share what is working, what is painful, and how we can ship safer, faster. Want to speak next time? We are lining up lightning talks and deep dives for upcoming meetups — 30-minute sessions, interactive by design. New voices welcome: operators, builders, blue/red/purple teamers, platform folks. If you have shipped it, broken it, or fixed it, we want to hear it. (Ping the organizers / DM us after you RSVP.) 🎤 **Speakers** ✅ **Building and Securing Systems at Scale - Lessons from Cybersecurity Practice** 📌 *Gaurav Keerthi – CEO, StrongKeep* Gaurav will share lessons from building and securing systems at scale, drawing from his experience across national digital infrastructure and his current work in cybersecurity. He will reflect on real world security challenges, how cloud has shaped security decisions, and what practitioners should focus on as systems grow in complexity. ✅ **AI Security Operations: AWS Frontier Agents + Custom Agent Development with Bedrock AgentCore and Kiro** 📌 *Loi Liang Yang – Principal Security Specialist Technical Account Manager, Amazon Web Services (AWS)* Loi explores how teams can deploy enterprise AI security using two complementary approaches on AWS. He will show how ready to use AWS AI Investigative, DevOps, and Security Agents can be enabled quickly for autonomous threat detection, while custom agents built with Bedrock AgentCore and Kiro handle unique security needs. You will see how combining managed and custom agents enables scalable, practical AI powered security operations that actually work in real environments. ✅ **Accidentally Exposed MCP Servers: Lessons From a Real Incident** 📌 *Mayank Nauni – Cybersecurity Researcher* Mayank shares findings from a real investigation into Model Context Protocol servers unintentionally exposed to the public internet. He will explain how these exposures happen, what internal context can leak, and why this matters even outside traditional OT environments. The session concludes with practical steps to secure MCP on AWS, including private VPC deployments, identity controls, and continuous posture checks. 🧭 **Event Details** 📅 Date: Thursday, 15th January 2026 🕡 Time: 6:30 PM – 9:00 PM 📍 Venue: AWS Singapore, 2 Central Blvd, IOI Central Boulevard East Towers, Level 5 🛂 **Registration & Check-in (Important)** Watch for an email titled: AWS Security User Group Singapore: Registration Confirmed for AWS Security Meetup – January 2026 Show this email at Level 1 Concierge to access Level 5 for verification. AI Builders Co-work + The Stage: Pricing Strategy: Finding the Sweet Spot.
AI Builders Co-work + The Stage: Pricing Strategy: Finding the Sweet Spot.
For logistical reasons, please RSVP here to confirm your seat **->** https://luma.com/wystkxon **Friday is our open co-working day.** People come to work on their own projects, take breaks together, and usually stay through the afternoon. It’s quiet, focused, and builder- and founder-led. You can arrive anytime from 10AM. Most people show up after lunch and settle in before 1.30pm. Bring your laptop. Grab any open seat. Stay as long as you like. At 1.30pm, we pause work briefly for a shared session called **The Stage**, then everyone goes back to working. This is how Fridays here work. \-\-\- **The Stage @ 1.30PM** > The Stage is a short, open-format session where builders and founders share something they are actively working on. A workflow, a technical breakdown, a lesson learned, or just a topic keeping him/her up at night. > The goal is to spark ideas you can try immediately after, during the same afternoon. After the session ends, most people simply open their laptops again and continue working. > After the session, we go back to work. **** **Topic: Pricing Strategy - Finding the Sweet Spot** **[Mohammed Sebti](https://www.linkedin.com/in/mohammedsebti/)** *Co-founder & CEO, SeedS Strategy* *Revenue Growth Mentor, Block71* *Former management consultant, Simon-Kucher* Pricing is one of the strongest levers founders have, and one of the easiest to get wrong. Many teams default to cost-plus or copy competitors, then struggle to adjust as their product, customers, and use cases evolve. In this session, Sebti will share how he thinks about pricing as a system, not a number. Drawing from his work advising SaaS, AI, and deep tech startups across Europe and APAC, he’ll walk through real pricing decisions founders face as they move from early traction to growth. We’ll look at: * How to move from cost-plus thinking to value-driven pricing * Choosing between pricing models as products and segments evolve * Where pricing decisions hurt conversion and retention * How to test willingness to pay without overfitting too early This session is all about building a pricing model that can adapt as your product and market change. The goal is to leave with a clearer way to think about pricing decisions, and a framework you can apply to your own product. After the session, we go back to work or hang out to network. \-\-\-

Free In-person Meeting: Unwanted Emotions & Loneliness, How to Get Over Them
Free In-person Meeting: Unwanted Emotions & Loneliness, How to Get Over Them
This is an in-person meeting. Did you know that unwanted emotions like loneliness, sadness, hopelessness, anger, fear, anxiety, or feelings of irritation don’t just fall on you for no reason. They are not random occurrences that simply happen to people's minds. They are definitely not chemical imbalance in your brain due to some nebulous chemical reactions by chance. Your negative emotions are the symptoms of the painful experiences that you have which are not healed, and which are still affecting you. The effects of these painful experiences are exacerbated by the pressures or difficulties of the other problems in your life. For instance, let's say you are already carrying a huge load on your back, then you cannot take on much more, but, let's say something else happens to you, such as the difficulties from the Pandemic, then the resultant combined weight on you can take you over the edge, kind of like the straw that break the camel's back. When this happens, people's attention usually goes to the straw that was added, but actually the majority of the weight had come from the huge load that were already there, holding a person down and causing a person issues. So how do you remove the huge load that was already there? How do you lighten them up? Is it possible to get rid of them? That is what this meeting will be all about. Come to our Meetup, where we can introduce you to some of the knowledge, tools and techniques of the breakthroughs in the field of the mind that we can apply to this ever important area of life. Be sure to click on the red "Attend" button below to come to this local event. We look forward to seeing you there. This group is created by the Dianetics and Scientology Life Improvement Center of Central Ohio.
The Next Chapter: Looking Back, Leaning Forward, A WIA Vision Circle
The Next Chapter: Looking Back, Leaning Forward, A WIA Vision Circle
As we step into a new year, many of us are carrying lessons, practices, and questions shaped by the year behind us. The Next Chapter: Looking Back, Leaning Forward is a warm, facilitated vision circle designed to help us pause together, reflect on what truly worked, and imagine what we want to carry forward into what comes next. This is not a talk or presentation. It’s a small, participatory gathering focused on shared reflection, sense-making, and connection. **Together, we’ll explore:** * What supported you over the past year — in your work, leadership, or life * What you’re ready to leave behind * What you want next January’s version of yourself to be saying To support reflection in different ways, we’ll also have optional art materials available for anyone who would like to create a simple artifact for their year — a visual or tactile reminder of what they’re carrying forward. We’ll provide basic art supplies such as colored pencils, markers, paint pens, and small canvases. If you enjoy working with collage or other media, you’re warmly invited to bring magazines, stickers, or your favorite creative materials to use or share. Participation in the creative portion is completely optional. You don’t need a plan, goals, or polished answers. Curiosity, honesty, and listening are more than enough. The intention is for everyone to leave feeling grounded, refreshed, and inspired — with a clearer sense of what matters to them and how we can support one another as a community. Space is intentionally limited to keep the experience intimate. ⸻ **What to Expect** * A small, welcoming circle (not a large meetup) * Structured conversation so everyone has space to speak * Reflection, listening, and lived experience — not advice-giving * Optional creative reflection using simple art materials * A calm, supportive environment ⸻ **Who This Is For** Women and underrepresented folks working in or around agile, product, technology, leadership, or organizational change — especially those looking for thoughtful conversation and community beyond frameworks and buzzwords. ⸻ **Good to Know** * No preparation required * Participation is invitational; listening is always welcome * Creative activities are optional — you can simply listen and reflect * You’re welcome to bring your own collage or craft materials if you’d like * Location details will be shared with registered attendees
How to Get Over Losses and Betrayls & Build Lasting Relationships
How to Get Over Losses and Betrayls & Build Lasting Relationships
Join us for this free, in person meeting on the subject of betrayals, losses and how to get over them so you can build lasting relationships. Do you want more motivation and confidence to build lasting relationships? Are you burdened by a stressful relationship? Unhealthy relationships can trigger feelings of anger, despair or self-doubt. They can create dwindling spirals of fights and seeking to make-up, or trying to “pin the blame” on someone or something. If you don’t find the RIGHT reasons, or select the correct sources of the problem, the problem can just get worse and worse. Whether in love or personal ties, with friends or at work, our life really IS affected by the quality of our relationships. Good ones can promote pleasure and survival, while less optimum ones can lead to annoyance, anger, self-doubt, stress, or even affect our health and ability to survive well. Whether you are suffering from a divorce, or a painful break-up, don’t know who to trust (or who to CHOOSE) as a partner, friend, boss or employee - the anxiety of relationship troubles can really make a mess of things. Maybe you’ve suffered a betrayal, or are dealing with hostility or criticalness or invalidation. Dwindling relationships can involve destructive behavior, where we hurt those we love, or start succumbing to self-destructive thoughts, attitudes or behaviors that spiral out of control and affect much more than our immediate relationship. Past losses in love or life can affect how we act or react to new people and situations and hold us back from even starting to create new, possibly great relationships! How can one get back onto a saner course of action? Come to our Meetup, where we can introduce you to some of the knowledge, tools and techniques of the breakthroughs in the field of the mind that we can apply to this ever important area of life: human relationships! Break free from self imposed limitations Here we will discuss: • How to “erase” the trauma of past hurts and betrayals so that one isn’t always repeating past mistakes. • Why and how do the negative emotions of others affect you? • Why is my partner withdrawing and what can I do about it? • Why do we sometimes feel compelled to hurt the ones we love? • Fights & arguments - what's really behind them? • What underlies “corrosive criticism” or the need to invalidate self or others? • How one can stably change one’s outlook on life so they can affect positive change? • Where do compulsive destructive behaviors come from and what can be done about them? • How to form closer bonds & keep growing the relationships with the people you care about? • How to enhance one’s own ability to survive and create positive healthy relationships whether in love, family & friendships or in work, business or one’s career? Relationships can be hard and life itself IS challenging. Why not arm yourself with the knowledge and breakthroughs that have been made about the mind, mental reactions & interpersonal relationships, so that one has better awareness and control over themselves and life in general. Learn where painful experiences are “stored” and how they can unknowingly affect us. You will also find out how one can “erase” those past painful experiences so that one is free to move forward without being tripped up by the past. Learn too, about what can lead some people to become “toxic” personalities and how to identify those traits in others so you won’t be tripped up trusting the wrong person. Our free Meet-ups occur in a safe environment where one can learn, without fear of judgment or criticism, and without the recommendation of harmful mental techniques or therapies, just how YOU can get yourself onto a happier & more successful path: in love & in life. We look forward to having you join us! This class is held at the Dianetics and Scientology Life Improvement Center of Central Ohio.

Come for the blocks, stay for the Terraform. 🧱➡️📐
