Join us on Sunday 28 June at 10:00 AM from London Bridge Station for a beautiful coastal walk from Herne Bay to Whitstable. We'll travel together, then spend the day walking along the shoreline, taking in the views, sharing ideas, and enjoying conversations that go beyond the usual small talk. There is no pressure, no networking agenda, and no need to be an expert in anything—just curiosity and openness. As we walk, we'll explore questions such as: What experience has changed your perspective on life the most? What do you value more now than you did five years ago? What is something you believe that most people around you disagree with? If you could master one skill instantly, what would it be and why? What does a meaningful life look like to you? What book has had the greatest impact on your thinking? What would your younger self be surprised to learn about you today? What is a question you find endlessly fascinating? What do you think people misunderstand most about happiness? If you had complete freedom for the next year, how would you spend it?

We will enjoy a leisurely walk (approx 45 mins - 1 hour) along Regent's Canal from Angel station and ending at the fabulous Victoria Park Market. This event usually runs on the 4th Sunday of each month, unless there is bad weather or exceptional circumstances. We are a welcoming group, so feel free to mix around and say hello other people. There is a wondering food market in Victoria Park, and most of us will get something to eat together. We usually sit on the grass or public benches (if available) near the Bonner Gate entrance, behind the Dogs of Alcibiades statue. This is at the intersection of foodstalls running north/south and east/west. If it is raining or the market is closed, we can either go to the Pavillion cafe, or The Crown pub on Grove Road instead. Come and play Chamber Music at my house on Sunday June 28th; Time as suits between 2:30pm and 8:30pm Please include instruments and expected times in your response, and follow the below requested precautions when coming: Attendance requirements: Please do not come if you are unwell or if you know you were recently exposed to people with Covid or flu. Suggested standard is AB grade7 or NVQ level5 to professional, but in the end the ability to play with others is more important than instrumental technique I provide the following: Up to six playing spaces for groups of up to 12, 8, 6, 6, 6 and 3, respectively. One of the six-person playing-rooms has a carefully-chosen Steinway model B. Other rooms provide a Clavinova CLP575, a Clavinova 625, and an A415 harpsichord (all in different rooms). I have violins, violas, and cellos available to play for multi-instrumentalists who do not wish to carry too much (please check before coming). There is a decent library of chamber music mostly for strings and for strings and piano, but some for mixed groups and wind quintet; in practice at least one wind player usually comes equipped with appropriate music (I will provide warning to winds should this ever not be the case). As this is my private home, details of the location will be emailed by early Sunday to those who have already signed up. Please confirm instruments, chosen timing and the attendance requirements You will see that available playing times are very long - and I can extend until 10:30pm if appropriate. The intention is to allow us to space out and to minimise infection risks - as well as to give multiple pianists access. Please bring a music stand (let me know if this is difficult or impractical, as I can provide a limited number). There will be beverages and biscuits.
