Friday, March 6 & Saturday, March 7, 2026
10:30 am – 4:30 pm, ½ hour lunch break each session
Artistic Artifacts will host Fit for Art Patterns three times this year: you can end 2026 with amazing custom, perfectly fit garments! In this first class, create an artistic vest using their Tabula Rasa jacket pattern. Vests are a great way to use a special fabric in a terrific way, so let’s get started. ***GRAB A DRINK AND YOU WILL BE ALL SET TO FLEX YOUR LANGUAGE CAPACITY. YOU NEED TO GET AT LEAST A DRINK OR FOOD :) To get the event going and show support. We know that you like our events. P.S. : We have non-alcoholic drinks as well.***
We have a tiny venue and we hit capacity often and early arrival is suggested.
We have the discretion to decide entry.
We will assign tables for represented languages. All languages are welcome! However we don't guarantee the availability of a partner in that particular language, you would like to exchange.
As you all remember well, this event used to bring out hundreds of people every week. However, it was discontinued last year for obvious reasons and we couldn't gather that many people now, because of restrictions. Hence, we are downsizing and caping the number of attendees. We have super limited spots and advance ticket purchase is required.

Expand your creativity and vision at the Renwick Gallery. You’ll find unique photographic opportunities as we explore various the styles of art and mediums on display.
We’ll focus on capturing details of the artwork in unique, unusual and abstract ways. Learn to see multiple photographic opportunities within an individual piece of art. Our goal is not necessarily to document the artwork but to find creative approaches using perspective, depth of field, focus, and subject isolation.
Learn how to:
\- Explore unusual angles and perspectives
\- Isolate portions of a subject for creative interpretations
\- Using depth of field to simplify your compositions
\- Use the background to enhance the subject

Rockville Drawing and Coffee Weekly Session - NOTE: PLEASE use RSVP process!
Expect a fun afternoon of drawing and socializing with like-minded artists!
Although each Session is 3 hours, feel free to drop in as your schedule permits. This is a casual gathering, and we know that people might only be able to stay a little while -- drop in, and stay, as long as you are having fun, and as your day allows.
**Note: about RSVP's, please respect the RSVP process. If you RSVP YES, you are commited and we are all looking to seeing you. If your plans change however, that's OK, but please be courteous and change your RSVP to NO. We are reaching the headcount limit regularly now and it is rude to take a spot and not relinquish it if your plans change... Respect others; don't be rude. Thank you for your cooperation**.
All skill levels are welcome -- this is not a competition.
This Group and all its Events are intended to be in equal parts, Drawing/Art AND Socializing. Ever heard of a bar that has an art/mural gallery built in? WHINO is a 6,200-square-foot restaurant, combined with an art gallery on the second floor of the new Ballston Quarter. It features art work from local artists, a wide array of cocktails and small plates in a modern open-concept setting.
**Directions and Parking**
* WHINO is located between Macy's and the bridge that leads to the Ballston Metro Station on the second floor of the mall. It’s a [short walk from Ballston metro](https://goo.gl/maps/eLsR3N85d7RDV6XXA).
* Daily, 24-hour parking is available in the Ballston Public Parking Garage which is located at 627 N. Glebe Road.

Saturday Easy Walk: 3 mile Paint Branch Trail
**Parking**: There are 3 parking lots adjacent to each other, so you will be able to use any one of the lots if there is an overflow.
Meeting Spot: Please wait near the "Dog Park" sign that is by the side of the parking lot that is closest to the trail head.
Bring plenty of water, whatever you need for your hike, and your awesome authentic self. Bring a **joke**.
**Trail Description**:
"Prince George's County's Paint Branch Trail (not to be confused with Montgomery County's Paint Branch Trail farther north) runs for 3.5 miles between Lake Artemesia and Cherry Hill Neighborhood Park in the Washington, DC, suburb of College Park. The trail is a part of the larger Anacostia Tributory Trail System, which provides miles of off-road paved paths along the various branches of the Anacostia River."
