***Join us on a history-focused walking tour of Dun Laoghaire and Sandycove!*** Hello! My name is Marina Boyle and I'm a local tour guide excited to share my favourite part of Dublin with you. This is history focused guided tour that will take you through beautiful Dun Laoghaire, Glasthule, and Sandycove. It is suitable for both locals and those new to the area, or anyone who wants to learn and make friends at the same time! We'll start at Dun Laoghaire DART station and visit landmarks like the East Pier, Dun Laoghaire Baths, the Forty Foot, and the James Joyce Tower Museum. All the way along I'll be explaining the local history, with time for guests to chat and make connections between stops. Come and see what makes the coast of Dublin so captivating! This event will start at 11 am sharp and last approximately 2 hours. Please note that this is a tip-based tour, and most guests choose to contribute around €5–€10 per person (or more if the tour was unforgettable 😄). For instance, let's say you are already carrying a huge load on your back, then you cannot take on much more, but, let's say something else happens to you, such as the difficulties from the Pandemic, then the resultant combined weight on you can take you over the edge, kind of like the straw that break the camel's back. When this happens, people's attention usually goes to the straw that was added, but actually the majority of the weight had come from the huge load that were already there, holding a person down and causing a person issues.
