Debden to Hainault Forest Circular Hike (Approx. 15 miles) Join us for a rewarding circular hike exploring one of London’s largest and most atmospheric ancient woodlands. Starting and finishing at Debden Underground Station, this approximately 15-mile walk combines forest trails, open countryside, and quiet suburban edges, offering a real “escape from the city” feel while staying firmly within Greater London. From Debden we head east into Hainault Forest Country Park, following a network of woodland paths beneath ancient oaks and hornbeams. The route takes in wide forest rides, ponds, and grassy clearings, with seasonal highlights ranging from spring wildflowers to autumn colour and winter birdsong. We’ll pause along the way for short breaks and a longer lunch stop, making the most of scenic spots within the forest. The walk is mostly flat to gently undulating, with a mix of woodland tracks, fields, and some paved sections. While there are no major hills, the distance makes this a moderate to challenging hike, suitable for regular walkers with a good level of fitness. Please bring suitable footwear, water, lunch, and weather-appropriate clothing. This is a great opportunity to enjoy nature, stretch the legs, and discover a beautiful green corridor on London’s doorstep. Meet at Debden underground station. Walk length 10miles/16km. Circular. A scenic walk exploring the countryside close to Hughenden Manor and West Wycombe with a combination of woods and fields. Hughenden Manor was the home of the famous Prime Minister Benjamin Disraeli from 1848 until his death in 1881. He entertained Queen Victoria here in 1877. The house is now owned by the National Trust. The historic village of West Wycombe is largely owned by the National Trust and features many interesting buildings built between the 16th and 18th centuries. The Mausoleum and Golden Ball above West Wycombe village are impressive local landmarks, visually dominating the village and can be seen for miles. The old village of West Wycombe and Wycombe Hill supports around 8 ghosts wandering the graveyards, caves and pubs! West Wycombe hill has been used for a quarry for centuries for roads and houses in the area and the quarrying was extended in the middle of the 18th century to help employ local workers after serious crop failures by Sir Francis Dashwood for his notorious Hellfire Club that may have involved Satanic or Pagan rituals but also a lot of partying! The walk should finish about 4pm and include a pack lunch stop and optional pub at the end, however the time may be earlier than this depending on the weather and pace. Volunteer with Westerville Queer Collective and the Neurospicy Meetup to build care packages for local unhoused folks, which will be distributed throughout local camps and neighborhoods via Heer2Serve (501c3). Will you donate any items? If so, comment what will you bring Please make sure clothing items are clean and if you’re donating food, ready to be eaten without a stove or microwave. We expect to assemble around 50-100 packages, so if you’ll purchase items, please consider that amount (ie bulk individually packaged candies etc.). The Photoshop Bootcamp workshop is a hands-on workshop, and example files and materials are made available to each participant. Each participant is required to have a computer available for use throughout the workshop. That computer must be adequately configured to run the latest version of Photoshop available in Adobe's Creative Cloud software suite (as of the time of this document, that version is Photoshop 2025 (Version 26.9.0)). Photoshop should be installed and operational before the commencement of the workshop. GENERAL WORKSHOP NOTES: There is a fee of $400 per person associated with this workshop. The Photoshop Bootcamp workshop comprises two sessions (Session 01, November 22nd, and Session 02, November 23rd). The $400 fee covers participation in both sessions. For scheduling purposes, on Meetup.com, the workshop is broken up into two (2) sessions. You only need to sign up for Session 01 (November 22nd), you will AUTOMATICALLY be signed up for Session 02 (November 23rd). The following registration/cancellation policy is in place for this workshop: * The workshop fee is due upon signing up for the event. You will be contacted shortly after you register to make arrangements for processing payment. * Participant cancellations before October 22nd are entitled to a FULL refund of the workshop fee. Participant cancellations after October 22nd, but before November 15th, are entitled to a 50% refund of the workshop fee. Participant who cancel **after November 15th** will not be entitled to a refund of their workshop fee.
