Yu-Gi-Oh! at the Board Room - TCG Advanced
Yu-Gi-Oh! at the Board Room - TCG Advanced
**Join us for some friendly one-on-one duels!** **BEFORE you arrive,** **Be sure that any decks you plan to use adhere strictly to Konami's most recent Forbidden & Limited List:** **[https://www.yugioh-card.com/en/limited/](https://www.yugioh-card.com/en/limited/)** **Also, we use a tier list for Advanced Format. Click the link below and see where your favorite archetypes are ranked. If you don’t see yours listed, consider what decks on the list that you’ve faced in the past and estimate your deck’s power level.** **[https://docs.google.com/document/d/1rkHfUrfF3231DWamIeTTQ_VadYMvuo50xm_Q8Cp3zr0/edit?usp=sharing](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1rkHfUrfF3231DWamIeTTQ_VadYMvuo50xm_Q8Cp3zr0/edit?usp=sharing)** **This tier list is NOT intended as a definitive ranking system for the metagame. It is merely an approximation to prevent one-sided matchups, which is an unfortunate feature of the game. We want EVERYONE to enjoy themselves and have a decent chance of winning. So, please bring at least 3 decks, each with a different power level (ideally an A tier deck, a B tier deck and a C tier deck). Notify your opponent of your deck’s ranking prior to each duel.** **Concerning travel,** **You may struggle to find an open parking spot near the venue, so it’s better to try 24th Street and the surrounding spots on Kalorama Road, Wyoming Avenue and Tracy Place. The best option may be the Metro. You’d exit at Dupont Circle Station.**

If any clarification is needed please find an organizer. **+++++++++++++++++++++** **Partnering:** **+++++++++++++++++++++** * Numbers drawn will determine what your "player" number is. * You will be given a rotation sheet showing you the tables and partners you'll play for the tournament. * (Thanks Skutchie) **+++++++++++++++++++++** **Scoring:** **+++++++++++++++++++++** * The individual with the highest number of points wins. * In case of a tie, the person who held their opponents to the lowest number of points wins. * In case of a double tie we add the prize money for the tied categories and then split the total monies in half and each person gets bragging rights regardless of what their trophy says. **+++++++++++++++++++++** **Honoring your RSVP:** **+++++++++++++++++++++** If you find that you can't come please change your RSVP as soon as possible. Backing out under 24 hours is not fair to the other players. A tournament works best when we have groups of 4.

Tarot Time!
Tarot Time!
***We have now resumed in-person meetups!*** We are a group of tarot practitioners and enthusiasts who are looking to practice and expand our tarot skills through both collaborative discussion and hands-on practice. Everyone is welcome regardless of skill level, even if you've never picked up a deck in your life! Each month we'll have a topic to discuss together, and when that discussion wraps up the session is opened up to any questions people might have about tarot. We also often break up into smaller groups to practice giving readings to each other. (The giving and receiving of readings are both completely voluntary, so please don't feel pressured!) Having a tarot deck is not required. (If you're looking for recommendations for a first deck, we'll be more than happy to help!) Some have found it helpful to bring pen and paper for notes as well. No fee, however snacks, donations for the tea fund, and gifts of practical items for the shop (toilet paper, paper towels, etc) are always welcome. Use of workshop space agreement at Sticks and Stones: 1. Feel free to arrange and decorate the space before your event, and make sure before you go to leave it as you found it. 2. Hot water and tea are provided by the store and you are welcome to help yourselves. We accept donations in the form of money, tea, paper products (tissues, paper towels, toilet paper) dish soap, etc, to help pay for this free service. 3. You are welcome to bring snacks and drinks to your event (no alcohol.) It is suggested that you bring any utensils and plates if needed, however we might have some available from previous donations if you forget. 4. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times, in all areas of the store. Anyone under 18 must have a parent or guardian present to take any of the workshops/classes. 5. Sticks and Stones respects each and everyone’s spiritual path; we do not discriminate based on race, religion, sexuality, political views, etc. Please be kind and respectful with your discussions, as we have many people from all faiths entering our store during business hours.
