๐ปSingles Salsa Dance ๐Party & Show๐ - Make New Friends๐ซ (+ Salsa Class)
Make New Friends๐! This Event is a large Monthly Social Salsa Dance Party ๐๐๐ & Dance Show for Salsa Dancers and for New Solo people who want to learn Salsa dancing.
This Salsa Dance Party will be held in a large hall. There is Bar facilities, cheaper drinks and toilets are avaliable. Time of Dance Party from about 9.30pm/10pm. till after 1 am. Dress: Neat Dress.
(Salsa Dance class lesson from 8.45pm to 9.30pm.). There are Salsa Social Dance Classes on Thursday evenings for those who like to learn or improve Salsa dancing.
The entrance fee for the Salsa Party is 15 euros cash at the Door, which includes the Salsa class lesson and Dance Show. This is very good value. Place of large Hall is in Dublin 8. There is a large Free Car Parking at the back also. Dublin Bus 2 mins walk. There will be many other solo people attending from all around Ireland beside this meetup who already know this venue. In the past Social Salsa Dance Parties, over 270 people attended.
Please Note: Salsa Dancing involves people touching each other during dancing and classes.

Portrait Photo Walk

A photo walk for those who want to take photographs and for those who want to get their photos taken
We will grab some pics at some of Dublins spots. Great if youโre a photographer looking to get some practice in portrait photography or if youโd like to go home with some great pics of u. All photographs provided will be free.
Towards the end we can all go to a pub/cafe and review the photos (optional).

Mix of paces in this group from 6:30 min per km to close to 5 min per km.
For those that want to do a longer distance, they will probably start earlier and link up with us for 9AM
If you are doing one of the earlier runs (Such as Harry's run), please sign up for this too.
Ideally we will run the trails if they are not too wet.
Meet near the bus stop at the visitors centre car park.

French Speaking Practice โ Real Conversation & Confidence Building
Do you understand French but struggle to speak naturally when itโs time to respond?
Join a relaxed **French conversation group** where we use **real news stories** as a way to practise **speaking French** in a natural and structured way.
This is not a traditional lesson. Itโs a guided conversation space where you **practise speaking** through real-life content.
## ๐ฐ This sessionโs topic: a real news story
In this session, we will work with a short French news extract about a **train and car collision**.
## ๐ฅ Before the session
Before the meetup, you will watch a short French news video about a **train and car collision**.
This video will give you the key vocabulary and context so you feel more comfortable speaking during the session.
You will also receive a few simple comprehension questions to help you prepare your ideas.
## ๐ฌ During the meetup
We will use the news story as a starting point for discussion and speaking practice.
You will be guided through conversation questions to help you :
* describe what happened in the story
* report facts in French
* express simple reactions (shock, sadness, surpriseโฆ)
* talk about people involved in the event
* situate events in time and space
You donโt need perfect French โ the goal is to speak and build confidence.

The session will include :
* group discussion based on the video
* guided speaking questions
* interactive conversation practice
* a final speaking activity / role-play based on the scenario

Liam Mc Hike Dublin Mountain loop 22km hike - Ticknock car park
Meeting at Ticknock car park (at the mountain bike shop. biking.ie in Google maps)
Meeting at 9:40am, outside the bike shop cafe (at entrance of car park), hike will commence immediately thereafter, this hike will cover forest tracks, small section of road and some boggy terrain.
Distance: 22km
You may bring lunch, snacks and drinks of your choice.
Coffee afterwards in the cafe in car park for those who wish and have the time.
Salsa Bachata Practice with our friend DJ Leo
We at Freesalsa Ireland believe in growing the community, something our friend DJ Leo also believes in.
Therefore, we are delighted to promote his weekly practice here on our Meetup for those of you looking to spend their Sunday in the best way.
There will be a 60-minute lesson before social with the award-winning DJ Leo until 17.00.

Belly Dance Movement for Wellbeing
A relaxed belly dance-inspired movement session in Dublin city centre.
This class is an accessible movement practice designed to support wellbeing, posture, and gentle full-body fitness.
We work from simple foundational movements and focus on:

โจ Posture and body alignment
โจ Hip, lower back, and leg mobility
โจ Coordination and balance
โจ Body awareness and relaxation
No experience is required. This is an open-level session where we explore movement in a simple and supportive way, without performance pressure. The focus is on how the body feels, not how it looks.

10:00 AM: We will start with a refreshing Yoga session at Killiney Hill.
After Yoga: Grab your coffees! For those who want to join, we will head down to Killiney Beach together to hang out, chat, and enjoy the views.

Dublin Runners Saturday Morning Run 7km to 16 km
This event is for anyone seeking a social run with like minded people. It will consist of 2 loops. the first loop will be run at 6 20 - 6 30 per km pace and will be about 7 km in length. We will then join with the main Dublin Runners group at 9:00 am back at the Visitors Centre (VC), where a variety of pace options will be available. This second loop will be approximately 10 km to 12 km. So you can choose to join at 8 15 am or 9 00 am. Please arrive 5 mins early as we are firm about start times. We usually finish with tea and cake in the cafe in the VC. If your pace is lower than 6 30 per km for about 8 km this run may not be for you. Some people are using this to prepare for summer 10 mile or half marathon races or to build a base to prepare for the Dublin City marathon in October. We will have a couple of groups preparing for the marathon starting in mid July. So now might be a good time to get started. If you have any questions contact Harry.
