Looking for a relaxed way to play table tennis after work? Then feel free to join us! We meet every Thursday from around 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM (18:30 - 20:30) at the table tennis tables at Lietzensee. Everyone is welcome – whether you are a beginner, casual player, or experienced. You are also welcome to bring friends along. The focus is on having fun, getting some movement outdoors, and meeting new people. Just show up and join in! ## How we play Usually, we have at least two tables available, as long as they are not already taken. Depending on the number of people and the mood, we either play casual matches, 1-on-1 games across two tables, or small friendly tournaments. This way, there is usually something for everyone. ## Good to know * Everyone is welcome. * Friends and acquaintances are welcome to join. * Please bring your own paddle if possible. * If you don’t have one, no problem – I will bring a few extra paddles that can be borrowed. * The group is loosely organized – feel free to just show up and play. * As we play outdoors, we are dependent on the weather. In case of heavy rain or other unsuitable weather conditions, the event may have to be cancelled. We play any kind of board and card games. Most of them are german or language neutral games. It doesn't matter if you are casual or core player. The main thing is to meet and have fun. Bring your own game or choose one of about 150 games we have on site. You want to play a certain game you don't own, ask Björn (spielfest-berlin@email.de) if he can bring it or ask in the comments. They are easy to learn and are loved by a wide range of players. People will be available to teach how to play each of the games described below. Beginners are welcome. Everyone is welcome to bring other board games and card games that you think people will enjoy. The Mexican Train domino game, Stone Age, and Alhambra are likely to be available. Scrabble and Rumikub have been mentioned as possibilities. **TICKET TO RIDE**: Engaging for players of almost any age, Ticket to Ride is great fun. The rules are simple, but deciding what plays to make in any specific game situation remains interesting and enjoyable for years. **CATAN**: In this game players act as competitive settlers. They acquire resources, trade them with other players, and build and develop their holdings on the island of Catan. Players gain victory points as their settlements grow. A feature that makes it easy to enjoy this game over and over is that the island is different for every game. It consists of hexagonal terrain tiles that can connect in any order. **CARCASSONNE**: Players take turns placing tiles to build a land with cities, farms, roads, and cloisters. They earn points by claiming and completing those things. This game remains enjoyable, time after time, for years. All are invited to come to the Lodge as guests of Virginia Colin. Please make sure that she signs you in. Drinks and good quality bar food will be available for purchase. Salads, onion rings, and sweet potato fries are recommended by many of us.

Every Friday night (except First Friday), come out for traditional playing cards! Hearts, Spades, Euchre, Rummy, Poker, and many others.
