About us: The Tibetan Dharma and Meditation Group is part of a Buddhist organisation based in Taiwan, which is centred on one of the greatest living Rinpoches (teachers) in the world at the moment. Not so the first disciples--when Jesus demonstrated His power as God over the seas by procuring boats overflowing with fish, the response of the fisherman was firstly an acknowledgement of their own sinfulness, and secondly, and immediate abandonment of their livelihoods to follow Jesus. The good was forsaken for the best. Jesus still calls--"Come, follow Me." Are we willing to give up *whatever* it takes to follow Jesus? Will we lay down our pride and our veneer of self-sufficiency and recognize that we are sinners who need a Savior? Are we willing to sacrifice the things the world says will bring us happiness and pleasure for the sake of what is greatest and what will bring true joy?
