Coffee chat? NO. Tea chat? NO. A 900-year-old latte chat! ☕️ Our first Explorer Session is here 🌿 In the Song Dynasty (around 1100 AD), Chinese people were already whisking tea powder into creamy foam. We're doing it. 🍵 Explorer Session Vol.1 — Song Dynasty Tea What we'll do: → Make tea with your own hands → Guided by a Dashi who lives this tradition → Drink tea, talk, connect You might be an Explorer if… → You tried TCM or tea before but wanted to go deeper → You're curious about Chinese culture beyond the tourist stuff → You enjoy conversations where different cultures meet at the same table 📍 Shanghai (venue shared after sign-up) ⏰ April 19 👥 8 Explorers only 💰 RMB150 🗣 EN/CN

Shanghai Free Tours & International Friends
Shanghai Free Tours & International Friends
Let's swap stories: Free Shanghai local friend (and I need English practice!) About Me: I'm a true Shanghainese—I grew up in the heartbeat of this city, but I've also got a passport full of stamps. I understand the traveler's soul. Seeing all these new faces in Shanghai lately has made me want to open my home city in a more personal way. I'm not a business. I'm not a tour guide. I'm just a guy who loves his city and wants to exchange cultures. I'm offering free walks and local tips in exchange for good conversation and a little patience with my English speaking skills. (I'm hoping to improve my fluency while I show you around!). The Deal: I’ll take you to the spots I grew up eating at, the quiet lanes away from the tourist herds, and maybe we can decode some of that confusing Shanghai subway etiquette together. It's completely free. The Catch? I have a small camera (iPhone and a tiny Insta360). I'm creating a video series called "The Wonderful World of Mu Yunping"—it's a humanist project about connection. I'd love to film parts of our walk for my channel. You don't have to be a movie star; just be yourself. If you want a real Shanghainese friend, not just a tour, and you're okay with being part of a cultural documentary project, send me a "Hey!" Let's turn a random day in Shanghai into something memorable.
Plant -Based & Mindful Eating on April 18
Plant -Based & Mindful Eating on April 18
We are delighted to introduce **Dasein Saturday Lunch Gathering**, born from our deep exploration of the sacred bond between food and spiritual practice. This is a weekly bilingual gathering for mindful connection, hosted in our private kitchen and exclusive lounge. Closed to the general public, each session is limited to just 15 seats to ensure an intimate atmosphere — and every plant-based meal is specially crafted by a **Michelin-starred chef**, blending nourishment with culinary artistry. Our guests are like-minded souls who pursue spiritual growth, inner awakening, and conscious living. Connection • Culture • Wellness • Awakening — these are our core values and shared purpose. ## Why Plant-Based? More people are moving away from animal products and embracing sustainable living—not as a passing trend, but as an inner awakening. Drawing on holistic wisdom from Dr. John Dingyi Young, Anthony William, Dr. Greger, Dr. Xu Jia, and the profound insights of *Man’s Higher Consciousness*, we journey from physical healing to expanded awareness. This is far more than “what we eat.” It is about honoring our bodies, respecting the planet, and cherishing the life in every bite. Our lunch gathering is a gateway: through mindful eating, we nourish the body, heal the soul, and awaken to a more conscious way of living. ## Event Details: **Time**: Saturday\, April 18 \| 12:00–14:00 **Location**: Kingboard Plaza, 269 Tongxie Road, Changning District, Shanghai **Language**: Bilingual (English & Chinese) **Fee**: No registration fee; minimum one plant-based set meal (¥158) per person **Capacity**: Limited to 15 guests **Register with Wechat:cizaiyingyu** Crafted by a Michelin-starred chef, this meal may well be the start of your new awakening.

Energizing Walk for Busy People!
Energizing Walk for Busy People!
Join our weekly walking meetup to have fun, maintain a healthy lifestyle, meet new people, and enjoy nature! We meet Saturdays at 10am, by the bike racks and benches 150 feet in front of BUBBLES Hair Salon in Reston, leaving no later than 10:05. Every week we'll walk the Green Trail to Lake Anne Plaza (\~1 mile), pause there for 5-10 minutes (water, bio, and from April-Nov a Farmer's Market), then circle the lake (2 miles) before returning to our starting point. It's roughly 3.5 miles and takes about an hour and a half. Afterwards, some members will often head to a local restaurant to refuel and relax before tackling the rest of the day. This event is open to all ages and fitness levels, and both friends and dogs are always welcome! We recommend dressing for the weather (umbrella, water bottle, snow shoes, hat, etc.) since we'll always walk, rain or shine. By signing up, you accept and assume all risks and responsibilities with this activity, and nobody will be held liable.

“Good Job”: A Conversation on Seeing, Valuing, and Uplifting One Another
“Good Job”: A Conversation on Seeing, Valuing, and Uplifting One Another
Inspired by the song "Good Job" by Alicia Keys, this gathering invites us to pause and reflect on the quiet strength, resilience, and everyday efforts that often go unseen. How often do we acknowledge the people who keep things moving—at work, at home, in our communities? And how often do we recognize that same perseverance in ourselves? In this conversation, we’ll explore: * The power of simple recognition and encouragement * How affirmation can strengthen resilience and connection * Ways to create environments where people feel seen and valued * The impact of gratitude on culture, leadership, and well-being Through reflection and shared dialogue, we’ll consider how a simple phrase—*“good job”*—can carry deeper meaning when it’s grounded in sincerity and awareness. Come join a different kind of conversation – one that welcomes every perspective in a search for the underlying truths that unite us all – on seeing, valuing, and uplighting one another. Join us for an open and respectful conversation where participants can share perspectives, experiences, and insights. Whether you come to speak or simply to listen, all thoughtful voices are welcome.
