**Why meditate with others?**
Meditation can help you pause, notice what’s happening in your mind and body, and build greater calm, clarity, and self-awareness - particularly important in a busy, demanding world. Meditation isn’t about emptying your mind or getting it “right,” but about paying attention to your own experience, just as it is.
Learning and practicing meditation with other people can deepen this experience. Practicing together creates a sense of connection and shared understanding, reminding you that everyone’s experience is different and that there’s no single right way to meditate. Being part of a group can offer encouragement, structure, and a feeling of support, making the practice more sustainable and meaningful over time.

As you walk in the hotel, turn right from the bar, and you’ll find another bar where drinks are served.
We’re right behind.
This meetup is free to attend. Just grab and pay for your own drink when you order to support the bar and keep things cool with the venue.
Cacao Ceremony & Inner Child Healing
Inner child healing isn’t about blaming your parents.
It’s about understanding the parts of you that were shaped before you had a choice.
Every adult carries a younger version of themselves inside. The child who learned how to survive. The child who adapted. The child who made sense of the world based on what was available at the time.
If love felt inconsistent, you may now fear abandonment.
If you had to be “good” to receive approval, you may now people-please.
If your emotions weren’t welcomed, you may now struggle to express your needs.
These patterns aren’t personality flaws. They are protective strategies.
Inner child healing is the process of gently meeting those younger parts with compassion instead of criticism. It’s learning to sit with the emotions that were once too overwhelming. It’s teaching your nervous system that it is safe now.
Because trauma isn’t just what happened to you — it’s what happened inside you as a result.
When you begin this work, you start to notice powerful shifts:
✨ You respond instead of react.
✨ You stop chasing emotionally unavailable partners.
✨ You set boundaries without guilt.
✨ You trust yourself more deeply.
✨ You feel worthy without having to prove it.
You begin to re-parent yourself. To offer reassurance where there was once fear. Validation where there was once silence. Safety where there was once chaos.
And something beautiful happens…
The heavy survival energy softens.
The constant overthinking quiets.
Your relationships become healthier.
Your body feels more regulated.
You stop living from the wound — and start living from wholeness.
We will open with heart-led ceremonial cacao, followed by a guided inner child healing journey in the calming energy of the salt cave.

Each Sunday, children explore timeless spiritual principles through stories, creative activities, music, and group sharing in a safe and welcoming environment.
Our program encourages children to discover their own inner light, express kindness, and develop a personal connection with God. Together, we celebrate diversity, cultivate understanding, and inspire each child to live with purpose and compassion. Parents and families are invited to join in this uplifting journey of learning, laughter, and spiritual connection.
Friday Night at Junto - French Conversation Group
Friday Night French Conversation Hour
Bonjour tout le monde!
(English Below)
Venez nombreux!
A tres bientot

Hello everyone!
It’s been a long time since we’ve had a Friday night French meetup.
I suggest that we meet at the Junto Hotel in Columbus this coming Friday, 20 March (friday) 2026 at 7PM.
There’s a great spot with both outdoor and indoor areas, a café (which closes at 7 p.m., come a bit early if that interests you), a restaurant, and a bar.
Parking is paid and is located right across from the science museum called COSI. There is additional free and paid street parking around at varying distances.
It’s a bit expensive, but you don’t have to buy anything since the area is really just a large hotel lobby. It's nice though.
I spoke with management, and they’re happy to welcome us, though there’s no specific space reserved just for us.
It’ll start at 7 p.m. and go until whenever.
I’d like this to become a monthly event, and if this space doesn’t suit us well, we can discuss other options.
Speaking and understanding French well is ideal but there may be learners there as well.
I’m Brandon. I’ll be wearing a blue and white cap that says “Québec.”
Come find us.
Using Philosophy to Cope with Current Events
So this month's prompt is more general. I think we can all agree that we are living in "unique" times that require coping skills. I think that one role and/or purpose of philosophy is to help us deal with our daily lives and our "unique" times. So, let's share our feelings and thoughts about which philosopher/philosophy we turn to in order to deal with our crazy events. Who/what helps you stay focused in your daily life and helps you sleep at night. I find that Stoicism with a little philosophical pessimism mixed in goes a long way in helping me deal with what I see as very destructive, fearful and mean spirited public policies at both the state and federal levels. Hope to see you on March 28th!
