Examined Life: Outliers by Malcom Gladwell
Examined Life: Outliers by Malcom Gladwell
An Examined Life - A discussion group to exchange ideas and opinions related to science, economics, psychology and philosophy. The format is that we select a theme and pick a book related to that theme to discuss. The link to the book will be posted and also a talk/podcast related to the book should you not have time to read the full book before the meetup. Pre-reading is not mandatory, however, everyone will get more out of the session if you read the book or listen to the short talk. The aim is to meet in Wetherspoons. Usually we are at a long table near the front window or, if not, a long table downstairs. Ask around and I'm sure you'll find the group! Spiritual Conversations Dublin
Spiritual Conversations Dublin
This Meetup was created as a sacred place for those who feel called to explore consciousness, spirituality, personal growth, and the deeper aspects of who we are. We come together every two weeks not for casual socializing, but to connect with depth, presence, and authenticity. Everyone’s perspective is welcome here without judgement. My intention for this gathering is to be conscious and deliberate—like a living container that supports us all in being seen, heard, and understood. This space may not be for everyone—and that’s okay. If you’re looking for light social banter or casual networking, this group may not resonate with you. But if you feel called to walk into a space where people speak from the heart, share with honesty, and lean into spiritual exploration with wonder and sovereignty—then you’re in the right place. We don’t always know where the conversation will flow—but we trust the current. And every time, it brings us to understanding each other from a deeper level. If this resonates then I look forward to sharing this space with you. ***All are welcome and facilities are wheelchair friendly

Sunday Evening Zazen meditation
Sunday Evening Zazen meditation
Join us for Zazen Meditation. please arrive at 6pm. newcomers please arrive at 5.45 for an introduction to Zazen meditation.
Zazen Meditation + Dharma talk or Kinhin
Zazen Meditation + Dharma talk or Kinhin
The meaning of the word zen is meditation, zazen means sitting meditation. In zazen practice we begin to know ourselves, and to go beyond the limits of our personal ego. Within our tradition zazen is referred to as shikantaza, not doing, letting go of thoughts, dropping off body and mind. This sitting meditation is the focus of our practice. Language limits our ability to communicate the true nature of zen; it is something that is better understood through practice. We are open to everyone interested in learning about zen. Intro workshop for newcomers is available at 5.30pm each Sunday. The dojo is a sacred place and it is important to be considerate of everyone. We have many people that travel to practise together once a week or once a month. So for that reason it is really essential that we all know the structure of the sitting practise (when to sit, how to do Kinhin, the different bell sounds and their meaning etc), to ensure a silent, safe and meaningful meditation. And it's also great to meet everyone before the sitting practise. And answer any questions you may have. We have zafus and zabutons (mats and cushions) for all to sit on. Chairs are available too. Comfortable clothing for sitting, black or neutral tones best. We greatly appreciate a donation of €5 to cover costs if it's possible for you. Please arrive 10min before start so 6ish (if you're not doing the intro workshop). You are very welcome to our dojo!

Our goal is always to grow in our love, knowledge, and relationship with Jesus and to have fellowship. We invite the presence of the Holy Spirit as we meet together and we've had some great conversations and revelations. Please join us as we continue our Bible study and prayers.
