We encourage our members to support anime artists and producers by purchasing their movies or any full series should they wish to watch the endings.
**Some insight for newer members:**
It's a natural process to feel a little anxious attending a large event you have never experienced before. During sign ins our hosting team will naturally be busy however our meet & greet volunteers will do their best to say 'Hello' to everyone and perhaps connect you to others. If for some reason this does not happen (because it's really busy), don't fret! Our ice breaker games are designed to help everyone bond over a shared experience. You should expect adults having fun and letting lose whilst being challenged to push some comfort zones which we invite you to do as well! The games are suppose to be silly to help people come out of comfort zones and get to know someone new. We will then take a break to watch anime and we really do encourage you to stay for games after dinner which is when our team gets a breather and a good chance to get to know our newer members better in a quieter setting! We have witnessed many wonderful long term friendships formed at MAC amongst our members - We do hope you join us!
**THANK YOU FOR YOUR DONATIONS**
A big thank you to everyone who RSVPs - This money helps with the club's upkeep and hiring of the venue! We are completely NOT-FOR-PROFIT and we sincerely appreciate your contributions!! Raffle tickets will be available on the day to further support our MAC community!!

Werribee Gorge Off Track Adventure - Grade 5, Difficult, 12km
**Werribee Gorge OffâTrack Adventure Circuit â Scrambles, River Crossings & Big Grins**
*This is a serious grade 5 hike, similar in sone sections to the Cathedral Ranges Southern Circuit but generally without the exposure*.
Ready to ditch the manicured trails and step into something a little wilder? This is a 12 km offâtrack circuit through the heart of Werribee Gorge, weaving together hidden tracks, rugged terrain, rocky scrambles, three cheeky river crossings, and a whole lot of âI canât believe we just did thatâ moments. Expect 4â5 hours of proper adventure, teamwork, and big views across one of Victoriaâs most dramatic gorges.
**â°ď¸ What to Expect**
- Offâtrack walking on rough, uneven terrain
- Three minor river crossings (yes, your feet may get wet)
- Lowâgrade scrambling using hands for balance
- Minor hill climbs and occasional bursts of strenuous effort
- Countless small obstacles to negotiate together
- A swim option for the brave â the water here is gorgeous
- Lunch together in a picturesque location
- A huge sense of accomplishment at the end
This is a real bushwalk, not a Sunday promenade. Youâll need a healthy, adventurous spirit and a willingness to help each other out.
I used to be a hiking guide and climbing instructor if that gives you a clue on the type of route this might be, Iâve done this special route many times with many people that I've taken for a little adventure â very few people know it exists, and itâs an absolute gem.
**Note:** As a proper adventure style hike conditions may dictate the route, nothing is certain and we may need to find alternative routes if necessary. Times are only an estimate and please give a large allowance as to how long things actually take. If you have strict schedules, don't come on this trip.
The walk will be done at a pace that may be slow due to the terrain that needs to be negotiated and for observing all the amazing natural wonders along the way.
**đ Start Time & Meeting Point**
11:00 a.m. sharp
Meikles Picnic Area, Werribee Gorge State Park
Please aim to arrive by 10:45 a.m. â there is usually no phone reception, so once youâre in the carpark, youâre in the communication void.
**đ What to Bring**
- Hiking boots/shoes (preferred) or sturdy runners (the are some step slippery sections where having a heel and decent lugs as opposed to flat soles would be far better)
- I'd bring a pair of sandals or thongs for the river crossings unless you prefer bare feet or happy to clomp around in wet footwear
- 2 litres of water minimum
- Snacks + lunch
- First aid kit, whistle, hiking pole, gaiters (if you have them)
- Swimwear/towel if youâre keen for a dip
- A sense of humour and a willingness to get a little dusty
- It's a team effort, so a willingness to help each other out
- Bring clothes suitable for a hike, not street clothes.
**Ideally**
Gaiters, Whistle, First aid kit, small backpack
**â ď¸ Experience & Fitness** Requirements
This walk requires:
- Prior bushwalking experience
- Reasonable fitness
- Comfort with rough, rugged ground, scrambling, and uneven surfaces
Because this is a more demanding route, the event will be waitlisted.
If I donât know you, please include a short description of your recent bushwalking experience and current fitness level. This helps ensure everyone on the day can complete the circuit safely and enjoyably.
***I reserve the right to refuse participation of people that are improperly equipped and dressed, this is a demanding trip***
I will only accept around 8/10 people on this trip
**đť PostâWalk**
Weâll wrap up with a wellâearned drink at a Bacchus Marsh pub â the perfect way to toast a day of adventure.
**Group policies**
**đ Attending Without Being on the Going List**
This is a security issue.
**Do NOT turn up unannounced**.
If youâre not on the Going list and havenât arranged it with the organiser beforehand, you will be asked to leave. Event checkâins are performed.
**đŠDisclaimer: No Liability & Organiser Indemnity**
By participating in this event, you acknowledge and accept full personal responsibility for your own safety, wellbeing, and belongings. The organiser assumes no liability for injury, loss, or damage incurred during the activity. Participation is entirely at your own risk.

An opportunity to experience authentic human connection, as you are, in the present moment.

This is a relational practice centred on present-moment awareness to build bridges of true connection between our inner worlds. Here, you will be offered a space for:
⢠practicing authentic expression
⢠relating with wholeness and integrity
⢠attuning to our bodies and lived experience
⢠gaining insight into relational patterns and habits
Through guided paired and group interactions, participants practice presence, honest expression, and deep listening. Using self- and relational-awareness activities, you will be invited to share your authentic experience as it unfolds in real time, fostering individual and collective attunement.
To support depth and quality of relating, this is an intentionally small group, limited to 8 participants.
Open to adults who are curious about or experienced in Circling, Authentic Relating, and other relational practices, as well as anyone interested in deepening their capacity for connection and self-awareness.
This is a facilitated relational practice and not therapy or clinical treatment.
⸝
More information about the practice:
The session will be independently facilitated by a certified Transformational Connection facilitator trained by the Transformational Connection organisation (formerly known as Circling Europe).
An introductory video and additional information about the Transformational Connection practice can be seen at this [âWhat is Transformational Connectionâ](www.transformationalconnection.com/what-is-transformational-connection) page

CBusData: The Fellowship of the Star Schema: Transforming OLTP Data for Power BI
The Fellowship of the Star Schema: Transforming OLTP Data for Power BI
One does not simply build reports on OLTP data. Join us on an epic journey from the depths of raw, normalized tables to the shining halls of a well-modeled star schema fit for Power BI greatness. We will demystify the differences between OLTP and OLAP, walk through star schema vs snowflake (and why Power BI has a clear favorite), and show you the compression differences between normalized and columnar storage that will make you never look at an OLTP model the same way again.
We will cover the different types of dimensions, when to use them, and how to handle Slowly Changing Dimensions without losing your mind. You will leave knowing exactly how to identify a bad model, how to convert OLTP data into a clean star schema, and how to forge relationships that rule them all.
Whether you are a data wizard, a curious hobbit, or somewhere in between, your models will never be the same.
The Graduate
This 1967 film is widely regarded as one of the best American movies ever made. Now remembered almost as much for its Simon and Garfunkel music as its deadpan comedy and being the role that established Dustin Hoffman as the hottest actor in Hollywood. It became a cultural icon for capturing the spirit of 60s angst of a young man on the make, while garnering a batch of Oscar nominations.
After watching the movie on your own, join us to relive (or experience!) those feelings at our discussion.

...and speaking of breakthrough roles: who can forget the first time we saw Tom Cruise singing Bob Seeger in his underwear? How LLMs Like ChatGPT Actually Work and How to Build With Them
**First meetup of the Columbus AI Engineering group.**
Weâll kick things off with a practical, beginner-friendly discussion on:
**How LLMs like ChatGPT actually work â and how to build real applications with them.**
Weâll cover:
* whatâs actually happening under the hood (at a high level)
* why LLMs behave the way they do (hallucinations, prompt sensitivity, etc.)
* how people are building real systems with them today
* where things break in practice
This will be a **short, informal talk (\~15â20 min)** followed by open discussion and Q&A.
Whether youâre an engineer, builder, or just curious about how modern AI systems work, youâre welcome to join.
No slides, no fluff â just real conversation about real systems.
Weâll hang out afterward and get to know each other.

Join us as we get together to get together to help those in need at this CMG Gives Back event! We have a great little community of Movie Group friends so rather than see a movie this time, weâll help âcreate a better worldâ by helping serve those in need. Here are complete details and our plan for this event:
FAITH MISSION â GRANT KITCHEN: The Faith Mission kitchen and dining room serves residents 3 meals a day, every day of the year. For this event, our group will help prepare food, serve meals, assist residents in the dining room, wash dishes, and clean surfaces.
PLAN: We will be preparing / serving / cleaning for BRUNCH from 10:30am to 12:30pm and have space for a total of 7 volunteers. Please arrive at 10:20am and wear closed-toe shoes and long pants.
LOCATION: Faith Mission â Grant Kitchen is located at 245 N. Grant Ave. Enter the kitchen at Dock 1 (in the back of the building), indicated in the attached map. On-site parking in the adjacent lot and street parking is available in the surrounding area. Below are some links / attachments with additional info/details:
IMPORTANT REMINDER: Our group will be providing all of the volunteers on this day so a firm RSVP count is essential. Please only sign up if you are certain youâll be able to attend. If something unavoidable comes up, please try to update your RSVP no later than one week prior to the event. With few exceptions, no shows or cancelations within 1
week of the event will not be eligible for future CMG Gives Back events. I appreciate your understanding as we try to ensure the agencies have the volunteers needed to provide the essential services they provide to the vulnerable population they serve. Our Partner Agency for this event is Lutheran Social Services! A huge THANK YOU to all of YOU for volunteering at this (and any of our previous) CMG Gives Back events!
Should be a good/fun/meaningful time together, Dan
Psychic Development Series II - Pueo Group
Private Group. Closed to the Public
Knowing ourselves and understanding our abilities is the first step toward wielding our gifts with control and accuracy.
In subsequent classes we will verify and hone our talents with activities and discussion. These are hands-on workshops and participation is expected.
The goal of our series will be to develop expertise in areas of particular interest such as mediumship, channeling, divination, healing and, etc.. Our ultimate directions will be determined by class members as we evolve.
I look forward to sharing and discovering with you. - Cynthia
