Frankston - Sorrento - London Bridge Lookout return (109km, +681m)
* Frankston forecast for Easter Monday: 25°C
* Cloudy. Medium chance of showers, most likely later in the day. Winds north to northeasterly 15 to 20 km/h increasing to 25 km/h before tending north to northwesterly 15 to 20 km/h during the day.
* More info at this link closer to the day:
* http://reg.bom.gov.au/places/vic/frankston/forecast/detailed/#d2026-04-06
*
**Ride**: This is a group ride to Sorrento at a moderate pace specifically for distance rather than speed. So, other than climbing the few short hills, we'll endeavour to keep close as a group. We regroup after hills and have one or two breaks, eg Safety Beach.
**Speed**: 25-30 kmh in a group on flat ground, winds permitting. (Typical speeds, not average).
**Note**: This is a ride intended for **Upper Intermediates**, please. There are some bike-lanes but not everywhere. You should be confident in traffic.
We meet in Frankston and ride to Mornington and beyond then via the esplanade and the rolling coastal hills of Mt Martha to Safety Beach. From Safety Beach it's a flat ride to Sorrento for lunch. After lunch, we will do a 15 min ride to the lookout before returning to Frankston.
Coming back is via the same route.

Driving? You'll need to park a little away from the Visitors Centre where it's not restricted parking. Please allow enough time to be early to the start.
The Visitors Centre has closed however toilets are available 50m south.
**Bring**: Water, sunscreen, tube, tools, snack food, energy bars, lunch and emergency money (eg maxicab), your phone with my number.
