❗**Please provide your full legal name when registering - otherwise you will not be allowed entry to the event.**
**Be ready to show a photo ID at your arrival, exactly matching the name you provided**
🚀 **Talk description**
Join us for an evening exploring real-world lessons from rebuilding a product around AI agents. We'll share the journey from early assistant failures to production agentic workflows including the organizational shifts, technical decisions, and hard-won insights along the way. At the helm we’ll have two guest speakers:
**🗣Claudia Teres, Lead Product Engineer @ Intent HQ, Barcelona, Spain**
Claudia is a skilled software engineer helping bridge the gap between product and tech, currently leading the development efforts of Intent HQ’s agentic product.
**🗣Manuel Fidalgo, Senior Machine Learning Engineer @ Intent HQ, Barcelona, Spain**
Manuel is a hands-on machine learning engineer whose main focus is the development of agents, tools and the infrastructure surrounding these, empowering other engineers and data scientists to deliver the right value in the GenAI context.
**What we'll cover:**
**🎯 The Product Journey:** Why we chose to rebuild rather than iterate, how we validated the new vision with a constrained POC, and why making agent reasoning visible in the UI became critical to user experience.
**⚙️ The Technical Deep-Dive:** Finding the balance between deterministic and non-deterministic actions, designing agent boundaries, toolsets vs MCPservers, managing context windows, and building guardrails that actually work.
We'll also discuss high-impact bets (A2A, MCP), cross-functional team dynamics, and why speed of learning beats perfection in fast-moving AI spaces.
🗓 **Agenda:**
**18:00: Reception**
**18:30: Event introduction**

The More Beautiful Work: Career Wayfinding Towards Meaning and Regeneration
In this interactive workshop, we come together to explore what it means to create work that is meaningful, alive, and in service to a more regenerative world.
Through dialogue, reflection, and shared inquiry, we’ll explore questions such as:
\* What challenges do we face when creating work that truly matters to us?
\* How might meaningful work unlock human potential and contribute to a regenerative economy?
\* What is the “more beautiful world” we each feel called toward?
\* How do our personal stories and lived experiences shape the contribution we’re here to make?
\* What holds us back from stepping into that contribution?
\* How can we navigate uncertainty with greater courage, trust, and clarity?
This is a space to listen deeply, to ourselves, to each other, and to something greater that wants to emerge through us.
Facilitated by Sunil, Career Coach and founder of [Free Your Flow](%5Bhttps://freeyourflow.org%5D(https://freeyourflow.org)).

!ENGLISH! THURSDAY / Opera Cafe - Philosophy Meetup: 19:30h - 21:00
Hi and welcome to our next Socrates Café philosophy meetup!
Do you have a hunger for deeper understanding of yourself and the world? Do you value deep, honest and respectful dialogue?
If yes, then this meetup will be very interesting for you.
• WHAT IS A MEETUP ABOUT?
At every meetup we have a discussion using Socratic method:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Socratic_method
We ask, answer and discuss questions and ideas to stimulate critical thinking and to widen our perspectives with new concepts and thoughts.
The main purpose of these meetups is to enrich ourselves with the perspectives of others, not to convince others about our own perspectives.
Our meetups are about our own philosophies of life and not necessarily what the great philosophers and academics have said or written. It is not a debating club or a platform for proselytizing. Instead, we place the emphasis on questioning, open mindedness and challenging our own assumptions while listening to and respecting the views shared by others.
A Socrates Café meetup is considered a success when participants leave a discussion with many more questions than they had at the beginning.
• WHAT TOPIC IS DISCUSSED AT THE MEETUP?
Participants suggest topics at the beginning of each meeting. We then vote and choose that event's most popular topic for discussion. No academic training in philosophy necessary; just enthusiasm for exchanging ideas and points of view.
Some examples of subjects chosen on previous meetups:
* What ideals are worth dying for?
* Why are we never satisfied?
* Why is it that human beings know that the society is going wrong, leaders are well informed about it and things continue as is?
* Is identity necessary?
* How can it be that people in democratic societies are so obsessed with power? (Desire to be different, better, stronger than others)
* What is friendship?
• WHO PARTICIPATES AT THIS MEETUP?
Anybody is more than welcome to join our meetups. Our events gather people from different backgrounds, different cultures, while no philosophical background is mandatory.
Our usual participants are people that have a hunger for deeper understanding of themselves and the world. People that value deep, honest and respectful dialogue.
The inspiration for Socrates Cafe originates with the book of the same name, written by the philosopher Christopher Phillips. (Socrates Cafe: A Fresh Taste of Philosophy, 2002). Phillips felt that the Socratic method of dialogue and discussion should be practiced not just in academic settings, but among everyday people interested in examining deep questions together. Hundreds of Socrates Cafe groups now exist around the world. Quantum Thinking: Physics, Consciousness and the Supernatural (Tickets on Luma)
**What if the most useful tools for navigating our future world aren't from business schools or consultancies, but drawn from quantum physics, metaphysics and extra-dimensional sources?**
**[Tickets must be purchased in advance via LUMA - from 9 Euros.](https://luma.com/dplywd1n?utm-source-meetup)**
There’s no doubt that we are living through a period of profound disruption to humanity. From rapidly changing geopolitics to AI, we can often find ourselves confused or concerned with the implications and our own survival. With so much uncertainty and change, how do we stay grounded to make decisions that move us toward better outcomes?
In this Growth Lab LIVE session, designer, futurist and author, Phil Balagtas explores how engaging with these questions can expand our thinking and unlock an alternate ambitious and optimistic approach for how to think about the future.
Advancing research on consciousness, quantum physics and non-human intelligence have quietly influenced how scientists, researchers, technologists and futurists are thinking about and understanding the world around us.
They’re shaping the newest technologies on the horizon and awakening us to possibilities that are beyond anything we can imagine.
In this session, we’ll draw on these theories to provide new inspiration for ways to navigate uncertainty and the rapidly changing reality we are witnessing.
Ultimately, we’ll offer a new perspective that can help us imagine and work toward more preferable futures for our businesses, communities and ourselves.
We'll explore:
• What are some basic foundations about quantum physics and how its being used today to advance computing
• How consciousness and our perceptions of reality can be shifted based on quantum principles
• The strange and beautiful phenomena that is being documented and disclosed that could potentially shape a future where humans are not the most intelligent species on the planet
**About the speaker:**
Phil is a designer, strategist and futurist based in Barcelona. He has over 25 years of experience designing digital products, services and strategies for a variety of devices and platforms. Within the last decade he has served as a Design Director for General Electric’s Digital Aviation group and for McKinsey & Company. Today he is a professor at Elisava University and leads his own consultancy called HABITAT training organizations on Futures Thinking. He has just published a book on O’Reilly called, Making Futures Work: Integrating Futures Thinking for Design, Innovation and Strategy.

Prompt vs. Paintbrush
AI is changing how art is made. But when does it stop being your work and start being the machine’s?
This month we're going to be doing a panel with with digital image, music, and written word artists, talking about at what point, while using AI in the creation process, does the work become not the artist creation?
We encourage audience participation during this event that will be moderated by Chris Slee.
Whether you’re deep in the field or just getting curious, come connect with others building and exploring AI in Columbus.
