Make games? Fund games? Dream about making games? *This one's for YOU!* IGDA DC and Loric Games are joining forces with support from Arlington County for a night where the DMV's game dev community shows up in one room. Students, hobbyists, seasoned devs, artists, investors, and the curious-but-haven't-started-yet are all invited! Show off what you're building in our open show-and-tell session (prototypes, jam games, or half-finished chaos), get live portfolio feedback from the Loric team, and meet the people who make, fund, and champion games right here in the DMV. Whether you've been playing since Guitar Hero 1 like me or want to try out Rock Band 4 for the first time, you're welcome at the Console Gamers Group Rock Band & Rhythm Gaming Meetup! I have a projector equipped loft for Rock Band (Beatles, 3, and 4), Guitar Hero (Warriors of Rock and Live), Dance Dance Revolution/StepMania, and Just Dance. There is also a second bedroom that can be used for games like Frequency/Amplitude, Taiko no Tatsujin, DJ Hero, Beatmania, Parappa the Rapper, Deemo, Voez, the Persona Dancing games, and more. When you arrive please park in a space that does NOT have a number or says "Decal Parking Only"; if those aren't available there's lots of open street parking within the Penderbrook community (I'm right in the middle so either side is cool; parking on Center Way or the middle of Penderbrook Drive is best) but please don't parck on a yellow curb or you might be towed! You'll want to turn at the sign that says "The Greens" onto Golf RIDGE, and then to Golf TEE where I'm the first house on the left. When you enter walk all the way up and to the right; look for the Super Mario Bros. doormat. I'm about 10 driving minutes from the Vienna/Fairfax metro station. We usually go out for dinner at around 5 PM; I live a short drive away from lots of shopping centers including Fair Oaks Mall, Pender, Fairfax Shopping/Towne Center, Fair Lakes Promenade, Fair Lakes Center, and Fairfax Corner. Please be responsible with other people's controllers, consoles, games, furniture, etc. Accidents happen, but if you continuously break things you won't be allowed to use people's equipment. 2. Try and keep a positive atmosphere. A lot of people attend the group to escape from their daily lives. Don't feel like you need to leave your problems at the door, everyone needs to vent once in a while, but please attempt to not do so the whole meetup. We're here to have fun after all, so try and keep it that way! <3

In terms of setup, I have a TV for videos and general gaming, a monitor in a different room for smaller games, let's plays, and streaming, and a projector in the loft for movies and larger games requiring more space like Dance Dance Revolution, Just Dance, and Guitar Hero/Rock Band. For consoles I have PlayStations 2 through 4 plus a PS TV, Wii/Wii U, Switch, and PC. I often move my consoles around (either for let's play or streaming purposes or to bring them other places), so if you can't find what you're looking for just ask. I don't own any XBox consoles but you're welcome to bring yours if you'd like! Bring a favorite game or pick out a new favorite!

Come out to the Reston Community Center and play some games! Party games? Strategy games? Tabletop role-playing games? This massive space can accommodate games for every interest. While the event starts at 5pm, feel free to roll in whenever you are able! If you have games to bring that you'd like to share or run, please do! Food and drink are not provided within the venue, but you are allowed to bring in anything you need from outside locations, just please be considerate of other people's games and the tables when doing so. Park anywhere in the parking lot. The Community Center building is located directly behind Ledo Pizza. Walk straight back to the main room once you enter the building. A Pathfinder Society adventure for 1st-2nd level characters, playable in 2-3 hours. During the exploration of an ancient Jistkan ruin in Katapesh, the automaton Star goes missing, leaving their archeologist companions worried for their safety. The head archeologist calls upon the Pathfinder Society for assistance, but warns the agents that arrive that the ruin is filled with dangerous creatures and traps and that they should be careful while exploring. A strange frozen automaton meets the Pathfinders on each floor, slowly pointing the way deeper and deeper into the ruin. Will they find Star? Or does the automaton have more malicious motives? Whether you’re a lifelong fan or new to their music, this tribute promises to be an unforgettable experience filled with energy, enthusiasm, and plenty of dancing. Don't miss your chance to be part of this extraordinary celebration of ABBA from some of New York’s finest!! Lets get there at 6:30 to grab space on the plaza. The band plays from 7:30 - 9:00. Bring a chair to take a break from all the dancing we will do! Park in the ParkX lot. You will have to take a ticket but the event event organizers will hand out chaser tickets to make the parking free.
