🏳️‍🌈 A four-week Balboa dance course for beginners for April 2026. No prior experience required. This is a special LGBTQ+ course, but everyone is welcome. It is a partnered social dance where you improvise whole dances with your dance partner(s), suitable for mid to fast tempos. **We will be teaching everybody both how to lead and how to follow**, but feel free to stick to a role you feel more comfortable with or want to focus on. **What to wear** Comfortable clothes, glamour optional ✨ **No partner required** Just bring yourself – we will be changing partners every few minutes, so you get to dance with everybody. However, if you come with someone and you would like to dance just with them and nobody else, that is no problem! **Location** We will be in the Oval, a beautiful side hall of the Pillar Room, situated in the Rotunda Hospital. You will be provided directions once you are registered for the course.

\*\*Each week we typically have 2-3 spots open to players from this app. This is why you will only see 2-3 attending. The others are regulars and we coordinate in a private WhatsApp group\*\* We play a 6v6 game every Wednesday @ 8:00PM in SportsCo, Dublin 4. The pitch we use is spacious an ideal for 6v6 (ball/all bibs provided). To encourage passing and flowing football, goals can only be scored from inside the penalty area. Games are played in a friendly atmosphere and slide tackles are prohibited. We don't have stick keepers and use a last-man back policy. There is a core group of regular players who have played with us for years but we also invite a handful of pickup players to play from this app. If pickup players like the vibe they might have the option to subscribe on a longer-term basis. This game has been running on the same pitch for over a decade. The games are good quality with good technical players and always played in a nice, competitive atmosphere.

As noted last week, it's now "Summer-Time" for our run, as daylight has returned, and will be with us of many months. whilst the temperatures may not yet be climbing, Storm David is behind us, and this week, the run will terminate in **Mother Reilly's in Rathmines**, which of course does have a wonderful Beer Garden, although it may be the next visit before that can be enjoyed. But never fear, it also has a welcome fireplace, and great beers to replenish after a run. Note of praise to those from the group that recently paid a visit to Berlin for a wee run around that city - Congrats to all who took part over there, and enjoyed the Beers afterwards. For newcomers, our Group Runs are great fun, safe for all, and once the run is complete, we can share a beer, have a good chat, make new friends, and look forward to the following week. Please join us the 3rd Wednesday of each month to learn more about the Columbus Ski Club and what we have to offer. Pizza, wings and a variety of appetizers provided. We are a non-profit organization founded in 1958 with over 800 members. The club has grown beyond the single mission of providing members with not only quality skiing events but also year round social and sport activities.
