We will get-together at the KereKere cafe - at the community table just inside the cafe entrance. *This is a group for people with intermediate and advanced level French who are able to engage in a conversation en français. It is not suitable for beginners.* The cafe is close to the corner of Wellington Parade and Lansdowne St, East Melbourne in the Fitzroy Gardens. It takes about 5 minutes on Tram 75 from Flinders St Station, or 15 minute walk. Car parking around Fitzroy Gardens on Sundays now is $2 per hour with a 4 hour limit, Some parking is limited to 1 hour even on Sunday. And occasionally, if there is a game at the MCG for example there might not be much parking at all. You will need to pack a lunch for this ride, we will be departing from Yarraville Station where there is an abundance of Melbourne’s best cafes to purchase lunch but you will need to do this before we depart at 10 am. Also, if you would like a coffee before you get on the road you will need to arrive before 10am where you can enjoy the best of Melbourne’s best yummy café coffee and food and then be ready to go at 10 am. We will take Ballarat Street to Stoney Creek reserve then get on the federation and other Western trails which will take us almost continuously to Point Cook Coastal Reserve and Historic Homestead. After lunch and maybe a beach walk to the Eastern tip of Point Cook we will cycle the coastal trail back to Altona. For those who have parked at Yarraville they can catch the train back to Yarraville. At Altona we can get on the train. Point Cook can be windy so bring woolens and an all weather jacket even if there is a forecast for sunny weather. This ride is for those who are as good at listening to others opinion as they are at expressing their own opinion.
