A casual (but coordinated) coffee break to meet new friends, take a Zoom break, and get your AM caffeine fix. Stop by for a few minutes or stay the whole time. Bring a friend or wander in solo. Come for the coffee and company, or just bring a book to read while surrounded by other in-real-life, community-seeking humans. Come by every Friday, or just when you happen to be in town. Make it whatever you need it to be that week. It's not an \*event\* per se, but we hope these Friday meet-ups can become a fixture of the bookshop! Are you looking to try out ceramics or up-skill your existing knowledge? Look no further! This workshop is standalone or you can book a block of 4 that need not be consecutive. It takes place in a very spacious and bright studio and you are welcomed to come with your own ideas or simply follow along and let your creativity blossom during the mindful 3 hours of making. The main technique used during the session is hand-building giving you the option to create functional ware or small sculptural work. Beginners will be guided through the process using techniques such as slab building, coiling, pinching, texturing and surface decoration. The more advanced will be free to create and those with experience throwing would be welcomed to use the wheel which would need to be reserved in advance. Those of you who would like to learn about glazing would need to book 2 workshops. The workshops are mainly run in English but I do speak Catalan and Spanish. They also provide a great opportunity for non-native speakers to practice their English. Please join Columbus Tea Lovers for a tasting of loose leaf teas at a private residence in Worthington. (The address will be sent out via private Meetup message a day ahead to those who have RSVP'd.) June 20th is the Worthington Arts Festival so feel free to attend that event which is down the street in addition to the tea party. For this tasting please bring a tea or tisane (an herbal brew that contains no tea leaves) does not come in a prepackaged tea bag. You can feel free to bring it pre-brewed in a carafe or thermos; please leave out the milk and sweetener as we will have some on hand to mix and match. We will have the kettle on and fillable single serve disposable tea bags if you would like to bring the tea leaves unbrewed and extra tea cups on hand as well. We welcome you to bring snacks or desserts that are you enjoy pairing with tea. You can bring a chair if the day is nice in case we sit outside. There is a cat in the house, so be aware in case of allergies. If you want to write in the chat what you plan to bring so we don't have a lot of the same thing, please do so!

5:45-7:45 in Conference Room B, Library lower level. Bring your yarn projects, meet new friends. If you plan to attend, please RSVP yes. If you can’t attend, please change your RSVP to no. This helps anyone who is waitlisted and it allows me to have an accurate count of attendees as our space is quite limited. Plenty of parking in the lot, in the overflow lot across the street, and on the street. See you there!
