**Level:** All levels, open to beginners Contact Improvisation (CI) is an open, welcoming movement practice where we come together to explore how our bodies communicate through touch, shared weight, and physical awareness. It began in the United States in 1972, developed by dancer and choreographer Steve Paxton, and draws inspiration from modern dance, aikido, and somatic practices. At its core, CI is about listening — to gravity, momentum, and each other. We follow what happens in real time: leaning, lifting, rolling, falling, and finding balance together. There’s structure, but no fixed choreography. It’s playful, physical, and deeply responsive. You don’t need to be a professional dancer to take part. CI welcomes experienced movers and complete beginners alike. If you’re curious, willing to stay present, and open to exploration, you’re in the right place. Welcome to the IHL's Sci-fi book and movie club. We focus on a particular book/movie at each meeting, but of course the conversation isn't only limited to that particular book/film. * Feb 28: discussion of Mickey 17 (movie) and of chapter 10 on the teletransportation problem in Derek Parfit's Reasons and Persons (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Teletransportation_paradox). The discussions will take place in English. A good way to join the discussions is to give your own personal responses, explain why you think or feel that way, and offer some examples from the book or movie.
