Open House at Japanese English Toastmasters 🇯🇵🇺🇸
[Japanese English Toastmasters (JET) Club](https://jetoastmasters.toastmastersclubs.org/directions.html) is hosting an Open House on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, from 6:30 to 8:00 PM at a venue in downtown Washington, DC.
At the Open House, guests will enjoy a demo Toastmasters meeting. You are welcome to participate in an impromptu speaking session along with our members.
We are currently welcoming new members. This is a great chance to get a feel for our club and see how we work. Guests with any level of proficiency in Japanese and English are welcome—no prior public speaking experience is required.

**About Our Club**
JET is a nonprofit bilingual speech club based in the Washington, DC area.
Our members enjoy cross-cultural exchange while developing their public speaking skills in Japanese and English, using their target language in a supportive environment.
We hold regular meetings on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month, where members practice prepared speeches, impromptu speaking, and evaluations in both languages.

Top Notch Toastmasters is a friendly, supportive public speaking club based in **Takoma Park, MD**. We meet on the **2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month from 7:15 pm to 8:30 pm** at the **Takoma Park Fire Department, 7201 Caroll Ave, Takoma Park, MD 20912.**
To enter, go down the driveway beside the building, then enter the basement door at the rear corner of the building (beside the parking area designated for Fire Officers).
Our mission is to create an enriching environment where members can develop essential communication skills such as **listening, critical thinking, and speaking**. These skills build confidence, strengthen leadership, and deepen understanding between people.
At our meetings, you’ll see prepared speeches, constructive evaluations, and fun impromptu speaking (Table Topics). Guests are always welcome, and there is **no pressure to speak** until you feel ready. You can simply come, observe, and get a feel for the club.

Lewis Smith Toastmasters Club
The Lewis Smith Toastmasters is a local club under Toastmasters International. We improve our communication, public speaking and listening skills by working with others in a fun, enjoyable and supportive environment.
People join Toastmasters for all sorts of reasons. Some join to strengthen their job related presentations. Others join to develop confidence speaking and listening in English. Yet others join to develop skills such as leading and conducting meetings, skills that are helpful for both volunteer work and in the work place.

Our next club meeting is on Sunday will start at 2:15, please join early. if you're coming in-person, parking is free and usually ample at the Community College on Sundays, and most of us park where the spaces are designated for staff and have never had a problem.

Agricultural Research Center Toastmasters is conducting a 5-session Public Speaking Workshop. The sessions will be held in person on Wednesdays March 4-April 1, 2026 at 5:00-7:00 pm. ARE YOU READY FOR A LIFE-CHANGING, CAREER-ENHANCING EXPERIENCE? The Agricultural Research Center Toastmasters in Beltsville, Maryland meets on the first and third Wednesday of each month to practice our communication and leadership skills. Our members are from different cultures and backgrounds. Several of us are scientists for the US Department of Agriculture. Others work at the Patuxent Wildlife Research Center.
