**"Man meets woman**" is *Yang Liu*'s pictogram book about gender differences that she experienced and put into a funny form for everyone to laugh and talk about. We will start out from watching her pictures (laughing) and discussing what they mean, how true they are and how much do we see them play a role in the everydays. Besides the picture book we go further discussing differences between men and women: the male and female brains, their ways of experiencing life and each other and the struggles and funny sides of dealing with these differences. Own experiences, funny examples, questions, and opinions are very welcome in this jaunty discussion! The topic for July is "Shoes" Speak Easy: true stories, told live. The idea is simple: an audience, an open microphone, and great stories. Hilarious, gripping, poignant- it's up to you. Audiences are invited to come to listen or come to tell as folks from all corners of Columbus offer their stories live on stage! Held at Wild Goose Creative's warm, intimate space, this night of tales occurs on the 3rd Thursday of every month. Doors open at 6:30 pm, show starts at 7:00 pm. Please arrive early if you want to tell, as we generally only have room for a limited number of tellers, and the sign-up sheet has a tendency to fill up fast. Formed around the idea that people need stories--they're what hold and draw us together--SpeakEasy celebrates the strangeness and commonness of being human.
