Participants are invited to explore and discuss these images together, considering what feels surprising, what turned out to be accurate, and how past visions compare to the technologies we know today. **Optionally,** we will also screen a short video featuring young people from 1966 sharing their predictions for the year 2000—offering an additional prompt for reflecting on how future visions are shaped by their historical and cultural context. * **Interactive Exchange (approx. 20 minutes)** Next, participants take part in a guided “opinion swap” exercise using prompt cards. The school was founded in the middle of the 15th century by Iizasa Chōisai Ienao at the Katori Shrine (Katori jingū) and has become the origin of numerous other martial arts schools over the course of its almost 600-year history. The training consists of the continuous repetition of fixed sequences of movements (kata) and includes the use of classic Japanese weapons such as the sword (iai-jutsu, battō-jutsu, ken-jutsu, ryōtō-jutsu, kodachi-jutsu), the long staff (bō-jutsu), the lance (naginata-jutsu) and the spear (sō-jutsu), as well as unarmed disciplines, tactics and spiritual aspects. **The Katori Berlin dojo** is the only official shibu of Otake Nobutoshi-shihan’s dojo Shinbukan in Germany and fully dedicated to the transmission and study of one martial tradition: Tenshinshō-den Katori Shintō-ryū. Through these efforts we aim to contribute to the cultural preservation of this martial tradition. The dojo has one officially appointed shidosha. **Our sensei**: Sebastian Graetz has been active in martial arts since 1997. After almost 15 years of taekwondo in Berlin, he started with Katori Shintō-ryū in Asia in 2014. Since then, he has studied in Japan with Ōtake Risuke-shihan and Ōtake Nobutoshi-shihan, and in Vietnam with Malte Stokhof-shihandai. In 2023, he received his Menkyo license and permission to set up a training group in Berlin the following year.

Today we look at the works of an artist who over the past two decades, has built an oeuvre consisting primarily of screen prints on paper and canvas. Prior to that, the artist had worked extensively in photography, filmmaking, and set design. The screenprinting work is informed by architecture - ancient and modern structures, calligraphy, graffiti, handwriting, and the movement of the masses through big metropolises. Other techniques on paper are included in the visit - from lithography to etching, cyanotype to woodblock printing - and more! Please note, the studio visit starts promptly at 12:00. This studio is located on the top floor and has no elevator: you will have to walk four flights of stairs. Beverages will be served, poetry may be read. With Berlin Fashion Week taking over the city this week, it felt like the right moment to look at where fashion and art truly meet. We meet and sketch each other in Berlin. This is just an art gym that we also exercise our social skills. Afterwards usually we go for lunch as a group. **How Does It Work?** This event is simple, we meet and sketch each other doing portraits. Most of the participants use pencils or watercolors. Main aim is to socialize while we draw. There will be plenty of time to talk and get to know each other. We have to mention that this event is suitable for all levels. Many have started to draw in our event actually. **Structure** A. Warmup Phase: We pose to each other for 1 minute. B. Main Phase: We pose to each other for 10 minutes. C. A 2‑hour painting session focused on colorizing 3D‑printed models. **About this course** This workshop is designed to introduce participants to the world of painting 3D‑printed objects such as busts, masks, figurines, and miniatures. Whether you want to learn techniques for smooth gradients, realistic textures, weathering, metallic finishes, or character detailing, this course will guide you through every step. You can join at any time. Each session is self‑contained and suitable for all skill levels. All essential painting materials are provided, and you are welcome to bring your own brushes or paints if you prefer.
