sMove! Winter Training – Moving into Your Potential ❄️✨
### ***This is a closed course that can only be booked and attended as a whole.*** ***So it’s best to join one of the other sMove! trainings beforehand – either on Thursdays in the park or online on Saturdays: [www.baerbelsinger.de/smove ](www.baerbelsinger.de/smove)*** \-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\- ### Sensing and Expanding 🌿 sMove! invites you to expand your sensations and ways of expression through the body. The movements are simple and playful – yet they go deep: by moving with awareness, you discover qualities within yourself that are often covered by habit or tension. ### The Body as a Container 🌀 The body is more than muscles and bones – it is a container of memories, energy, and possibilities. In sMove! training, we explore this potential through rhythm, new movements, and focused attention. Each movement becomes an opportunity to sense more clearly, to shift old patterns, and to unfold new qualities – vitality, calm, presence, joy. ### Clarity through Intention 🎯 What makes sMove! special is not performance or perfection, but the direct experience of your body paired with intention, precision, and letting go. When you allow your body to guide you, space opens: your mind becomes quieter, energy can flow, aliveness grows. sMove! strengthens you inside and out – with more flexibility, strength, and ease. ### Experiencing Community 🤝 In the group, connection arises. Everyone moves in their own way – and yet we resonate with the shared rhythm. This collective presence builds trust in your own strength, encourages curiosity, and makes it easier to try something new. ### Who is sMove! for? 🌍 sMove! is open to everyone – previous experience is recommended (feel free to ask). 15 sessions * **November 2025**: 11., 18. * **Dezember 2025**: 9., 16. * **Januar 2026**: 20., 27. * **Februar 2026**: 3., 10., 17., 24. * **März 2026**: 24., 31. * **April 2026**: 7., 14., 28. 💶 Fee Early Bird: 280€ Full package: **320 €**

Live Music Complaint Party- Let‘s rant, whine and complain together!
Live Music Complaint Party- Let‘s rant, whine and complain together!
**Please note that we invite people through different channels, so there are more attendees than you can see here :)** Normally, the Discussion Experiment is a place where we discuss social, political, and moral questions – but we also like to have fun with the format. Therefore this event will be our stage to let it all out and rant about everything that's currently shitty, sad, frustrating, annoying, infuriating, maddening, disheartening, inconvenient, fucked up, and/or insufferable. But not only that! We will actually have three musicians, who will underscore our ranting and whining! The amazing Emanuelle, Eric, and Rochelle will be co-hosting this event and will improvise on the keyboard, bass, and drums for us. We’ll take turns complaining about everything — from the tiniest personal inconveniences to the never-ending global poly-crisis. You can actively participate or just listen. You can bring a list of complaints or improvise on the spot. We might touch on all kinds of painful topics, but we’ll probably laugh a lot while doing it. (Please note that openness and dark humor are welcome, but discriminatory humor is not.) Find out more in the FAQ below or [send us an email](mailto:info@diskussions-experiment.de) if you have any questions! *Oil painting Antoine-Louis Barye - Large Lion - Walters, Photo and editing by Igor* +++++++++ **FAQ** ***What can I expect from the event?*** Each event is a an experiment so it’s difficult to predict exactly how it will play out or feel. This specific event is intended to provide an opportunity to vent, but at the same time, we want to try to keep it fun and humorous. Let’s see if that works! Please note that individual participants may also bring up very personal and difficult topics. Please be cautious if you have trouble with dark humor or if there are topics that make you uncomfortable when they’re being talked or joked about. ***Who is this event for?*** This event is for anyone who likes this idea and is curious about the event. If you are considering complaining, your complaints do not need to be “original” or “special.” Anything that bothers you is good enough! ***Do I have to actively participate, or can I just listen?*** It’s perfectly fine to just listen. You can decide for yourself at any time how active you want to be and will not be asked to speak. However, there might be breakout groups, i.e. short segments in which all participants talk in groups of 2-3 people. You do not have to participate in these; you can use the time for a break instead. ***What’s the duration of the event?*** Each event lasts between 1.5 and 2 hours. Feel free to stay a bit longer to finish the snacks, chat with other participants, and complain more. ***Is the venue wheelchair accessible?*** The venue is on the ground floor and accessible with wheelchairs. However, there are unfortunately no wheelchair-accessible bathrooms! ***What is "The Discussion Experiment"*** The Discussion Experiment is an ongoing series of events through which we continuously test methods that foster more meaningful and inspiring group conversations. Among other things, we experiment with techniques that slow down discussions, improve clarity, and support participants in expressing their ideas more effectively. Read more about it on the [homepage.](https://diskussions-experiment.de/en/home/)

Business Netzwerken in Moabit am 4. Februar @ 8:45 Uhr
Business Netzwerken in Moabit am 4. Februar @ 8:45 Uhr

From Projects to Products: Why Data Products Are Still Hard
From Projects to Products: Why Data Products Are Still Hard
**From Projects to Products: Why Data Products Are Still Hard** A Data Products Book Launch & Practitioner Panel **About the event** This meetup marks the release of **Amy Raygada’s new book on Data Products** and explores why, despite years of discussion, data products are still hard to implement in practice. Data products are not a new concept. For years, organisations have talked about treating data as a product — with clear ownership, well-defined interfaces, and measurable business value. And yet, many teams continue to struggle with fragmented dashboards, inconsistent metrics, and slow, reactive delivery. So why is this still so difficult? In this meetup, we’ll unpack why data products remain hard in practice — not because teams lack tools or frameworks, but because meaning, ownership, and operating models are often misunderstood or only partially implemented. Through in-depth practitioner talks and discussion, we’ll explore: * Why data initiatives often slip back into project mode * Where ownership breaks down across domains and platforms * How weak semantics and unclear definitions erode trust * What changes when data products are treated as long-lived products rather than delivery artefacts * Why AI and advanced analytics amplify these challenges instead of solving them The conversation is grounded in real delivery experience across engineering, architecture, and data strategy. It also features insights from Amy Raygada’s newly released book, which captures lessons learned from years of hands-on work helping organisations move from intent to execution. Expect practical perspectives, honest trade-offs, and an open discussion — not hype, not vendor pitches, and no one-size-fits-all answers. **About the speakers** **Amy Raygada** Principal Data & AI Strategist at Thoughtworks \| Author Amy Raygada is a Principal Data & AI Strategist at Thoughtworks, with over a decade of experience helping organisations design and govern data products that deliver real business impact. Her work spans data product strategy, governance, operating models, and AI readiness, with a strong focus on aligning technical capabilities with decision-making. This meetup marks the release of her new book on Data Products, bringing together lessons from years of real-world delivery across industries. **Kiran Prakash** Director, Data & AI at Thoughtworks Kiran Prakash is a Director in the Data & AI service line at Thoughtworks, working with organisations to design and scale data-driven systems. In his talk *“What We Talk About When We Talk About Data Products,”* Kiran presents a practical approach to designing, implementing, and governing data products. Drawing on real-world experience, he clarifies what data products are — and what they are not — and explores how teams can work backwards from use cases, apply adaptable implementation patterns, and use governance mechanisms such as fitness functions to keep data products aligned over time. **Carsten Fritsch** Principal Data Engineer at Thoughtworks Carsten Fritsch is a Principal Data Engineer at Thoughtworks in Berlin, with deep experience in data engineering, analytics architecture, and data modelling at scale. His work focuses on semantic layers, shared metrics, and the practical challenges of operationalising meaning across organisations. Carsten brings a grounded perspective on why semantics are foundational to trustworthy data products — especially as organisations move toward AI-driven use cases. **Format** * Each speaker will deliver a **25–30 minute talk**, followed by **Q&A** * Final **panel discussion** with all speakers * Open audience Q&A * Informal networking and book signing \-\-\-\-\-\- **Code of Conduct** We adhere to the [Berlin Code of Conduct](https://berlincodeofconduct.org/) to ensure a welcoming and respectful environment for all participants. The event space operates under largely compatible [Thoughtworks Meetups & Events CoC](https://www.thoughtworks.com/en-de/about-us/events/code-of-conduct-germany). **Accessibility** The Location is accessible for wheelchair users. This includes the entrance (no steps to get into the location), toilets and the stage.

Chitta Walks - Awareness in Motion
Chitta Walks - Awareness in Motion
Chitta Walks is for people whose days move fast, while the mind never fully lands. Thoughts keep looping even when nothing is urgent. The body moves, but attention is elsewhere. Over time, this disconnect drains clarity and ease. This walk is a simple reset. We meet in Berlin’s Tiergarten and walk at a gentle pace. Parts of the walk are in silence, with light guidance and a few short prompts. The walk itself is the practice, bringing body and mind back into the same moment. No apps. No performance. Just a clear space to slow down and notice what is happening. If you want to slow down without withdrawing from life, join a Chitta Walk. ✨ **What to expect (approx. 90 minutes):** * A short arrival and orientation * A guided silent walk (phones off, no conversation) * One concise science-based impulse on attention or stress * Optional reflection in pairs or small groups * A simple takeaway or experiment for daily life 🚶**Who this is for:** * Professionals, creatives, and people in transition. * People who feel mentally busy and want more clarity and balance. * Those curious about mindfulness, but grounded and practical. * Anyone comfortable with silence and gentle self observation. 🔔 **Practical notes:** * Duration: 60-90 minutes * Wear comfortable shoes and weather-appropriate clothing * No prior experience needed * Group size is limited to keep the space quiet and focused 🧭 **Facilitator:** My name is Partha Sarathi, you can call me PS. I have lived in Berlin for over 12 years. With a background in physics and materials science, my interest in mindfulness grew through personal experience with stress and health challenges. I facilitate the space and structure of the walk, inviting shared exploration rather than instruction. 🤔 **Why Chitta Walks?** Chitta is a Sanskrit word referring to the mind or field of awareness, used here in a practical, non-religious sense. Chitta Walks is about noticing how the mind works by slowing down and walking together. Mindful walking makes thought patterns visible in real time, while moving and sensing in the world. The name points to a simple capacity: noticing what is happening in the mind without immediately trying to fix, judge, or optimize it. 🌿 **Possible effects:** A calmer nervous system. Clearer attention. A felt sense of being more present in your body. Subtle insights into how your mind reacts under everyday conditions. A quieter, more grounded way of moving through the city. **Come as you are. Walk. Notice. Leave with a little more space inside.**

Self-Love: Confidence Through Expression
Self-Love: Confidence Through Expression
Confidence can be cultivated in many ways—through reflection, conversation, creativity, and practice. In this Confidence Lab session, we’ll explore one powerful pathway: **building confidence from the inside out through physical expression and movement**. This experience is designed to help you reconnect with your body as a source of insight, self-trust, and presence. We’ll begin by grounding into what’s bringing you here, creating space to notice how your body is showing up and what it’s holding. From there, you’ll be guided through accessible movement exercises that invite awareness and choice—isolating different parts of the body, experimenting with movement, and practicing what it feels like to take up space intentionally. Next, you’ll participate in a small-group dance lesson led in a supportive, low-pressure environment. No dance experience is needed. The focus is not on performance or perfection, but on expression, curiosity, and allowing yourself to move with confidence as you are. We’ll close with a reflective group discussion, exploring what emerged during the experience and how these insights can be applied beyond the studio—how you inhabit your body, how you carry yourself, and how you show up in everyday life. **What to know:** * Wear comfortable clothes and shoes that you feel good moving in * No dance experience required * Light snacks and beverages will be provided This session is for anyone interested in deepening their relationship with confidence by listening to their body, expanding their capacity for self-expression, and practicing self-love as an embodied experience. **Featured Speaker: Mary Grace** Mary Grace, the dynamic force behind MG Choreography & Boutique, has been transforming special occasions with her unique blend of artistry and passion for over seven years. As a proud Latina, with Venezuelan and Mexican heritage, Mary brings a rich cultural perspective to every choreography she creates. Her dedication to dance is matched only by her commitment to empowering others through the joy and elegance of movement. Determined to make a significant impact in Ohio, Mary established the first-of-its-kind brick-and-mortar location that not only offers a space to practice these beautiful dances but also provides a boutique experience for purchasing or renting exquisite dresses and tuxedos for these special moments. Mary Grace is more than just a business owner; she is a trailblazer for Latina women in the community, dedicated to bringing elegance, joy, and a touch of her vibrant heritage to every event she touches. **What is Confidence Lab?** Confidence Lab is a monthly community experience for bold, thoughtful leaders building confidence from the inside out. Whether you’re launching a business, leading a team, navigating change, or simply striving to show up more fully—you belong here. Our work demands clarity, courage, and conviction—but the pace of daily life can erode our sense of self. Confidence Lab creates space to reflect, reconnect, and grow with others doing purpose-driven work. It’s designed for entrepreneurs, nonprofit leaders, creatives, corporate professionals, activists, and anyone ready to lead with authenticity and impact. ***Please note:*** *All are welcome! If cost is a concern, please use promo code PUBLIC to access a free ticket—we want you to join us.*
