That’s when everyone should be there. The area is busy, sometimes messy, full of objects with past lives and people just passing through. It’s a very typical Marolles atmosphere. Mazette opened in 2022 as a **cooperative project**. It was created by people who wanted a place that belongs to the neighbourhood and works with it. It’s not only a bar, and not only about beer. Part of the beer is brewed on site, with the tanks located below the bar. The food follows the same logic: bread baked in-house, a short menu, seasonal ingredients, and dishes that are simple and meant to be shared. Nothing complicated, nothing rushed. The place also works as a neighbourhood meeting point. Locals come in after the flea market, others stay for events or just to sit for a while. Conversations overlap, people stay longer than planned, and the space naturally shifts between café, bar and meeting place. For a small Sunday morning coffee meeting, it’s a very fitting setting: informal, local, and closely connected to the Marolles around it

Our journey takes us once more under the towering beech cathedral of the **Forêt de Soignes**. We’ll begin our transition from city to nature at the threshold where Brussels meets the wild: the entrance to **Bois de la Cambre**. Standing before the **stark white pavilions**—those historic sentinels of the park—we’ll gather our strength before disappearing into the deep greens and dappled light of the ancient woodland. We will go over light trails and firm forest paths (trail shoes aren't a necessity but advisable) - depending on the weather conditions the route may be adapted. Hi, Brussels Runners is also accessible as a club on Strava where you can sign up for the same events. We run 5 kms around Bois de la Cambre divided in one bigger lap of 3,5 kms and a smaller one of 1,5 kms. Both start and end at the Woodpecker so, if needed, you can stop there after the first lap. Our goal is to make running more accessible, for that, the pace is very beginner friendly which is around 06:30-07:00 min/km. That’s English Country Dancing, the predecessor of contra dancing. Now, add moves like “swing your partner” and “do-si-do,” like you’ve seen in square dancing. Set it to fabulous, high energy, live music with fiddles, guitars, percussion and more, alá “Riverdance.” Finally, set the whole scene down in the middle of Woodstock, with a hip, groovy atmosphere, a bit of tie-dye, and hints of counter-culture attitude. THAT’s Contra Dancing! Wear cool and comfortable clothes (you will get warm) and clean shoes that won't mark up our nice wood floor.
