The chapter meets periodically and brings together a carefully curated group of business owners, independent and liberal professionals, sole proprietors, self-employed individuals, traders, and craftsmen. Our objective goes beyond networking, as we will work to give back to the society. To preserve the value of these groups, each chapter will have the policy of only one representative per profession. This ensures a non-competitive environment where members can openly support one another, exchange insights, and grow together. Additionally, an attendance policy will be in place to encourage commitment and continuity, ensuring that every member contributes and benefits the collective momentum of the group. At this initial stage, all participation revenues will be donated to a non-profit organization called SOS Villages d'Enfants Monde, reinforcing our belief that successful businesses have a responsibility beyond themselves. The meetings will be held every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month. An ink painting workshop, an ancient art practiced on rice paper or silk, which combines elegance, tradition, and artistic expression through slow and meditative gestures. You will be guided by Yemin Yin, a recognized artist trained in London and Canton. Her ink paintings are found in collections worldwide. Picture the Grand Ball scenes like you’ve seen in period films such as “Pride and Prejudice”, where the dancers are lined up in long lines, across from each other. That’s English Country Dancing, the predecessor of contra dancing. Now, add moves like “swing your partner” and “do-si-do,” like you’ve seen in square dancing. Set it to fabulous, high energy, live music with fiddles, guitars, percussion and more, alá “Riverdance.” Finally, set the whole scene down in the middle of Woodstock, with a hip, groovy atmosphere, a bit of tie-dye, and hints of counter-culture attitude. THAT’s Contra Dancing! Wear cool and comfortable clothes (you will get warm) and clean shoes that won't mark up our nice wood floor.
