I'm really excited to announce our next Meet Up event. It will take place at Core studio in Rennweg Rennweg 12, 8001 Zurich. Designed to strengthen, release and stretch muscle tensions, conditioning your body by increasing your range of motion and flexibility as well as overcoming back pain; improving your posture and circulation so you can exercise more efficiently, whilst keeping your body injury free. The class is structured as a workout & stretch combination. Open to all levels. You will need to bring a smile, some water and wear comfortable exercise cloths. This 4-week program is designed as an introduction to ceramics and its vast creative potential. Throughout the course, you will learn the fundamental hand-building techniques used to construct ceramic objects, developing skills through practice, experimentation, and repetition. We will work with the **pinch, coil, slab, and hollowing techniques**, creating **4-6 pieces in total**. Some forms will be more demanding, such as **jugs and sculptures,** challenging both technical ability and creative thinking. Alongside building, we will explore **surface decoration**, learning to paint with **underglazes (engobes)** and gaining an introduction to **glazes**. By the end of the course, participants will glaze and finish selected pieces created during the program.
