**Ready for a night of bold flavors and good company? šš**
Skip the kitchen and join your DTs family and friends for a fun-filled dinner at **[Kook Dogg Cafe!](https://www.kookdoggcafe.com/)** After our Thursday night Happy Hour, letās head over for some delicious **artisan pizzas, mouthwatering sandwiches, and unique eats** at **12100 Sunset Hills Rd R-6, Reston, VA 20190**. Whether you're craving a crispy flatbread, a loaded sandwich, or something totally unexpected, Kook Dogg has something for everyone!
Please **RSVP on our Facebook and Meetup pages** so we can give the restaurant a heads-up on how many hungry DTs to expect! We usually have a group of **12-20**, but the more, the merrier! Walk-ins are welcome, but reserving your spot helps us plan better.

Friday Curanderismo Cacao Ceremony & Sound Bath For Ancestral Healing
# Cacao comes from a tree that has been used by Mexican, Central and South American indigenous cultures for spirituality and healing purposes. The main characteristic of this sacred medicine is opening the heart. During this ceremony we will practice the sacred ritual of drinking ceremonial grade cacao in its purest form to open our hearts to invite ancestral healing. Ceremony will be followed by a soothing and relaxing sound healing for you to bathe in the sounds of vibrational instruments. Everyone is welcome to join this ceremony.
In this Curanderismo Cacao Ceremony with Sacred Cacao we will respectfully honor the spirit of Cacao in the traditional ways from the Yucatan Peninsula. Ceremony will be lead by Jenny Perez a Curandera and Shamanic Healer who has worked together with her teacher and elders to facilitate Cacao Ceremonies in the most respectful way , honoring the spirit of Cacao and Los Abuelos de la tradicion (The Elders of the curanderismo tradition and guardians of the sacred cacao).\*\*\*No photography, video recording, or recording of any kind is permited during the ceremony without prior written and aproved authorization. No part of this ceremony or its entirety may be replicated or claimed as your own without legal writen concent from Jenny, Curanderas Heart, and her legal team. Failure to comply will result in legal action by Curanderas Heart legal team. Be respecful of this tradition and all the elders involved in making it possible to preserve this tradition and its sacred ways\*\*\*.
Start hydrating yourself a day before the Ceremony
\*\*IMPORTANT NOTE:\*\* It is possible to experience some side effects such as nausea, sweating, headache, and nervousness with overconsumption of cacao. Please consult with your doctor before consuming ceremonial Cacao. This ceremony is not for people who are pregnant and/or have a heart condition or if taking SSRIs medications.

Weāre still working to get more people into these Meetups, but our goal is to give PlayYourCourt members a few social tennis outings each week in addition to your practice sessions and Challenge League matches.
These Meetups are co-ed, super laid back, and all skill levels are welcome. Post your skill level and a suggested court in the comments section so we can round up as many players as we can for some tennis fun!

Play golf with instructor Ross Gelfo who will float between groups to cover golf situations including proper etiquette, rules, club selection, pace of play strategy, understanding the scorecard, developing pre-shot routines, and more. Price includes 9 holes of walking golf on the par 3 golf course with guidance from the pro. Push carts $7 additional payable at the course. Everyone will need a set of clubs. (Rentals $10)

This is a 10.5 mile circuit hike with 750 feet elevation gain in the Antietam National Battlefield, Maryland. [https://www.nps.gov/anti/index.htm](https://www.nps.gov/anti/index.htm). We will hike on various trails in the park, pass farm houses, monuments and walk along the Antietam Creek. We hike at a pace of 2.5-3.0 mph when moving.

Yappy Hour

HSLC is excited to collaborate with October One Vineyard for a monthly Yappy Hour! To support our local animals, please bring a pet food donation and youāll be entered into a raffle for free tastings and glasses! You can also purchase raffle tickets. Your monetary donations help cover much-needed medical expenses for homeless and at-risk animals. This event will be 5-8pm on the last Friday of every month at the October One Vineyard tasting shop in Downtown Leesburg. This event is free to the public, so stop by and raise a glass. HSLC will be on hand to answer questions and let you know about available animals. Letās ācheerā up our local area animals in need!
Keys Gap to Split Rock via Appalachian Trail (Rating: A)

This hike is a 11 mile out and back, with an elevation gain of about 1,700 ft on the Appalachian Trail, following the border of Virginia and West Virginia, from Keys Gap (Route 9) to Loudoun Heights. We will view but not descend into Harperās Ferry before turning back. Our pace will be about 2.5 MPH

We meet at the Keys Gap Parking lot on the north side of Rte 9 (GPS: 39.2616, -77.7624) just west of Hillsboro, VA. Carpools are highly encouraged, since parking is tight. Overflow parking is available a short distance away at the corner of Rte 9 and Charles Town Road (GPS: 39.2621, -77.7649)
Suggested Carpool location is Centerville P&R. Suggested carpool fee is $7.00. Hike leader will **not** be at carpool location.
