In a world where so many of our conversations happen through screens, some connections still feel deeply real. A best friend. A partner. A person who was there at the right time. Someone who changed the way you see life, love, friendship, or yourself. This collab between Walk and Talk and Formiga Ateliê is a 3-hour ceramics and English conversation experience. While you paint your own ceramic mug, you’ll be guided through meaningful English conversation prompts about the important relationships in your life: how they started, how they grew, what made them last, and why they still matter. In the end you can keep your piece as a personal memory or give it as a gift to the person who inspired it. This is not just a ceramics class. It is a moment to slow down, disconnect from your phone, remember, create, and celebrate someone meaningful. The experience includes: - 3-hour guided ceramics experience - Breakfast/brunch - 1 Mug - Paints, brushes, tools, and everything you need to create your piece Technical assistance The Formiga Ateliê team will provide you with a crash course in portuguese just so things are crystal clear on how to handle the materials and paint your ceramic piece successfully and in the way you want Finishing and lacquering After the experience, your piece will be finished, lacquered, cured, and tempered by the studio Participants will be able to retrieve their pieces up to 30 days later. Join us for an hour of writing! We’ve discovered that it’s strikingly helpful to write with other writers. See if it’s true for you at 7:00pm on Wednesday, February 11 at Streetlight Guild. Be it a book, blog, script, essay, dissertation, resume, melody, poem or just plain work stuff, you are invited to write it with us. No one will see what you've written or give you unsolicited advice. Instead of just thinking about writing, come and get some real writing done. **SCHEDULE:** 6:45ish - Quick introductions 7:00 - Timer starts: write for 1 hour 8:00 - The End **OPTIONAL SOCIALIZING** happens before and after the writing hour.
