Acoustic night with Meaghan
Join us in Nanny O’ Sheas on the 4th if May for a relaxed evening of unplugged music, where we share songs, laughs and a love for all things musical.
Whether you're a seasoned performer or stepping out of your bedroom with your first song, this is a space to play, listen, and connect.
**New to performing?**
We want to create space that is especially welcoming to first-time performers. If you're new to sharing music, know that this is a no-pressure, supportive space where beginners are encouraged and we value having fun over perfection!
**How it works:**
* It’s unplugged and intimate. We go around in a song circle - each person gets a turn to play one song per round. You’re welcome to sit out a round if you prefer.
* Singers welcome - no instrument needed. Go acappella or ask for accompaniment.
* Covers, originals, instrumentals - all styles welcome.
**A few practical notes:**
* RSVP is essential in order to perform.
* Plus one’s are welcome RSVP only required for musicians.
* Can’t make it? Please update your RSVP so someone else can join.
* Respect the performers: stay quiet during songs, and use breaks between rounds to grab a drink or step out.
* The venue is free so we encourage you to support the bar by grabbing a drink.
* The room we will be in is semi-private - patrons may wander in and listen from the back of the room.
**Tips jar on the night
**
This helps cover the Meetup fee that hosts pay out of pocket (around €17/month). No pressure to contribute (but it helps keep things running)
Gay Guys Café Goes Hiking ⛰️
Hi All, the hike is at 1pm tomorrow 04/05/26 (weather permitting ⛈️❌) in Ticknock Forest and doing the 3 rock trail ⛰️. All are welcome. I think the hike will be approx 2 or 3 hours. After the hike we might go get food in Dundrum 🍲. Some people are interested in watching the Devil Wears Prada 2 there in the cinema 🎥, this would depend what time we get off the hiking trail / showtimes etc.
Please wear appropriate clothing and bring a change of clothes, any lunch or snacks you might need
Conscious a lot of people don't have the use of a car so this is the closest area we can think of in the Dublin/Wicklow mountains that has public transport around. The nearest bus stop is Kingston bus stop in Ballinteer number 2975 & 5171 which is served by the 16, 74 & S8 busses https://maps.app.goo.gl/t2Pz4tfVYFZavkU7A. We will be meeting at 1pm in Ticknock Forest Carpark beside the Biking.ie rental shop / Trails Café https://maps.app.goo.gl/ULr3XruhDHhdPg887 if people drive they can go directly there if not we will see you here at 1pm. Please plan accordingly and for any drivers please offer lifts where possible. This is an open event so pass on to anyone 🙂 For further details on the hike see https://www.alltrails.com/trail/ireland/dun-laoghaire-rathdown/three-rock-wood-and-ticknock-loop?sh=6r7do5&utm_medium=trail_share&utm_source=alltrails_virality[Bus](https://maps.app.goo.gl/t2Pz4tfVYFZavkU7A)[Ticknock Forest](https://maps.app.goo.gl/ULr3XruhDHhdPg887)[All Trails Hike Info](https://www.alltrails.com/trail/ireland/dun-laoghaire-rathdown/three-rock-wood-and-ticknock-loop?sh=6r7do5&utm_medium=trail_share&utm_source=alltrails_virality)

Howth Social Cycle
Make to the most of the bright evenings and join us for a social cycle out to Howth Village.
Total distance 25 km. Mostly flat with an optional climb up to the Summit.
Here is our plan for the evening.
1️⃣. We leave at 6 pm from the sails sculpture on Clontarf Road.
2️⃣. Cycle out to Sutton Cross along the coastal cycle path
3️⃣. Here we turn right and cycle directly over Howth Hill
4️⃣ Short stop in the village for a coffee and a chat, then back by shorter route aiming to be back to Clontarf by 8:30
🪖PLEASE WEAR A HELMET and bring a tube in case you have a puncture

Killakee Viewpoint ✳️
Join us for this Thursday evening cycle on the southside of the city up to the Killakee viewpoint and back. It’s a decent climb and offers some great views over the city.
🚨Warning: this cycle has a steep/long climb.
🔴 Back and front lights on your bike are essential for this cycle.
The total distance is 25km, and so not far but it has 350m of climbing taken on all at once. For perspective, 350m is about twice the amount of climbing as the Thursday Howth cycle. If you are unsure of your ability to do this, I recommend trying the Thursday Howth Cycle first. We do not go fast up the climb, we go as slow as needed.
Here is our plan for the evening:
1️⃣We leave at 6:30PM from Swan Leisure
2️⃣We cycle south through Rathfarham and climb up to Killakee via Stocking Lane
3️⃣If time allows, we'll make a stop at The Merry Ploughboy pub for a break and refreshment before heading back to the start.

CBusData - Practical AI for Power BI Developers
Practical AI for Power BI Developers
A year ago, “agentic AI” was mostly hype for Power BI teams. Today, it deserves your undivided attention. For Power BI pros, there is now a real opportunity to reduce repetitive development work, accelerate delivery, and help developers do more, but only when strong DataOps practices are in place to make AI workflows effective.
This session is a no-nonsense introduction to effective AI patterns for Power BI and Fabric development. Along the way, we will make sense of the growing pile of terminology, including skills, plugins, hooks, and MCP. You will see examples of how modern AI tooling can help with development tasks across Power BI and Fabric, along with the prerequisites, guardrails, and DataOps principles needed to use it responsibly.
Whether you're burned out on AI hype or already using Copilot CLI daily, this session will show you the foundations that are finally making AI-assisted development genuinely useful.
