June Stitch 'n Bitch
🧶 **What’s Stitch ’n’ Bitch all about?**
Think of it as the sassier, yarn‑covered cousin of a book club — but with far fewer rules and far more laughter. Stitch ’n’ Bitch is a global community built on the simple joy of making things with your hands *while* having a good old natter.
Whether you’re into knitting, crochet, embroidery, cross‑stitch, weaving, or just aggressively untangling a ball of yarn you found at the bottom of a drawer, you’re in the right place. The crafts are the excuse — the banter is the real event.
Expect:
🧵 Stitches dropped, picked up, and occasionally sworn at
🪡 A mix of beginners, pros, and “I just like the vibes” attendees
💬 Chat ranging from wholesome catch‑ups to delightfully juicy gossip
😂 The kind of easy, silly conversation that makes Monday nights feel a lot less Monday
It’s cosy, it’s creative, it’s a little cheeky — and everyone’s welcome to pull up a chair and join the chaos.
What to bring:
B.Y.O. yarn, knitting needles/ crochet hooks or whatever you use to craft.
Knitting/crochet or sewing patterns if applicable
Work in progress craft projects
Agenda:
Arrive to the Alexandra at 7pm, there will be a table booked. Come say hello and let's get crafting!

This well-proportioned flip-lidded box is constructed of European redwood using a single dovetail joint at each corner and the fitted hardwood lid is attached to the base by a handmade ‘dowel’ peg hinge. The project will familiarise learners with many classic woodwork techniques and is taught with patience and enthusiasm by Andy Nicholl, who has devised this informative and challenging project.
You will take home a treasure to treasure- and we hope it will enthuse you to learn how to make many handmade woodwork projects in the years to come.
If your keyboard-weary hands have been needing the skill to fulfil and satisfy a yearning desire to create something you can hold, come and join us in our well-equipped and inspiring workshops and discover the wonderful world of woodwork.
**Key skills:**
* Measuring marking and cutting dovetail joints to make an accurate framed box.

OBJECTS REIMAGINED: STILL LIFE PAINTING & COLLAGE ONLINE COURSE
# OBJECTS REIMAGINED: STILL LIFE PAINTING & COLLAGE ONLINE COURSE
**Painting, abstraction, composition, collage-**
**Work with objects to create abstraction, lush layers and colour juxtapositions in this beautiful new online course with artist and London Drawing tutor Cat Tams**
This online course explores everyday objects as a dynamic subject for observing, remembering and reimagining. We will use a playful combination of painting and collage to build still life landscapes of form and colour – building confidence in developing creative and effective compositions and colour palettes that bring your still life painting to life!
We will take inspiration from artists such as Miyoko Ito, Holly Coulis, Natalie Du Pasquier and William Scott to illustrate the qualities of dynamic still life painting and to inspire our own work. Cat will lead you through a series of processes which will unlock your creativity – and help you to bring depth and confidence to your painting.
We will use the traditional subject of still life to build contemporary compositions and develop beautiful expansive pieces you will want to hang on your wall!
If you have taken a course with Cat before this will complement everything so far – and works perfectly as a stand-alone course if you are a newcomer – Recordings will be provided after each class and available for 6 weeks – extensions are available if you need it.
We hope you will join us!

**Course Endorsements:**
*Hi Cat and Anne,*
*Really enjoyed the recent Still Life in Colour course with Cat. As a relative newbie to painting still life it was an excellent introduction to the subject and there were plenty of challenging exercises which made me look closely at colour and form. The collage session was also great fun. Attached are my exercises. I hope Cat will do more on-line Still Life courses where I can build on what I’ve learnt.*
**Anton Clements – November 2025**
*Hello Again Anne and Cat,*
*What I especially liked about the workshop was the way Cat laid each session out, each one building on a better understanding of color relationships and mixing color. I especially appreciate being able to look at the recordings again and see how Cat set up her palette then mixed and applied her paint. Somehow it was much more informative that just watching someone do a demo.*
*When we were live I was focused on my own painting so it is great to see those recordings again. I think the exercise using collage to create color was very effective because it didn’t make total sense until the last session when it all came together.*
**Heather Blume – November 2025**
*I found that it was a great help watching Cat on the screen mix the colours as it’s something I struggle with. Then also being able to watch her use the colours and demonstrate how she did the painting and her process was so helpful. Making a collage and then painting from a collage was a way of breaking down the process and therefore painting in a different way and I really valued this.*
*Cat showed us lots of examples of different artists always pointing out their way of working and shining a light on their process of painting. The time was very well structured and moved at a pace that was very manageable. Cat has a lovely personality and way of presenting which is so likeable and a joy to work with.*
*Thanks for putting on this class!*
**Vivien Rosenblatt November 2025**
*I wanted to give you some feedback because I loved this course!*
*I loved painting from the works of different artists. The collage and painting combination from last week was wonderful. Cat really made me stop and think about colour.*
*As someone who can be easily discouraged, I greatly appreciate Cat’s relaxed attitude. Not everyone who can do something well can teach it well, she is one of those people. I’m delighted to hear that she will be doing more, I can’t wait to sign up.*
*London Drawing has quickly become important to me, the portrait classes and life drawing are pure pleasure.*
*Thank you all so much for all of your effort and hard work.*

Pitch.London - Founder Matchmaking & Speed Problem Solving
Pitch.london is a curated speed-networking event for founders, operators and serious builders.
Short, structured conversations. Sharp prompts. Real chemistry, fast.
The hardest problem in early-stage entrepreneurship is finding the right people. Most events leave it to chance. We don’t.
The room is curated, the prompts are clear, and the format is built for high-signal encounters between people who are actually building something.
In one evening, you can meet more relevant people than you might in months of random networking.
Two formats. One room. Zero fluff.
**01\. Founder matchmaking pitches**
Sixty seconds to share who you are, what you’re building, and what would actually help right now.
Whatever you’re looking for, the room is built to help you find it: people to build with, people to hire or be hired by, advisors and investors, or honest feedback on what you’re shipping.
**02\. Group brainstorms**
Small, time-boxed groups tackle a real challenge brought into the room.
Bring a live problem you’re stuck on. Get five minds on it for ten minutes. Leave with new angles and next steps.
**This room is for you if you’re:**
* A founder seeking a co-founder
* A founder seeking a first hire
* An operator looking for a serious team to join
* A technical builder open to commercial partners
* A commercial builder open to technical partners
* A second-time founder scoping the next thing
* An angel investor close to the early-stage scene
It’s probably not for you if you’re hunting for clients, selling services, or still working out what you’re looking for.
**Run of show**
* 17:30 to 18:00 Doors, drinks, soft start
* 18:00 to 18:05 Welcome and the rules of the room
