When we slow down and bring our attention to the present moment and try to stay curious about what’s actually happening, so much begins to reveal itself. Things that usually go unnoticed come into awareness - whether that’s sensation, impulse, feeling, thought, image, or desire. In a recent circle, a participant described the practice as “intimate”, and that feels true for me also. It invites moving closer to and revealing one’s inner world - first to ourselves and then to others if we choose to. Circling is a practice I know well, through many years of practising and leading groups, as well as through my one-to-one NARM work with clients which underpins my practice.
