I will give an introduction to the fundamental concepts of time series modelling, with a particular focus on ARIMA models. Yoga Classes with Hannah Fitzpatrick on Wednesday evenings at Anam Ashram, Tallaght, 7pm-8:8.30pm. This is a moderate paced class where we will stretch and strengthen our bodies in various ways, but we will also keep a keen awareness on our breath and body-sensation throughout. We'll aim to increase our connection and our compassion to ourselves, while also giving our bodies the refreshing and rejuvenating workout it adores and requires! Well, I trust that we all enjoyed summer last week, here we are in June, and the rain has returned, or at least it's forecast for the week, you never know, this is Ireland after all! Congrats to anyone who completed the mini=marathon in Dublin on Sunday, or maybe ventured south to Cork for their running festival over the weekend. And of course, great to see *parkrun* still enjoys many of our group taking part across the country, and beyond. So this week, it's a revert to **The Hill in Ranelagh** for drinks and chat after the run, which works up a thirst, and for some, an appetite. **Abstract:** Motivated by the challenges of detecting extremely rare failures in sophisticated circuit design specifications, we study the problem of efficiently identifying multiple disjoint regions of interest (ROIs) — regions of a continuous, high-dimensional parameter space where a complex, expensive-to-evaluate target function falls below or above a pre-specified threshold. We reframe this problem as a Bayesian sequential decision-making problem and, more broadly, as an instance of strategic agent behavior in continuous spaces: an agent that must allocate a hard evaluation budget intelligently, updating its belief about the unknown function after each observation and choosing the next query to maximize coverage of all disjoint failure regions rather than convergence to a single optimum.
