Rock N Roll Showbiz Tour: Music, Radio, Theatre, Media, Film & TV + Drinks
Rock N Roll Showbiz Tour: Music, Radio, Theatre, Media, Film & TV + Drinks
If you’re artistic and creative — or were always that kid who dreamed of working in exciting sexi professions of entertainment, fashion, music or the performing arts — then this will be right up your street! An insider showbiz and entertainment walk led by someone who’s lived inside the industry - a radio music founder, presentator and club DJ, a former Correspondent for a global News Agency bigger than the BBC, an advertising / media agency exe, a red-carpet luxury fashion brand strategist and a failed boy band muscian (I still got the spiked hair!). So you can expect stories to be told with real passion, authenticity, personality and first hand knowledge... This 90 mins backstage wander will take you straight through London’s creative arts & entertainment industry showbiz bloodstream. We’re talking live broadcasting nerve centres, global pop stars, legendary stages, Hollywood hideouts, iconic comedy clubs, ad agencies that won general elections (think Nigella Lawson), recording studios, fashion designers, radio powerhouses, and the secret corners where reputations are negotiated over overpriced cocktails — all set against the music soundtrack of a city that’s launched everything from Britpop to boybands to global club culture. You’ll hear where the UK’s biggest radio stations broke chart‑toppers annd turned unknowns into global popstars, where stars of the film and stage made their name, how certain streets shaped entire genres, how comedians went from dingy basements to national treasures, and why London’s music scene has always been the city’s loudest, messiest, most influential creative engine in the world This free tour will unapologetically appeal to: * **Pop‑culture lovers** who treat celebrity interviews and album drops like sacred texts * **Creatives & media people** who love a bit of insider sparkle and know the difference between a PR stunt and a genuine cultural moment * **Entertainment Culture lovers** who collect fun facts from music, film, art and can name their favourite live performance of all time * **People working in or have a passion for films, theatre, radio, music, comedy, TV, dance, media, advertising** (**e,g M&C Saatchi)**, **performing arts** and everything in between * Anyone craving something different and creative yet authentic, fun with just the right amount of chaos Expect a crowd that gets excited about the things normal people pretend not to care about — iconic ad campaigns, legendary performances, scandalous headlines, radio gossip, film magic, music history, and the beautiful mess of how culture actually gets made. You’ll walk, you’ll laugh, you’ll learn things you absolutely did not expect, and you’ll leave feeling like you’ve unlocked a secret level of London — the one where the stories, the scandals, and the soundtracks all collide Lucas — The Entertainment Mongul

Rabble - Fitness Through Games!
Rabble - Fitness Through Games!
A Rabble session is 1 hour of fun and social team games. Each game disguises high-intensity intervals within the rules, giving you an effective, all-body workout without even realising it. We play a bunch of different games at each session (like British Bulldog, Capture the Flag, Dodgeball, Frisbee and many more), and every class is different. Sessions are open to all, no matter your sporting ability. Each game is explained before we start, so there's no need to have played any of the games before. Come solo or bring friends! And stay at the end for the social part! Who knew getting fit could be this fun? **TO BOOK**: It's essential that you book onto sessions via our website, using the link below; due to restrictions on games and preparation times we cannot accept walk-ins, or late arrivals. [https://joinrabble.com/locations/london/](https://joinrabble.com/locations/london/) Use the code **FREEPLAY** to get your first game free! *** We play every: * Monday in Finsbury Park (19:00 - 20:00) * Tuesday in Shoreditch (19:00 - 20:00) * Wednesdays in Elephant & Castle (19:00-20:00) * Saturday in Southwark Park (10:30 - 11:30) * Saturday in Finsbury Park (11:00 - 12:00) * Sunday in Clapham Common - Exact Location is here : https://what3words.com/drums.yards.early We hope to see you playing soon! PS. We've got a group of dedicated regulars, so numbers are often much higher than Meetup might suggest. 💿Love Dance Music? Euphoric Rave😃 @Iconic KOKO🎧🎼
💿Love Dance Music? Euphoric Rave😃 @Iconic KOKO🎧🎼
**Love dancing to hedonistic, high‑energy dance tunes?** Then join for our second edition of an euphoric, high‑octane dance music night with one of the finest French Swiss **dance‑music DJs and Producers** out there dropin phenomenal uplifting spiritual, hypnotic melodic grooves for us to lose ourselves to in one of the most iconic venues in London’s clubland — **KOKO** Camden, in the home of music. Collectively - their music has amassed over 18 million streams. Expect a proper dance music club‑night experience with inspiring immersive lightshows / lasers for our bodies to sync in harmony to as with gyrate to the **rhythms** of the night. Obvs there will be no uncool mainstream "touristy" pop rubbish but proper dance music - think - ecstasy inducing tunes you'd dance to at other music clubs like Lightbox, Egg, Bagleys, Ministry, Moondance, Fabric, Paradise, Studio 54 (Brooklyn) spun by global DJs renowed in these genres. We'll join up to 1,500 other fellow cool young trendy music lovers for a night of blissful musical tranquility, Average age range will be 18 to 35ish heavily skewed toward 20s men. **Free Tickets limited.** Sorry but if you don't love both uplifting dance music and dancing to it - please don't rsvp and deprive genuine musical dancers an extremely rare free place! And honestly, if you're only gonna stay for less than a couple of hours there's probably no point in coming. You don't need to stay till 5am like last time but as per most proper clubs - the real revellers don't usually arrive untill 1ish and the main DJ / music sets don't even kick off till 12 so it's would be waste of a free ticket that you'd normally pay up to £70 quid for! Oh & please don't ask me about 3,4-methylenedioxymethamphetamine - I'm not a biochemist - try your local Boots! **=== Time To Make The Floor Burn But Early ===** The only downside is we have to get in there before 11pm else regular door charge tickets will be about £45-80 quid. If you wanna pay for full price on door/ pre-buy and meet us in there later that's cool too as 11pm is understandably way too early to go a club (hence the free tickets) - we can sort out the details later. DM me for the free ticket link. We'll meet beforehand somewhere quieter for pre-drinks, intros, banter and obviously music chats about our previous rave escapades, our fav tunes, and non-music related banter. As Koko gets packed by 2am (1500 standing dancing cap) and we have restricted free tickets - to avoid losing people - a small group size will be optimal for dancing and socialising so limiting RSVPs. Obviously you can dance with the other ravellers once they arrive. Will update with nearby super cheap pre-drinks Camden venue in the location and comments so keep an ear out Lucas The Raver

Data & Analytics Wednesday - The Data-Driven Brand
Data & Analytics Wednesday - The Data-Driven Brand
**The Data-Driven Brand: Using Analytics to Shape Perception** Can you use analytics to improve tacos? This being CBUSDAW, we think the answer is probably “yes”, but we’re not sure how to implement or test this theory. For our April meetup we’ve got Sara Kear, CMO of Condado Tacos, to investigate this delicious question. Sara will explore how she blends quantitative data and qualitative customer feedback to shape brand positioning and drive business decisions. We all know that marketing and analytics go way beyond attribution. Sara will show how Condado uses customer insights to inform product and pricing strategy. She’ll also highlight how Condado leverages customer feedback at scale to influence operational priorities, positioning marketing as the voice of the customer across the organization. In the last 12 years Condado has gone from one location in Columbus to 52 locations across 10 states, so we’re guessing there’s more to that growth than really good guac (though the guac probably helps). Ultimately, this talk focuses on the intersection of art and science—using data to inform creativity and build a brand that resonates with customers in a measurable way. **About Our Speaker** Sara Kear is Chief Marketing Officer at Condado Tacos, where she oversees brand, restaurant design, menu and pricing strategy, off-premise including catering, and customer data strategy. Since joining in 2021, she has helped grow the brand from 19 to 52 locations while building a data-driven marketing organization focused on loyalty and customer insights. Condado has since been named to the Inc. 5000, recognized as Breakout Retailer by Chain Store Age, and consistently ranked among FastCasual’s Top 100 Movers & Shakers. CBusData: The Fellowship of the Star Schema: Transforming OLTP Data for Power BI
CBusData: The Fellowship of the Star Schema: Transforming OLTP Data for Power BI
The Fellowship of the Star Schema: Transforming OLTP Data for Power BI One does not simply build reports on OLTP data. Join us on an epic journey from the depths of raw, normalized tables to the shining halls of a well-modeled star schema fit for Power BI greatness. We will demystify the differences between OLTP and OLAP, walk through star schema vs snowflake (and why Power BI has a clear favorite), and show you the compression differences between normalized and columnar storage that will make you never look at an OLTP model the same way again. We will cover the different types of dimensions, when to use them, and how to handle Slowly Changing Dimensions without losing your mind. You will leave knowing exactly how to identify a bad model, how to convert OLTP data into a clean star schema, and how to forge relationships that rule them all. Whether you are a data wizard, a curious hobbit, or somewhere in between, your models will never be the same.

AI is changing how art is made. But when does it stop being your work and start being the machine’s? This month we're going to be doing a panel with with digital image, music, and written word artists, talking about at what point, while using AI in the creation process, does the work become not the artist creation? We encourage audience participation during this event that will be moderated by Chris Slee. Whether you’re deep in the field or just getting curious, come connect with others building and exploring AI in Columbus. Sponsored by [Transform Labs](https://www.transformlabs.com/services)
