Let's back to run ! We will meet by the Magic Fountain (Font Magica de Montjuic ([https://goo.gl/maps/RWPuTcn8htM2](https://goo.gl/maps/RWPuTcn8htM2))) - Plaça de Carles Buïgas at the end of the first stairs - just 2 minutes walking from placa Espana towards Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya. We'll decide the route on the day.. or just follow Olivier... ;) We'll meet at 7:30pm but we'll start running at 7:35pm. Please be on time. Normally we do about 8-10kms in an hour during which we climb to the castle at the top of Montjuic. The accumulated elevation is about 300m depending on the route. Note that this is *NOT* a beginner's run. It can be quite challenging. We recommend that you only join this run if, on a flat course, you can do 10km in 50mins or less or really like running up hill! If not it might be better to first start with one of the beach runs on Tuesday or Thursday. Starting from October it is getting dark pretty early and not all the streets of the route have lights. If you have a headlamp please bring it with you but it is not mandotory. Es un entrenamiento exigente aunque accesible si ya tienes algo de experiencia corriendo. No está hecho para debutante. Por favor apúntate solo si puedes correr 10km en 50 minutos mas o menos. De octubre a mayo el recorrido es de noche por lo que es recomendable llevar frontal, aunque si no tienes, no hace falta. La propuesta de esta actividad es participar en una visita comentada de la exposición *“Los Nabís: de Bonnard a Vuillard”* que se celebra en la sala de exposiciones de La Pedrera. Los Nabís fue un grupo de artistas franceses que emergió a finales del siglo XIX bajo la influencia de la pintura de Paul Gauguin y el arte japonés. El grupo reunió a más de una docena de artistas de personalidad diversa, pero con intereses comunes, como la dimensión simbólica y emocional de la pintura, o el interés por las formas depuradas, los colores intensos y la exploración de la superficie plana del espacio plástico. La exposición es una oportunidad de conocer con detalle a este grupo singular de creadores que se autoafirmaron como “los profetas” del nuevo arte, y que históricamente se sitúan en la transición entre el impresionismo y las primeras vanguardias históricas. La muestra reúne cerca de 200 piezas de artistas como Paul Sérusier, Pierre Bonnard, Édouard Vuillard, Jan Verkade, Élie Ranson, Maurice Denis, Félix Vallotton o el escultor rosellonés Aristide Maillol. La exposición está comisariada por la historiadora de arte Isabelle Cahn, especializada en Los Nabís y conservadora del Musée d’ Orsay, museo que ha colaborado en el proyecto que se presenta en La Pedrera de Antoni Gaudí. La actividad tiene un costo de 16 euros que incluyen la entrada a la exposición y la visita comentada.

Exiten muchas visitas al Observatori Fabra.... pero pocas cuentan con el privilegio de tener como **guía** a su **responsable en meteorología**, **Alfons Puertas**, miembro de la Academia de las Ciencias y las Artes de Barcelona Y es que en la cima del Tibidabo, nuestra montaña más barcelonesa, existe uno de los **observatorios astronómicos más antiguos y emblemáticos de Europa**: el Observatori Fabra. Pero además de los astros, y de forma mucho más desconocida, en el Fabra se estudia la **meteorología** de Barcelona y su sismografía (terremotos) desde principios del s.XX. Aspectos en los que aprenderemos mucho! Además, en la ruta nos hablarán de **su telescopio centenario**, el firmamento, las galaxias, la historia, los **aparatos meteorológicos**...etc. Y para subir al Tibidabo haremos **una bonita excursión**, con unas **magníficas vistas sobre la ciudad**. Session Abstract ### Data Cleansing using Data Bricks Machine Learning is highly dependent on adequate data. Not only does quantity matter, but more importantly quality. In this session we’ll cover how to build a custom automated process using Data Bricks. This will provide methods for cleaning data in a data lake using functions in Azure. \*Please note, that we will be using Microsoft Teams for the online portion of this meeting. You may want to join a few minutes early to ensure you do not have any issues. If you are attending in person, there are large TVs at the office, and you do not need to bring a laptop or use Teams.

Customer identity resolution becomes increasingly complex as organizations scale across multiple systems, regions, and data formats. Traditional rule-based approaches often fail to keep up with data variability, require constant manual tuning, and struggle with real-time processing needs. This session presents a practical approach to building a scalable identity resolution pipeline using AWS services and modern AI techniques. The architecture combines data ingestion through Amazon S3 and AWS Glue, transformation pipelines using Spark on EMR, and machine learning models deployed via SageMaker for entity matching and standardization. Graph-based relationship modeling is implemented using Amazon Neptune to improve resolution accuracy by incorporating household and shared attribute context. We will walk through how machine learning models can be used for name and address normalization, how intelligent blocking strategies improve matching efficiency, and how feedback loops can be introduced to continuously improve accuracy.
