Hello everyone! This is a challenge walk where it is more than our usual walks of 15km and only open to people that has joined us at least thrice! The plan will only be revealed in the whatsapp group chat! The route may be modified during the walk to better suit the group’s pace and fitness levels. The organizers will make adjustments as needed to ensure the walk remains enjoyable and manageable for all participants. Do drop me a message via whatsapp or via meetup if you will be late. You may consider the following: 1\. Comfortable Clothing • Moisture-wicking fabrics: Avoid cotton, as it traps moisture and causes chafing. Instead, choose clothing made from materials like polyester, nylon, or merino wool, which keep you dry. • Comfortable socks: Opt for moisture-wicking socks with cushioning to reduce the risk of blisters. 2\. Proper Footwear • Well-fitting shoes: Ensure your shoes are properly broken in and provide enough support, especially if you're walking long distances. Sturdy hiking or walking shoes with good arch support are ideal. • Blister prevention: Consider blister-resistant socks or pack blister pads to address any discomfort before it becomes a problem. 3\. Hydration • Water bottle: Stay hydrated throughout the walk to maintain energy levels and prevent dehydration. 4\. 🏛️ **WHAT'S PRACTICAL PHILOSOPHY ABOUT?** Practical Philosophy is a weekly meet-up that brings critical thinkers together for an opportunity to dive deep on a topic, practice communicating, and building a community. All with no ‘official’ philosophy knowledge required! 😎 Practical Philosophy is based on the idea that philosophy should be accessible to all, and not something reserved only for academics. Each week we choose a topic, and the goal is to use the conversation to develop our critical thinking and communication as we explore that topic. The goal is to help develop our Critical Thinking, Communication, and Community 🙌 📓 **HOW DOES IT WORK?** Each week, we pick one topic and discuss it. The topic for the week is shared, generally in the [Whatsapp group](https://chat.whatsapp.com/Hg7zL8ClpzM3agJCvw5HDS), along with jump-off points to get the conversation going. When groups get bigger than 7-8 people, it’s important that we break into smaller groups. This way we are able to maintain a conversational flow as opposed to having our meetups feel like a discourse or lecture. **General Meeting Agenda** Each Practical Philosophy meet-up follows this general timeline: * 19:00-19:15 - People arrive and chat, get to know each other before the ‘official' start. * 19:15-19:25 - Meeting introduction, explanation of Practical Philosophy and the topic for the week, read the guidelines and the overview so attendees know what to expect in terms of timelines. * 19:25-20:45 - Break into small groups - introduce yourselves and general thoughts on the topic, open discussion afterwards. At this point the group can review the ‘jump-off’ questions as needed, but they are just there to help guide the conversation. It’s not obligatory to answer them. * 20:45-21:00 - Bring everyone back together to discuss conclusions of the topic - each group gives a short 1-minute summary. Hi yall! Scheduling an informal junk journaling session where we can chit chat and journal together. To help us get acquainted, I am giving this session the theme of: **WHAT'S YOUR TRUTH?!** \*\*\* **What is it** Junk journaling is a way to get creative and express yourself by creating visual pages in a journal. It is similar to collaging or scrapbooking, except with more freedom! You can use any materials like product packaging, receipts, stickers, washi tapes, photos, etc. and even draw and doodle. Just make whatever makes you happy. For this session, we'll discuss and journal according to the theme above. **It doesn't matter if you're new, we'll discuss tips and ideas!** **What to bring** Your journal + any materials you want to use. Some ideas include: \- "Junk" i\.e\. product packaging\, receipts\, brochures \- Stickers and washi tapes \- Magazine\, book or newspaper cut\-outs \- Crayons\, glitter pens\, colour pencils\, markers I will have 2-3 pairs of scissors, glue stick, assorted washi tapes, colour pencils and some "junk" on hand to share, but these may not suit your style or be enough, so please bring your own. **Where is it** ONALU Bagel Haús 60 Stamford Rd, #01-11, Singapore 178900 (inside SMU, beside the Fort Canning park connector) There are colourful benches outside the cafe with lotsa space to journal. **DC Service Jam is back.** This March, SD:DC is hosting the DC edition of Global Service Jam 2026 week. We are part of a worldwide movement of designers, strategists, and curious minds who come together to build real service concepts from scratch. From **Saturday March 14 to Sunday March 15**, you'll work in a small team around a secret theme revealed at kick-off. No briefs, no client. Just hands-on design, rapid prototyping, and plenty of Post-its. This year we're bringing AI into the mix.
