**\* This is an in-person event** Most people only experience finished products. Very few get the opportunity to work on something before it's finished when it can still be shaped. This is one of those opportunities. Karen Hold, Director of DT:DC, is currently developing a new innovation skills workbook with Jeanne Liedtka, based on over a decade of teaching and working with leaders across organizations, universities, and the DT:DC community. Her work focuses on the five statistically validated skills that help people develop as innovation leaders. This workbook builds on her work in design thinking and innovation education, including programs at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business, École des Ponts Business School (Paris and Casablanca), and Boston College. For this session, Karen will share a draft chapter of her new workbook for live testing. This is not a polished workshop. It's a working lab. You won't just participate. You will help shape the material itself. What We’ll Be Testing: * Whether the exercises actually help people think differently * Where the material is clear and where it breaks * What feels useful vs. what needs to be reworked This is the kind of work that typically happens behind closed doors. **What You'll Do** Working in small groups, you will: * Work through exercises from a draft chapter of the workbook * Apply them to real situations and ideas * Share feedback on what is clear, confusing, or missing * Help identify how the material can be improved You’ll get: * Early access to work that is still being developed * A chance to influence how this material evolves * Practical tools you can immediately apply * A behind-the-scenes look at how skill-building experiences are designed This is a rare opportunity to be part of the process, not just the outcome. **The rules are simple:** Take photographs **Each and Every Day** and post your best **ONE** (1) shot of the day - **EACH DAY** for **April**. If you happen to miss a day or two (life happens), it is **OK** to catch up and upload the photos for the days missed or just skip those days. **Please don't post over 2 to 3 at a time**. This is part of the learning process. **DO NOT POST TO THE ALBUM *UNTIL* AFTER 04/01/2026**. Please use a browser like Chrome and the Meetup.com website to post the images, as **the Meetup app does not handle albums very well**. Towards the top-left of the page is a link to **Add Photos** for uploading your photo to the album. **CONFIRM** **that your photo was Added to the correct Album.** Remember to post your **best photo (JUST ONE)** you took every day on that day! **DO NOT POST PHOTOS FROM ANY OTHER TIME!** If you have time to post an older image, you can take a new image and post it. Be creative. Please **add a caption** to know how far you are in the process. After you upload the image you took that day, find your photo at the end of the album, and edit the caption to state the day and total of days in the month like this:**?/30**. You can add the title of the image if you wish. A good title can make a photo! So, your photo for the **April 1st** caption would be "**1/30: My great photo!**" \*\* Adding a caption helps you keep track of where you are in the month. It does help. The purpose is to have fun and get in the habit of shooting every day. Learn to use your camera. Read your manual and test out a new feature you have never used before. Sometimes picking a theme/project can help focus (pun intended), like flowers, your pet(s), a lens you haven't used in a while, or whatever your passion is. Or try something new... The **end date is 04/30/2026**. Meetup.com does not allow events to be longer than 2 weeks. Other images that were not taken by you will be removed. Please keep the images family-friendly. I have mentioned it before on our Facebook group page, but I have started to run out of ideas for our Meetup gatherings. For the last year, we have discussed AI a lot. We have discussed what the AI options are for WordPress, Prompt theories, Agents and many other AI things. I am afraid I will start repeating myself if we continue the AI and WordPress route. Then I decided that this is a great topic for discussion! Let's discuss what direction the WordPress Knoxville Meetup group should go. April Meetup is "Cookies, WordPress, Tech Support and Directions" We are going to have Happiness Bar and discussion of what topics you would want to discuss and in what direction our group should go. If you have opinions and topics bring them on! What is a Happiness Bar? It is an opportunity to share your WordPress stories, seek WordPress guidance, and bring your volunteer spirit to assist those with WordPress website issues. WordPress crowd support. I will bring cookies, and you just need to bring your WordPress attitude and all your ideas for WordPress Knoxville. If you need assistance with your site, please bring your laptop. It may be necessary to present the issue to the group as a whole. It would be great to see you in person, but you can also join us remotely.

While we continue to pursue a more permanent venue for this Meetup, we’ll be using public library facilities based on availability.
