Before You Build Your App: Make Sure You're Solving the Right Problem
Before You Build Your App: Make Sure You're Solving the Right Problem
👉 🎟️ Get Your Ticket: [https://bit.ly/4dfWQEu](https://bit.ly/4dfWQEu) **Overview** From Idea to Product Series #1: A 2-Hour practical workshop to validate your product idea before building your app or SaaS + Networking ### Event Description Every day new apps, SaaS tools and AI products are being built. Technology has made building products easier than ever. But one challenge remains the same: **Many products are built without solving a real problem.** Founders and builders often start with a solution, a feature, or a technology — and only later discover that the problem isn’t as real or important as they thought. This workshop will help you step back and answer one critical question: **Are you actually solving the right problem?** In this interactive session, you’ll learn a simple framework to evaluate your product idea and ensure it is grounded in a real user need. ### What You’ll Learn This workshop is part of the Product Building Series. Together, the three workshops provide a complete path from idea → product scope → product structure, helping you move from concept to a clear and scalable product. In this workshop we will explore: • Why many product ideas fail before reaching the market • The difference between a **solution idea** and a **real problem** • How to identify the right user and the right situation • A simple framework to validate whether your idea solves something meaningful. You’ll see real examples of how small changes in problem definition can completely change a product. ### What You’ll Leave With Participants will complete a **Problem Definition Canvas** for their own product idea. By the end of the workshop you will have: ✔ A clearer definition of the problem your product solves ✔ A better understanding of who your users actually are ✔ A structured Problem Definition Canvas you can use to refine your idea ✔ A practical framework you can apply to future product ideas. ### Who This Workshop Is For This workshop is ideal for: • founders and startup builders • people working on a new app or SaaS idea • indie hackers and makers • early product teams exploring a new product or feature. No technical background is required. ### Workshop Agenda (120 minutes) **1\. Welcome & Introduction** Why validating the problem is the most important step before building. **2\. Why Many Product Ideas Fail** Common mistakes when starting a digital product. **3\. The Problem Validation Framework** A simple structure to identify real user problems. **4\. Real Product Example** How defining the problem changes the product. **5\. Practical Exercise** Use the Problem Definition Canvas to analyse your own idea. **6\. Discussion & Insights** Common discoveries and lessons from the exercise. **7\. Wrap\-Up & Next Steps** ### What to Bring Bring a product idea, feature idea, or startup concept you are exploring. You will apply the framework directly to your own idea during the workshop. ### Format - Interactive workshop - Small group discussion - Practical exercise After the workshop, participants are invited to continue the conversation during an informal **networking session at Sisi Bar on the top floor, where we can share experiences, discuss product ideas, and enjoy the beautiful views over Barcelona together.** 👉 🎟️ Get Your Ticket: [https://bit.ly/4dfWQEu](https://bit.ly/4dfWQEu)

**🎟 Get your tickets: [https://bit.ly/3PBQC85](https://bit.ly/3PBQC85)** **Overview** Product Building Series #2: A 2-Hr workshop to define the right scope for your product before building too many features + Networking **Description** Many digital products start with a clear idea. But as development begins, something quickly happens: More and more features appear. New ideas are added, requests accumulate, and the product grows in multiple directions. Before long, the product becomes harder to build, harder to understand, and harder for users to adopt. One of the most common challenges for founders and builders is deciding: **What should our product actually include?** In this practical workshop, we will explore how to define the right scope for your product and avoid the trap of building too much too early. You will learn a simple way to identify the core capabilities your product needs and distinguish them from secondary features. **What You’ll Learn** This workshop is part of the Product Building Series. Together, the three workshops provide a complete path from idea → product scope → product structure, helping you move from concept to a clear and scalable product. In this workshop we will explore: • Why many products become overloaded with features • The difference between features and product capabilities • How to identify the core capabilities of your product • How to reduce complexity and focus on what truly matters. 🍺 Agentic Coding Meetup — Devs & Drinks
🍺 Agentic Coding Meetup — Devs & Drinks
No slides. No speaker. No agenda. Just developers talking shop over a cold one. This is an informal gathering for engineers, founders, and builders who are deep in the agentic coding trenches — using tools like Cursor, Windsurf, Claude Code, OpenCode, or rolling their own agent pipelines. Come swap what's actually working, what blew up in production, and what you're excited about right now. We'll be at a bar in Gràcia, Barcelona, and the format is simple: show up, grab a drink, and share what you know. Bring a laptop if you want to show something, but it's not required. **What we talk about (but not limited to):** * Agentic coding workflows and tooling * Prompt engineering & context engineering in practice * Multi-agent architectures and orchestration * AI-native product building * What's broken in the ecosystem and how you're working around it **Who should come:** Developers, technical founders, and AI engineers who build with (or on top of) LLMs. All levels welcome — senior devs with war stories and curious beginners both make the conversation better. **Format:** Open conversation, round-table style. Everyone teaches, everyone learns.
How to Structure Your Product So It Can Grow - A 2-Hour Workshop
How to Structure Your Product So It Can Grow - A 2-Hour Workshop
**🎟 Get Your Ticket: https://bit.ly/pixipap-product-structure** **Overview** From Idea to Product Series #3: A 2-Hour practical workshop to design a clear product structure and avoid future complexity **Description** As digital products grow, something almost always happens: Complexity increases. New features are added, capabilities overlap, and the product becomes harder to understand, maintain, and evolve. Many teams focus on building features but rarely stop to think about how the product should actually be structured. Without a clear structure, even great ideas can turn into products that are difficult to scale. In this practical workshop, we will explore how to design a clear structure for your product so it can grow without becoming unnecessarily complex. You will learn how to think in terms of product capabilities, domains, and structure, rather than isolated features. **What You’ll Learn** This workshop is part of the Product Building Series. Together, the three workshops provide a complete path from idea → product scope → product structure, helping you move from concept to a clear and scalable product. In this workshop we will explore: • Why product complexity appears as products grow • The difference between features and product capabilities • How to organize capabilities into a clear product structure • How good product structure helps teams scale and evolve their products. Through practical examples, you will see how successful digital products are structured around clear capabilities rather than a collection of disconnected features. **What You’ll Leave With** Participants will create a Product Capability Map for their product idea or existing product. By the end of the workshop you will have: ✔ A clearer understanding of your product’s core capabilities ✔ A simple Product Capability Map for your product ✔ A better structure for organizing future features ✔ A practical way to reduce complexity as your product grows. **Who This Workshop Is For** This workshop is ideal for: • founders and startup builders • people building new apps or SaaS products • indie hackers and makers • product teams designing new functionality. No technical background is required. **Workshop Agenda (2 hours)** 1.Welcome & Introduction Why product complexity appears as digital products grow. 2.Why Features Alone Don’t Scale Understanding the limitations of feature-based thinking. 3.Product Capabilities & Structure How successful products organize capabilities and domains. 4.Real Product Example A breakdown of how a real product is structured. 5.Practical Exercise Create a Product Capability Map for your own product. 6.Discussion & Insights Participants refine their product structure. 7.Wrap-Up & Next Steps **What to Bring** Bring a product idea, app idea, or product you are currently building. You will apply the framework directly to your product during the workshop. We kindly ask participants to arrive about 10 minutes earlier, as the workshop will start promptly at 18:30. **Format** - Interactive workshop - Small group discussion - Practical exercise After the workshop, participants are invited to continue the conversation during an informal **networking session** at Sisi Bar on the top floor, where we can share experiences and enjoy the beautiful views of Barcelona together. 🎟 **Get Your Ticket:** https://bit.ly/pixipap-product-structure

Pantuflas. 🔹 **Bikini o bañador** ajustado, bermudas anchas no dejan. Chanclas opcionales y toalla imprescindible. **Agenda :** * 4.45 to 5.00 PM ET: Food and Networking * 5.00 to 5.50 PM ET: "Hands-On : GitHub Copilot SpecKit" Hello Everyone! Please join us for our April 14th edition of the AI-ML MeetUp. **Please note this is an in-person meeting and light refreshments/food will be provided. You will need a government-issued ID to enter the facility.** **Title:** Hands-On : GitHub Copilot SpecKit **Description:** Spec-Driven Development **flips the script** on traditional software development. For decades, code has been king — specifications were just scaffolding we built and discarded once the "real work" of coding began. Spec-Driven Development changes this: **specifications become executable**, directly generating working implementations rather than just guiding them. In this hands-on lab, we will be covering building your application using SpecKit. Pre-requisites: VSCode v1.107, GitHub Copilot, Python 3.13 + uv, Git installed. **Location:** The meeting will be hosted in the Applied Information Sciences ( AIS ) office in Reston, at 11440 Commerce Park Dr # 600 · Reston, VA. The location is also right off the Silver Line metro's Wiehle-Reston Metro Station. **Parking:** Parking is paid and can be validated at the AIS office reception. We will meet in Room Lake Anne. We hope to see you all there!!!!

They bonded over a shared interest of craft beer and home-brewing, which eventually lead to the idea that “We can do this too.” **Additional Info:** We are an inclusive group, so if we missed anyone please let us know or if you want to bring your significant other/spouse please do. We do know there are folks that have changed roles since we last met so please also let us know if we need to add new contact info for people. Have a great week and see you later this month!
