Whether you’re facing anxiety, burnout, grief, or just feeling lost, this is a time for real talk, real people, and real healing.

• Listening without pressure to fix
• Optional prompts to get things flowing
• A calm, welcoming environment
Come as you are. You don’t need to have it all figured out.

Über uns Hello, Berlin! We're Mindful Mingle, a cozy corner in our bustling city dedicated to heartfelt conversations. A place where you're not just another face in the crowd, but a valued member of a caring community. Mindful Mingle welcomes openness and emotional honesty. **\*\*\* READ BEFORE ATTENDING \*\*\* \*\*\* \*\*\* \*\*\* \*\*\* \*\*\* \*\*\* \*\*\* \*\*\* \*\*\* \*\*\* \*\*\* \*\*\*** \#\# 🌿 Mindful Mingle Community Guidelines Creating a space for real conversations, mindful connection, and mutual respect These guidelines are here to help us keep our gatherings safe, supportive, and enriching for everyone. Please read them before attending an event. \#\# 💛 1\. Come as You Are This is a space for real people, not perfect ones. Whether you’re having a great week or a rough day, you’re welcome here. Just be yourself, no masks needed. \#\# 🗣️ 2\. Listen with Empathy When someone shares, listen with your full attention and an open heart. Avoid interrupting or offering unsolicited advice. Sometimes, the most powerful support is simply being present and listening. \#\#\# 🤝 3\. Respect Confidentiality What’s shared in the circle stays in the circle. Trust is the foundation of this group, please don’t repeat or post about anyone’s personal experiences outside of the meetup. \#\#\# 🧘 4\. No Judgment\, No Fixing Everyone’s experience is valid. This isn’t a space for therapy or debate, but for compassionate sharing. Let’s honor each person’s truth without trying to “fix” or analyze it. \#\#\# 🌍 5\. Diversity Is Our Strength We celebrate people of all backgrounds, beliefs, and identities. Discrimination, harassment, or exclusion of any kind will not be tolerated. Bring curiosity and kindness, we learn so much from each other’s perspectives. \#\#\# 🕊️ 6\. Honor the Flow Please arrive on time if you can, and stay as long as feels right. Our events are flexible, but being punctual helps maintain the shared rhythm and presence in the group. \#\#\# 📍 7\. Be Mindful of Space and Time Keep introductions and sharing brief so everyone has a chance to speak. If you’re speaking, take a breath, and make room for others. If you’re quiet, know that your presence still matters deeply. \#\#\# ☕ 8\. Kind Curiosity Over Critique It’s okay to disagree, that’s part of rich conversation. But let’s do so mindfully, with respect and empathy. Ask questions to understand, not to challenge. \#\#\# 🌸 9\. This Is a Shared Space\, Not Therapy Mindful Mingle is about community and connection, not a substitute for therapy or crisis support. If you’re struggling, please know you’re not alone and professional help is always encouraged. We’re here to listen and care, not to diagnose or treat. \#\#\# ✨ 10\. A Final Note Mindful Mingle is a living community, these guidelines grow with us. By showing up with kindness, honesty, and openness, you help create the safe, heartfelt atmosphere that makes this group special. Thank you for being part of it. 🌿

Drawing Cafe [#19] Coffee & Sketching in Berlin
Drawing Cafe [#19] Coffee & Sketching in Berlin
We meet and sketch each other in Berlin. This is just an art gym that we also exercise our social skills. Afterwards usually we go for lunch as a group. **How Does It Work?** This event is simple, we meet and sketch each other doing portraits. Most of the participants use pencils or watercolors. Main aim is to socialize while we draw. There will be plenty of time to talk and get to know each other. We have to mention that this event is suitable for all levels. Many have started to draw in our event actually. **Structure** A. Warmup Phase: We pose to each other for 1 minute. B. Main Phase: We pose to each other for 10 minutes. C. Showcase Phase: We show some of the drawings we did to each other. **Who We Are** Creative Sessions is an art events group located in Berlin. **Is it Free?** The event is free of charge. Iďťżt is advisable to get a drink though. This is a cafe, we need to have at least half of the people on each table with a drink. They accept only cash and most hot drinks cost from 2.50 to 3.50. **How to help or donate?** The event is provided for free but many people help this be a regular thing. We also need people to volunteer and help for minor tasks like the serving of the drinks or cleaning up. Just send us a message. If you want to donate and keep this event from happening, via Paypal to the host (Miltos) : https://ko-fi.com/miltosthings/ **Art Materials?** Bring your own art materials. **Our Instagram Profile** Follow us on instagram @icreativesessions Use the hashtag #icreativesessions on your post description there to find out drawings from the event!
From S Friedrichshagen to U HĂśnow (16 km; fast speed: 5.5 km/h)
From S Friedrichshagen to U HĂśnow (16 km; fast speed: 5.5 km/h)
During this hike, we’ll take a look at what has changed over the winter (in case you joined us on this hike last year on 3 October). As in autumn, we will meet at Friedrichshagen S-Bahn station (on the platform, east exit) and start the event with an ice cream from a famous ice cream place on Bölschestraße. Then we will hike through the Erpetal, across woods and fields, into the outer districts of Berlin (https://www.komoot.com/tour/2936165603). If you don't like ice cream, please arrive at the S-Bahn station Friedrichshagen at 13:30 am instead. We will pick you up at the corner of Fürstenwalder Damm and Dahlwitzer Landstraße. To the north-east of the station, there is an area with benches and a toilet. On Google Maps, the toilet is indicated as 'Berliner Toilette S-Bahn'. We will pick you up at this spot. If you need to contact other participants during the hike (for example, to find out where to meet us if you are running late), please use the Signal group link that I will send to all participants via private message three hours before the hike. This timing is intended to prevent non-participants from misusing the link for unwanted advertising, which has happened in the past. Signal allows us to share our locations during the hike without involuntarily forwarding this information to the intelligence services of authoritarian or non-authoritarian states, but unfortunately the location sharing function does not include tracking, i.e. no continuous updates. For all other purposes, especially socialising and posting photos, please use the Telegram subgroup 'Event Chat & Photos': https://t.me/addlist/KAOk2PA4BDE0ZTY8 . The hike will take place if at least 6 people sign up. As long as there are more than 6 people, you can sign up and cancel as many times as you like. If there are 6 or less people, please avoid cancelling, as this might make the other participants feel insecure about whether the hike will take place (or whether there is something wrong with the hike and they should cancel as well --> Matthew effect - Wikipedia). If there are less than 6 participants, the hike will also take place unless the majority of the participants are in favor of canceling the hike.
Chitta Walks - Awareness in Motion
Chitta Walks - Awareness in Motion
Chitta Walks is for people whose days move fast, while the mind never fully lands. Thoughts keep looping even when nothing is urgent. The body moves, but attention is elsewhere. Over time, this disconnect drains clarity and ease. This walk is a simple reset. We meet in Berlin’s Tiergarten and walk at a gentle pace. Parts of the walk are in silence, with light guidance and a few short prompts. The walk itself is the practice, bringing body and mind back into the same moment. No apps. No performance. Just a clear space to slow down and notice what is happening. If you want to slow down without withdrawing from life, join a Chitta Walk. ✨ **What to expect (approx. 90 minutes):** * A short arrival and orientation * A guided silent walk (phones off, no conversation) * One concise science-based impulse on attention or stress * Optional reflection in pairs or small groups * A simple takeaway or experiment for daily life 🚶**Who this is for:** * Professionals, creatives, and people in transition. * People who feel mentally busy and want more clarity and balance. * Those curious about mindfulness, but grounded and practical. * Anyone comfortable with silence and gentle self observation. 🔔 **Practical notes:** * Duration: 60-90 minutes * Wear comfortable shoes and weather-appropriate clothing * No prior experience needed * Group size is limited to keep the space quiet and focused 🧭 **Facilitator:** My name is Partha Sarathi, you can call me PS. I have lived in Berlin for over 12 years. With a background in physics and materials science, my interest in mindfulness grew through personal experience with stress and health challenges. I facilitate the space and structure of the walk, inviting shared exploration rather than instruction. 🤔 **Why Chitta Walks?** Chitta is a Sanskrit word referring to the mind or field of awareness, used here in a practical, non-religious sense. Chitta Walks is about noticing how the mind works by slowing down and walking together. Mindful walking makes thought patterns visible in real time, while moving and sensing in the world. The name points to a simple capacity: noticing what is happening in the mind without immediately trying to fix, judge, or optimize it. 🌿 **Possible effects:** A calmer nervous system. Clearer attention. A felt sense of being more present in your body. Subtle insights into how your mind reacts under everyday conditions. A quieter, more grounded way of moving through the city. **Come as you are. Walk. Notice. Leave with a little more space inside.**

Of course, if all you want is just some quiet time, your home or a library is perfect. But if you’d like to focus & connect with others in an inspiring space – with drinks, snacks included – that’s what your ticket helps to cover. These gatherings are not just about meditating on your own, but a step inward we take together. Each time we’ll look into a particular topic in the light of timeless wisdom, reflect on it in a guided meditation, do powerful Oneness practices for greater wellbeing, and experience Deeksha - which helps to speed up your inner growth. For more info see: [www.onenessberlin.com](http://www.onenessberlin.com/) **This week's topic: At home with your body** Can we experience beautiful inner states while being in a fight with our body? Building Scalable Customer Identity Resolution Pipelines on AWS Using AI
Building Scalable Customer Identity Resolution Pipelines on AWS Using AI
Customer identity resolution becomes increasingly complex as organizations scale across multiple systems, regions, and data formats. Traditional rule-based approaches often fail to keep up with data variability, require constant manual tuning, and struggle with real-time processing needs. This session presents a practical approach to building a scalable identity resolution pipeline using AWS services and modern AI techniques. The architecture combines data ingestion through Amazon S3 and AWS Glue, transformation pipelines using Spark on EMR, and machine learning models deployed via SageMaker for entity matching and standardization. Graph-based relationship modeling is implemented using Amazon Neptune to improve resolution accuracy by incorporating household and shared attribute context. We will walk through how machine learning models can be used for name and address normalization, how intelligent blocking strategies improve matching efficiency, and how feedback loops can be introduced to continuously improve accuracy. The session also highlights how serverless components such as AWS Lambda can be used for orchestration and real-time processing. **SPEAKER BIO** Mosaic Syed is a Senior Data Engineering and Cloud Solutions Architect with over 20 years of experience designing and delivering scalable, secure, and high-performance data solutions across global enterprise environments. https://www.linkedin.com/in/mosaic-basha-syed-92300856 **CALL FOR SPEAKERS** Learn more: [https://www.awscolumbus.com/get-involved/](https://www.awscolumbus.com/get-involved/) **THANK YOU** *VEEAM* for hosting our meetup! CBusData - Practical AI for Power BI Developers
CBusData - Practical AI for Power BI Developers
Practical AI for Power BI Developers A year ago, “agentic AI” was mostly hype for Power BI teams. Today, it deserves your undivided attention. For Power BI pros, there is now a real opportunity to reduce repetitive development work, accelerate delivery, and help developers do more, but only when strong DataOps practices are in place to make AI workflows effective. This session is a no-nonsense introduction to effective AI patterns for Power BI and Fabric development. Along the way, we will make sense of the growing pile of terminology, including skills, plugins, hooks, and MCP. You will see examples of how modern AI tooling can help with development tasks across Power BI and Fabric, along with the prerequisites, guardrails, and DataOps principles needed to use it responsibly. Whether you're burned out on AI hype or already using Copilot CLI daily, this session will show you the foundations that are finally making AI-assisted development genuinely useful.

Data & Analytics Wednesday - Mapping and Dashboards
**Total Eclipse of the Chart: School Redistricting Dashboards** In this presentation, we will explore the utilization of maps, sets, and SQL within a Tableau dashboard to help provide “what-if” analyses generated through the use of a mapped dashboard, providing different scenarios and the potential implications of these. While in this use case we are focused on a large school district, the concepts of utilizing existing data to explore the future impacts of modifying different geographic boundaries can be useful to many industries, balancing the mix of maps with visual analytics. **About Our Speaker** Robert Kramer is the Data Systems and State Reporting Coordinator at South Western City Schools in Grove City.
