A most beautiful 7 to 8 mile walk in the Surrey countryside and woodlands ! Using our Oyster Cards we shall take the train at 10.10am that arrives at Chipstead at 10.55am. Or you may decide to drive. Meetup fee ยฃ5 payable in cash or by bank transfer in advance. You should be able to walk 2.5 miles per hour and have adequate and appropriate insurance for this type of activity. #### Join us for a serene and scenic 6-7m walk starting from Tottenham Hale at 12:30 PM, This is a flat walk (no hills), we will visit Walthamstow Wetlands Nature Park: https://www.wildlondon.org.uk/nature-reserves/walthamstow-wetlands . A wonderful blend of riverside trails, peaceful greenery, and opportunities to connect with nature. Lets take it easy and go with the flow. We will be passing close to many train stations if you want to do a shorter walk. \*\*\* \#\#\#\# Key Details Meeting Point: * Meet directly at Totthenam Hale (TFL zone 4) by 12:30 PM to start the walk. Today we walk through the contrasting scenery of Crystal Palace Park, Biggin Woods, Norwood Grove and Norbury Park **WALK START:Crystal Palace Park Railway Station** (National Rail - Travel Zone 3/4) WALK ROUTE: From Crystal Palace Park Railway Station we walk across Crystal Palace Park and then enter Westow Park, Upper Norwood Recreation Ground, Biggin Woods, Norwood Grove and Norbury Park. In these walks we cross busy roads, use towpaths alongside water, bridlepaths, country lanes and sometimes ill defined paths and tracks through woodland, bush and countryside. Some tracks may be muddy and slippery, and conditions may be wet and icy. **ISLINGTON EDGES.**............Brand new for 2025 On this tour we touch various parts of London from Islington to Camden, from Kings Cross to Bloomsbury from Clerkenwell to Angel. But central to it all is Islington so why not call it Islington edges ! London at its best with a complete mixture of subjects, from the death of a clown to a man made river, from a South African hero to Bob Dylan As usual there are blue plaques in abundance and a personal story that takes me back to my very early youth. Its a circular walk from Kings cross and back again taking over two hours but in that time we meet lots of the sort of characters and visit various places that helped make London the city we all love.

STEPHEN's DAY walk with fabulous panoramic views from Primrose Hill and taking in Abbey Road (Beatles),and a section of Regents Canal with its very impressive Mansions. PARKS, MEADOWS, CANAL, LAKES, ICONIC ABBEY ROAD CROSSING, plus SOCIALISING with CHEAP FOOD and DRINKS in a convivial pub atmosphere. Enjoy London! Get out and see your City in the company of great friends! Join us for an afternoon stroll (followed by socialising in the pub). Walking is one of life's great social activities. WALK START POINT: Swiss Cottage Tube Station (Jubilee Line). When you get to Swiss Cottage, take exit 2 from the underground station for Eton Ave and Hampstead Theatre. WALK ROUTE: SWISS COTTAGE to BAKER STREET via Abbey Road, Primrose Hill and Regents Canal. WALK DISTANCE: Approx 4 miles. WALK END POINT: Paddington Station (Bakerloo, Circle Hammersmith & City, Elizabeth Lines, and Mainline.) STOP OUT POINT: Our route goes close to several London bus routes RISKS for all walks: Please dress appropriately for weather conditions and carry a bottle of water and necessary medication. You need to be moderately fit for this walk and be able to walk for four miles without a break. In these walks we use; pavements, cross busy roads, public parkland, towpaths alongside water, other public paths, rights of way, bridlepaths, country lanes and other established paths and tracks through woodland, bush and countryside. Please only wear good sturdy shoes, preferably walking boots and take care as surfaces may be uneven, tree roots may protrude, there may be low overhanging branches and some paths are also used by joggers and cyclists and sometimes cars (country lanes). Some tracks may be muddy and slippery. On occasion wild,domestic and farm animals may also encountered. If you require insurance for these walks then you must arrange this yourself. No large dogs or small children please. Please arrive in good time to allow opportunity to use toilets at the start of the walk as there may not be any toilet breaks available during the walk.
