VIRTUAL INVESTMENT CLUB
VIRTUAL INVESTMENT CLUB
Some of the Beckenham & Bromley MYN group participate in a monthly Investment Club where we each contribute a virtual £25 to invest in UK equities. The meetings are normally held on the second Thursday of the month. The Investment Club has been running for just under 25 years, but we always welcome new or potential members. Prospective members are given up to three months to decide whether to join as active members. The choice of which virtual shares to buy, or to sell, is decided by those particpating in the meeting in a majority decision.. The meeting gives everyone a chance to discuss the stock market, the economy or anything else which members have noted could effect the share prices. Contact Roland in advance, preferably by e-mail on the day before, so that he can send you a link to click on at the start of the meeting.

🎬 Movie Night - Send Help – What Would You Actually Do?
"Help isn’t coming. And even if it does… you might not want it." – Survival isn’t just about staying alive — it’s about keeping your mind when everything else goes feral. 📅 **Date:** Wednesday, 12 February 2026 🕕 **Show Time:** 19:10 🧭 **Meeting Time:** 18:00 outside Cineworld Crawley to get a drink or dinner or 18:50 📍 **Cinema Address:** Unit 1, Crawley Leisure Park, Crawley, RH10 8LR (15 mins walk from Crawley Station) 🎬 **Screening Type:** 2D 🪑 **Screen:** 2 🎟 **My Seat:** R15 *** ### 🎬 About the Film: **SEND HELP** comes from **Sam Raimi — the legendary director of *Evil Dead* and *Drag Me to Hell***. That means one thing: beautifully controlled chaos. What begins like an ordinary situation mutates into a survival nightmare where panic, personality, and bad decisions collide. Raimi doesn’t just scare you — he makes you laugh at the exact moment you shouldn’t. Beneath the madness, the film teases some great questions: • Who are we when modern comfort disappears? • Are we capable in a crisis – or just people with low phone batteries? • When pressure hits, do we trust, betray, or turn everything into content? • And why, in true Raimi style, is disaster sometimes uncomfortably hilarious? Expect tension, dark humour, and that signature Raimi energy where horror and comedy wrestle for control. *** ### 🧭 Meeting Point: Let’s meet at **18:00 or 18:50 outside Cineworld Crawley** — quick hellos, snacks if needed, then we head in together before things get messy on screen. 🪑 I’m in **Seat R15, Screen 2** — feel free to book next to me 😀. *** ### 🎟 Booking Info: Book via Cineworld Crawley: https://www.cineworld.co.uk/films/send-help *** ### 💬 After the Movie: Optional drink nearby to unpack the madness: – Are we really as capable as we imagine, or just well-charged spectators of our own lives? – Does crisis reveal character — or create it? Relaxed chat, mixed views welcome, no deep film knowledge needed. 📱 Need to reach me? WhatsApp: 07830374629 *** Because some films don’t just entertain — they test you. Let’s press **Send Help** together.

Have you ever wanted to explore and savour as many food places within an event? If so, this may be the right one for you. Welcome to the BAKERY Crawl where you have the opportunity to explore and savour the food from some of the places we may visit.
With this particular event, we will be exploring an array of bakeries that revolves around Europe. We will also be savouring what they may deliver. Based on research and experience, the places we are to visit have some unique delicacies which has brought joy to the world. Here are the Bakeries we’ll be visiting: * Arome Bakery (French) * Bagariet (Swedish) * Ole and Steen (Danish) So the plan is extremely simple. Sunday Board Games at Land-Grant Brewing
Sunday Board Games at Land-Grant Brewing
We'll play board games at the [Land-Grant Brewing Company](https://landgrantbrewing.com/). They have multiple [food trucks](https://landgrantbrewing.com/food/) on Sundays. Ray Ray's also has coffee, and the brewery has free water (and Jeni's ice cream). You can come late or leave early. Please just sign up so I know to expect you. **Notes on Parking** * You'll (probably) have to park on the street, but street parking is free on Sundays. * There are [parking garages](https://landgrantbrewing.com/parking/) a little farther away if you want. These are obviously not free, though. * There is a [lot next door](https://www.google.com/maps/place/39%C2%B057'26.0%22N+83%C2%B000'40.9%22W/@39.957211,-83.0119921,19z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m12!1m7!3m6!1s0x88388f3efd89238b:0xc139207386232411!2sLand-Grant+Brewing+Company!8m2!3d39.9577613!4d-83.011426!16s%2Fg%2F1pzt7t9df!3m3!8m2!3d39.957211!4d-83.011347?entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI2MDEyMS4wIKXMDSoKLDEwMDc5MjA3MUgBUAM%3D) to the brewery that you're allowed to park in, but it is not free. I've never parked there, so I don't know anything about rates. (I'm told though that if you eat at Milo's Deli next door to this lot that Milo's will stamp your parking so it's free.) * You're going to see odd signs on [Lucas St](https://www.google.com/maps/place/39%C2%B057'26.1%22N+83%C2%B000'40.3%22W/@39.957256,-83.0124134,19z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m10!1m5!3m4!2zMznCsDU3JzI4LjgiTiA4M8KwMDAnNDEuNSJX!8m2!3d39.957993!4d-83.011536!3m3!8m2!3d39.957256!4d-83.011197?entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI2MDEyMS4wIKXMDSoKLDEwMDc5MjA3MUgBUAM%3D) (saying it's a "private street") that will lead you to believe you're not allowed to park there, but you actually are. * Columbus parking cops literally do not work on Sundays. This means that, even if you're driving a non-EV, you can park in the EV spots near the brewery. **Games** I do bring many games, but please bring some of your own as well.
