The trail begins a short distance from the Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial, making its way across the Ohio Drive Bridge and heading into East Potomac Park. The tidal basin is beautifully reflective, and the monuments around the whole trail keep it interesting. Parking is available near the trailhead, and additional facilities, including restrooms and drinking fountains, can be found along the trail. The sidewalks along the water are prone to damage and there is often uneven footing.

Our regular Sunday meetup at the Shirlington Dog Park -- members start arriving around 10:15 a.m. You'll always find an Aussie to play with. There are 3 entrances, so wander the park -- the dogs will find each other! For puppies, Shirlington has a small dog park within the larger dog park. It's the prefect place for your puppy to gain confidence and socialize with others. There is also plenty of room to run. Just a reminder, the Dog Park is under attack by the Arlington County Board of Commissioners. While early plans to decrease the size of the park by 50% has been tabled, it's important to remind Arlington County how important this park is to dogs and owners. He’ll explore the undeniable and unsettling intersection of romance and horror and examine how and why love and fear intensify each other and combined to create tension, drive narratives, and explore human vulnerability. We’ll look at works that have blended passion and terror, including Gothic literature like the vampire novella *Carmilla* and modern films like *Spring* and *Crimson Peak*. Beautiful because music. Classic vinyl album covers line the walls, with a vibe to match. They roast their own beans, which they supply to other local cafes. If I remember correctly, they don’t serve breakfast sandwiches, but get a fresh,warmed pastry and you’ll be happy.

It’s a mostly flat, multi-use path that follows the Potomac River and Boundary Channel through Lady Bird Johnson Park on Columbia Island. The trail passes the Navy Merchant Marine Memorial and Columbia Island Marina, offering beautiful views of Washington, DC.

You will hike along Bull Run before heading back up towards the trailhead. There are plenty of spots for kids to explore the river.

This is an enjoyable hike with the Lake, lots of graceful full growth trees and the fun of winding through multiple trails in this relatively compact Park. The Hike route is about 7 miles with 460 feet of elevation. The Hike route is a loop consisting primarily of dirt trails. We will start at the Bike Lane Brewing &Café, at 11150 Sunset Hills, Reston VA 20190. This is an 7.5-mile hike with 600 feet of elevation gain through the woodlands of Reston and Oakton. On the hike we'll pass horse paddocks and may even see a group of curious goats. For those of you who like numbers the reservoir is 350 acres and holds between 1.3 and 1.5 billion gallons of water. We will meet in front of the Visitors Center at 8:45. The Visitor Center, with the trailhead, is new and the GPS mapping apps are still updating. **The Reservoir Park Main entrance is located within the Brambleton Community Park West Baseball field complex, accessed from Belmont Ridge Road in Ashburn.** The address is 22211 Water Vista Drive Ashburn, Virginia.
