St. James’s Walk – Hidden Courtyards, Royal Residences & Rock Legends
St. James’s Walk – Hidden Courtyards, Royal Residences & Rock Legends
Join us for a fascinating walk through **St. James’s**, one of London’s most historic and intriguing districts. This elegant area is full of hidden stories, secretive clubs, historic shops, and royal connections. We’ll explore quiet courtyards, hidden passages, and even the **smallest square in London**, while discovering the long traditions of the neighbourhood. St. James’s is home to some of the city’s oldest specialist shops, including the famous hatters **Lock & Co. Hatters**, founded around 1675. Music lovers will enjoy visiting the location of the legendary **Scotch of St James**, the exclusive club once frequented by icons such as The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix and more recently Harry Styles. Nearby is the yard where John Lennon first met Yoko Ono at a gallery exhibition — a famous moment in music and art history. St. James’s is also deeply connected to Britain’s royal and political life. Along the way we will see historic royal residences such as **St James's Palace**, **Spencer House**, and **Clarence House**. We’ll also pass significant institutions including **Chatham House**, Norfolk House which was the base of Dwight D. Eisenhower during the Second World War, as well as the site of the former German Embassy where Joachim von Ribbentrop worked before becoming Hitler’s Foreign Minister. Other highlights include **The London Library**, **Mark Masons' Hall**, and the world-famous auction house **Christie's**. **Walk details** Distance: approximately **3–5 km** After the walk, we’ll finish with a visit to a pub where we continue the conversation.

Rabble - Fitness Through Games!
Rabble - Fitness Through Games!
A Rabble session is 1 hour of fun and social team games. Each game disguises high-intensity intervals within the rules, giving you an effective, all-body workout without even realising it. We play a bunch of different games at each session (like British Bulldog, Capture the Flag, Dodgeball, Frisbee and many more), and every class is different. Sessions are open to all, no matter your sporting ability. Each game is explained before we start, so there's no need to have played any of the games before. Come solo or bring friends! And stay at the end for the social part! Who knew getting fit could be this fun? **TO BOOK**: It's essential that you book onto sessions via our website, using the link below; due to restrictions on games and preparation times we cannot accept walk-ins, or late arrivals. WOTW Sunrise Playback & Meetup
WOTW Sunrise Playback & Meetup
After seeing gorgeous scenes of fans enjoying their first listen to *The Weight of the Woods* in LA, Red Rocks and Dublin, I am desperate to create a similar experience! This Friday, 3 April, TWOTW is finally ours, and I am going to resist the temptation to listen at midnight in order to listen to it on a sunrise walk through one of London’s most beautiful landscapes, Hampstead Heath. This is not an official Team DK Meetup, but instead something for like-minded fans who are interested in wandering around on their own for a first listen, and then meeting up (at the top of Parliament Hill) at the conclusion of the album. Afterwards, we’ll head for a coffee in Hampstead and chat about the album. Grab your AirPods, sneakers, and maybe your dog, and join us!

FULL MOON WALK! FREE WALK, DOGS WELCOME - Beautiful Night Wonder of Hyde Park
FULL MOON WALK! FREE WALK, DOGS WELCOME - Beautiful Night Wonder of Hyde Park
FULL MOON WALK! FREE WALK, DOGS WELCOME - Beautiful Night Wonder of Hyde Park, day before BANK holiday Good Friday so PUB drinks after! Walk Info below the Moon info.. While we are on our Moon Walk, NASA's astronauts will be getting ready to orbit the moon for the first time in over 50 years since 1972! They leave our Planet Earth the day before our walk on 1st April and the Spaceflight is making History! It will be the first time a black astronaut (Mr Glover) and a woman (Ms Koch) are on a lunar mission and will orbit the moon. The first time ever folks, since humanity began! They are on a mission to see if humans can sustain life on the moon! So, in celebrating this wonderful event, we are hosting a free Moonwalk, not Michael Jackson but for this historical event! I was very lucky to personally meet Buzz Aldrin (Buzz Lightyear from Toy Story is named after him), and Buzz was on the same Apollo 11 spacecraft as Neil Armstrong, the first humans to walk on the Moon or any Planet in July 1969. Artemis II (1st April departure serves as the critical bridge to **Artemis IV** (currently planned for 2028), which is intended to be the first mission to land humans on the lunar surface since 1972. Please join us for a wonderful Full Moon 3 mile linear free night walk through Green Park, Bomber Command, Wellington Arch, Hyde Park, the Serpentine, Diana Memorial Fountain, ending at Hyde Park Underground Station! Please note this walk has not been tested before, something never tried so can not guarantee the moon! (weather permitting) and route should be fine as I walk through Hyde Park at midnight at Christmas 2025 and all was open, but we will find a way, whatever happens! BEER AND WINE AFTER SOCIAL DAY BEFORE BANK HOLIDAY MONDAY! Will be having drinks after at 3 or 4 historic pubs, dogs allowed in bar area only. There will be no seating as very busy pubs, maybe standing room only with no chance to seat eat, but plenty of drink and peanuts, ha! Hyde Park Grade I listed, it is the largest of the Royal Parks. The park was established by Henry VIII in 1536 when he took the land from Westminster Abbey and used it as a hunting ground. It opened to the public in 1637 and quickly became popular, particularly for May Day parades. The park's name comes from the Manor of Hyde and appears as such in the Domesday Book. The name is believed to be of Saxon origin and means a unit of land, the hide. Hyde Park was a popular duelling spot during the 18th century, with 172 taking place, leading to 63 fatalities. The Serpentine a 40-acre created in 1730 at the behest of Queen Caroline. Originally fed by the River Westbourne and Tyburn Brook in the 1730s, the lake's water was then pumped from the Thames in the 1830s. Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fountain The design aims to reflect Diana's life, water flows as it cascades, swirls and bubbles before meeting in a calm pool at the bottom. The water is constantly being refreshed and is drawn from London's water table. The Memorial also symbolises Diana's quality and openness. Please meet outside the front of Green Park Station on the main road. The meeting area outside the station is directly next to Ritz Restaurant. When you arrive at Green Park underground station, please look for the Piccadilly (South Side) exit. The walk ends at Hyde Park Station if walk only and Victoria Station if doing all the 4 pubs! ABOUT OUR SECRET LONDON WALKS It is a 15-year fascinating journey together to explore the whole of beautiful, enchanting Secret London. In these walks we cross busy roads, use towpaths alongside water, bridlepaths, country lanes and sometimes ill defined paths and tracks through woodland, bush and countryside. Some tracks may be muddy and slippery, and conditions may be wet and icy. The walk leader is not and does not purport to be a professional guide, or a medical professional, but is instead a like minded individual who also enjoys hill walking and who is familiar with the intended route. Do not attend this walk unless you accept and consent to the above risks. If you require insurance for these walks then you must arrange this yourself. **Please note that this is a joint event with Ken's Events.** **DISCLAIMER** All Ken's Events and events on this group are subject to the same disclaimer. Walk & Talk About Life's Big Questions
Walk & Talk About Life's Big Questions
[The Board Walks](http://www.theboardwalks.com/) are for curious people who love deep conversations. If that sounds like you, **bring a thoughtful topic** and join us for a 5-mile walk (10,000+ steps!). **HOW IT WORKS** **Step 1: Bring a topic** Before you arrive, think of **one** topic you want to explore. A question. A thought that's been on your mind. An obsession you want to geek out on. This is your ticket to the event. **Step 2: Circle up & share** We gather in a circle. Your friendly walk host gives a speech to set the tone. Everyone shares: your name, what you're grateful for, and your topic. That's it. 60 seconds. **Step 3: Walk, talk & float** We walk 5 miles. You naturally drift into conversation with 2-3 people at a time, pulled by topics that spark your curiosity. When you're ready to move on, just say: "I'm going to float!" **Step 4: Feel more alive** Two hours flies by. You're back where you started — but you feel different. More alive. More energized. More connected to yourself and others. That's why regulars join 20+ times. *For more details, read our [Orientation Guide.](https://www.theboardwalks.com/orientation)* **HOW TO BRING A GREAT TOPIC** A great topic = something you're genuinely curious about. Recent topics include: * "What are you passionate about right now?" * "What makes a good friend?" * "What's a belief you used to hold that you've completely changed?" * "How do you want to be remembered?" * "What would you do if money wasn't a factor?" Think of your topic like the dish you're bringing to our conversational potluck. If everyone brings an A+ dish (i.e. energizing, uplifting, expansive), we'll all walk away feeling lighter and brighter. **WHAT TO EXPECT** This isn't a fitness event with casual chitchat. It's a walking think tank where we explore life's big questions together, beyond small talk. *If you're looking for light banter or a standard networking event, this probably isn't the right fit.* But if you crave depth, genuine connection, and conversations that make you feel alive? You'll love it here. **FAQ** * Wear casual athletic attire and sneakers. It's a long walk! * We have multiple first-timers at each event. We work hard to create a welcoming, inclusive, clique-free space. * We welcome people of **all** ages, backgrounds, and industries who align with the [intention](https://www.theboardwalks.com/ground-rules) of this space. * Rain or shine, we've been out here nearly every week since July 2022. If the event is cancelled, we'll let you know. * Dogs, babies in strollers, parents, and friends are welcome — please text/email them the event link so they can RSVP and prepare a topic! **LOGISTICS** * If you'll arrive over 10 minutes late, we suggest skipping the event. It's hard to find us once we start walking, and your host can't answer messages during the event. * This walk is designed for everyone to *move together at the same steady pace* (about 20 min/mile). This format works best when the whole group moves in unison. If you have mobility limitations, we kindly encourage you to find an event better suited to your needs. * Read our [Orientation Guide](https://www.theboardwalks.com/orientation) for full details. * If you enjoy the event, send **[this](http://www.theboardwalks.com/)** to a friend or sign up for our **[newsletter](https://theboardwalks.beehiiv.com/)**. We're in multiple cities with more on the way. 🤠👋 **IF YOU WANT TO GO DEEPER...** [The Board](https://stan.store/ellebeecher/p/the-board) is the next step: a high-trust collective for renaissance people devoted to creating, connecting, and building lives that light us up. * This is a global HQ for people who crave big talk, deep connection, and dream collaborations with people across industries. If the walks feel like a spark... The Board is the fire. Apply [here](https://stan.store/ellebeecher/p/the-board).
