KIDS Manga Drawing Class
Drawing manga often seems complicated and intimidating at first glance. The expressive eyes, distinctive features, and dynamic characters lead many to believe that years of experience are required. But this manga drawing workshop addresses precisely that: drawing manga is **much easier than you think** when you learn the right basics and are guided step by step.
In my manga drawing workshops, children and teenagers learn the most important manga drawing techniques in a playful and easy-to-understand way. The course is structured so that it is easy to understand even without prior knowledge and provides a sense of accomplishment from the very beginning. The goal is to help participants overcome their fear of drawing and to foster their creativity.
Process:
1. Fundamental warm-up and sketch exercises (10-15 min)
2. Basics: Manga Face (30 min)
3. Drawing a manga character together (45-60 min)
All necessary **materials are included in the course** , so you don't need to bring anything. Drawing paper, pencils, and other materials are available on site.
**Who is it for?**
This manga drawing course is specifically designed for **beginners aged 7 to 17.** It's suitable for anyone who likes manga, enjoys drawing, or simply wants to try something new. Patience, a love of drawing, and curiosity are the only requirements. At the end of the workshop, participants will not only take home their drawings but also new skills and greater confidence in their creative expression.
Die Decke - We're sewing a dementia blanket that no one will forget.

**A dementia blanket is** a tool used in dementia care consisting of different pieces joined together (patchwork).
**At the event**, you can sew your own patchwork pieces or help with production. Whether you are a professional or have no experience with sewing, we will show you how it's done.

Ink & Drink: words for loved ones 🫂 👯🧑🧑🧒🧒
✒️Ink & Drink is a creative writing evening in English, designed as a relaxed and social gathering around words, ideas, and a shared drink — in a warm, book-filled setting.
🫶With Valentine’s Day approaching, this special edition will explore love in its universal sense: romantic love, friendship, family, self-love, gratitude, or affection for someone who matters to you.
📚We’ll begin the evening with a short shared reading of a few carefully selected letter excerpts in English, meant simply as inspiration.
✍️This will be followed by a playful warm-up exercise to gently ease into writing — no pressure, no performance.
❤️The main part of the evening will be dedicated to writing a message or a letter to someone you care about.
You’ll be free to write something personal, poetic, simple, or symbolic — entirely at your own pace.
✂️A selection of creative materials will be available during the session (colored papers, different formats, pens, stickers, etc.), as well as the option to try simple paper folding to turn your text into a small crafted object or letter.
This is not a class and no prior writing experience is needed.
The focus is on creating a welcoming space where writing can happen naturally, supported by gentle prompts and shared inspiration.
☕️Participation is free — please support the venue by ordering at least one drink.
Whether you come to write, to reconnect with words, or simply to spend a creative evening before Valentine’s Day, you’re very welcome.
Looking forward to writing together! ✍️✨

Enjoy:
* Stress, anxiety and tension relief
* Deep relaxation
* Better sleep

* Meaningful connections with others in the circle
We share nourishing and healing yoga and breath practices with Yoga Nidra infused with Tibetan singing bowls to help you reduce the hold of stress, anxiety and tension. Rest deeply and come back to calm, balance and inner freedom. We journey together into deep rest and make space for more calm, peace and love in our hearts and in our lives. Each circle includes:
**Nourishing gentle Yoga**
****
Gentle and transformative yoga practices to liberate the flow of energy and connect back to our source of vitality, blood wisdom and intuition.
**Yoga Nidra**
****
Yoga Nidra is the antidote to the stress of life in today’s world. It is a zero effort practice of surrendering to all that is. Generally practiced lying down, yoga nidra brings you to a state of deep relaxation, allowing body and mind to restore. Yoga Nidra helps to disengage from thoughts and emotions and release anxiety and anger. It can also improve sleep, release tension and reverse symptoms of trauma and exhaustion.
****
**Sound Healing**
****
Sound healing is a gentle and powerful way to reach places in the body that are otherwise impossible to get to. Tibetan singing bowls bring immediate relaxation to body and mind, helping to disengage from thoughts and come into the present moment. Sound healing can help release tension and reduce the hold of stress, pain, fatigue, fear and other difficult emotions. Singing bowl vibrations help to bring us to an optimal state for self- healing.
Everything is provided, just bring comfortable clothes. Suggested contribution is 30.= If cost is a barrier welcome to contribute as you can.
Please WhatsApp or text me to join on 0782465091 as I don't use Meetup much, participants book via Whatsapp.

Was fehlt, ist selten Gesprächsstoff.
Was fehlt, sind Tiefe, Spannung und echte Verbindung.
*Kostenloser Mini-Workshop*
**Von unverbindlichem Small Talk zu authentischer Anziehung**
📍 **Ort:** Debattierhaus Karl der Grosse, Kirchgasse 14, 8001 Zürich
📅 **Datum:** Samstag, 14. Februar 2026 (nachmittags)
👥 **Teilnehmerzahl:** max. 30 Personen

Grief Circle — Remembering Love, From Darkness to Light
**A sacred space to honor sorrow, release pain, and remember love**
At Yanantin Tribe, we open grief circles where heart, body, and spirit can meet. Inspired by ancestral traditions, we gather in community to carry what was never meant to be held alone. Here, darkness and light are both welcome — grief is not fixed or rushed, but witnessed with care.
A grief ritual is a communal gathering where sorrow is given space and form. We welcome all expressions of grief: personal loss, heartbreak, ancestral wounds, collective pain, or a quiet heaviness without a clear name. Through music, song, rhythm, movement, silence, and guided ritual, grief softens and reveals the love beneath it.
**Bring: comfortable clothes, water bottle and your own cup for tea, curiosity**
This is a free community offering. If you feel called to support the continuation of these grief circles, you can choose the **Support Ticket — CHF 25** via Eventfrog. Thank you for supporting this work.
**The experience**
* Enter a safe, held circle where all emotions are welcome
* You may share, move, cry, sing, or remain silent — no pressure to speak
* Place a personal item, photo, or symbol on a shared altar (optional)
* Move through ritual practices that allow grief to be witnessed and released
* Close with grounding and gentle integration so you leave supported
**Why this circle matters**
* Release unspoken or long-held grief
* Be held without advice or fixing
* Honor both sorrow and love
* Heal personal, ancestral, and collective layers
Tickets & Support
This grief circle is offered freely as a community space.
If you wish to support the continuation of these circles, you can choose the Support Ticket — CHF 25 via Eventfrog.

**Personal Support & 1:1 Work with András**

Valentine's Weekend: WUTHERING HEIGHTS at the Drexel Theatre!
Join us as we get together to see the steamy-romance-period-drama, WUTHERING HEIGHTS. Director Emerald Fennell gives us her take on the romance between Heathcliff and Catherine Earnshaw from the classic Emily Bronte novel. Here’s a description, trailer and plan for this event:
DESCRIPTION: The film tells a passionate and tumultuous love story set against the backdrop of the Yorkshire moors, exploring the intense and destructive relationship between Heathcliff and Catherine Earnshaw. The film is directed by Emerald Fennell (Promising Young Woman, Saltburn) and is loosely based on the classic novel by Emily Bronte. It stars Margot Robbie, Jacob Elordi, Alison Oliver, Owen Cooper and Hong Chau!
TRAILER: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3fLCdIYShEQ
BUZZ & REVIEWS: The film is earning a solid 70% positive rating on Rotten Tomatoes, where critics say, “The Oscar-winning British filmmaker crafts a sumptuous bad romance that’s quite haughty, darkly hilarious and ultimately heartfelt.” Others call it a “sexy, exhilarating and visually stunning adaptation of the classic novel by Emily Brontë.” We’ll see for ourselves on Friday!
PLAN: Purchase your ticket for the 7:00pm showing and meet inside the theater lobby between 6:30 and 6:45pm! Advance ticket purchase not required for this theater but early arrival is advised! Be sure to mention you’re with the Movie Group for admission and concession discounts! Immediately following the movie, don’t miss the best part of the night – food and drinks at the nearby Rusty Bucket! For those new to the theater, parking is available in the lot near Brassica, which will put you conveniently right between the theater and restaurant!
Look forward to seeing you there, Dan
Shut Up & Write!® East Side Columbus

Be it a book, blog, script, essay, dissertation, resume, melody, poem or just plain work stuff, you are invited to write it with us. No one will see what you've written or give you unsolicited advice. Instead of just thinking about writing, come and get some real writing done.
**SCHEDULE:**
6:45ish - Quick introductions
7:00 - Timer starts: write for 1 hour
8:00 - The End
**OPTIONAL SOCIALIZING** happens before and after the writing hour. Writing is very solitary. Connecting (and sometimes even commiserating) with other writers is a cool thing.

Speak Easy (Storytelling)
The topic for February is "Transitions"
Speak Easy: true stories, told live.
The idea is simple: an audience, an open microphone, and great stories. Hilarious, gripping, poignant- it's up to you. Audiences are invited to come to listen or come to tell as folks from all corners of Columbus offer their stories live on stage! Held at Wild Goose Creative's warm, intimate space, this night of tales occurs on the 3rd Thursday of every month. Doors open at 6:30 pm, show starts at 7:00 pm. Please arrive early if you want to tell, as we generally only have room for a limited number of tellers, and the sign-up sheet has a tendency to fill up fast.
Formed around the idea that people need stories--they're what hold and draw us together--SpeakEasy celebrates the strangeness and commonness of being human. And in a world of smartphones, Facebook, Twitter, and more . . . it gives people a real, breathing, in-person way to connect.
The night is geared for true stories of all kinds, taking the best tales told around kitchen tables, in darkened pubs, on the street corner, and at late-night parties and giving them an audience. Speak Easy is also a great outlet for performers, writers, and artists looking to share their favorite stories and perfect their skills. We strongly encourage tellers to please tell the story rather than read it so we keep within the spirit of good storytelling and stay engaged with the audience. All are welcome. Hang around after the show for a drink and build community!
