This year after several requests, 4bid starts a new series of life drawing weekend intensives! This four-lesson weekend course covers all you need to know (or need a nudge to remember to put into practice) when it comes to model drawing. Over the 4 sessions (Friday to Monday, each 3h) you'll delve much deeper into the subject matter than in our regular 1,5h weekly appointments. Under the tutor's guidance, you will cover composition, anatomy, and shading. In each lesson, you'll work with the same live model, to master the understanding of their shapes. You will be invited to immediately develop and own a personal style, focusing on chiaro-scuro and line work, and applying bold gesture onto the paper. On the last evening you'll further one drawing, finishing it by applying all the learned tools. To get the most out of this course, it can be helpful to have taken part to a drop-in session at 4bid gallery on either Tuesdays or Sundays (see the regular meetups). It is however not required to have prior experience. The suggested price is €180 pp \| 4 lessons of 3 hours \| 8 participants max \| Includes materials\, coffee\, tea\, and snacks\. We’re heading into the heart of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug for a beautiful loop hike starting and ending at station Driebergen Zeist. From the station we quickly enter the wide open heather fields of Groote Heidestein, with heather fields, sandy paths, and a wonderfull spacious feeling. We follow these open landscapes all the way to the forests surrounding the Pyramid of Austerlitz. After about 10 kilometers we take a well deserved break at the pyramid. You can grab a snack or drink there, or enjoy your own packed lunch. This is the area where the famous wolf Bram once roamed and made the news. The situation has since settled, so the coast is clear again, but it adds a touch of wild history to the landscape. From here we loop back towards Driebergen Zeist through landgoed Heidestein. This section is full of surprises, including narrow passages and small tunnels that make the walk feel playful and slightly adventurous.
