We hold two pub evenings a month on the first and third Wednesdays, with all the other Wednesdays being virtual pub evenings. We also normally have a monthly quiz on the last Wednesday of the month, during the virtual pub evening, at about 9pm, where a different member of our group prepares the questions to be used each month. This means that tonight is a standard virtual pub evening. Contact Roland in advance, preferably by e-mail, so that he can send you a link to click on at the start of the meeting. **Back by popular demand, on Wednesday 22nd April - we’re hugely excited to be hosting our latest Drink & Do Crafts Night!** Yep, after a bit of a wait - we’ll once again be getting our creative juices flowing and heading to Knightsbridge for an evening of crafts and social drinks, exclusively for 20s and 30s. The theme of the night will be **"Around the World"**, and over the course of the evening, you’ll have the chance to try both painting and pottery. As part of this, we’ll provide paints, brushes, and equipment to help you create your own travel-inspired masterpiece - whether it’s a tropical beach at sunset, a dreamy city skyline, a famous world landmark or a place you’ve been dying to visit. But that's not all, as you’ll also have the chance to try your hand at pottery with air-dry clay. If you've not used it before, air-dry clay is great for trying out sculpting bowls, figurines, or ornaments and unlike normal clay - it doesn't require firing in a kiln and so you can take it home with you. And once the crafting is done and your creations are complete, we’ll clear the tables so you can unwind, grab another drink, and get to know your fellow artists. Wine Not? is a women-only gathering before the Balancers Saturday social. Most attendees come solo, so it’s an easy and welcoming place to meet people and settle in before the night gets busier. We have never until now featured Zinfandel, the ubiquitous California grape with the Dublin Wine MeetUp Group. At its best Zinfandel, is rich, voluptuous, with great depth of red and blue fruits. Jammy and hedonistic are common descriptions Each person should bring one bottle of an quality Zinfandel wine; be creative and quality conscious, with some bottle age if possible. Turley, Martinelli, Biale, Seghesio, Ridge, Hartford Bedrock, Carlisle, Klinker Brick, Frog's Leap, and anything from the Rockpile vineyard is likely to be very good to great. The Prisoner wines began as a Zinfandel blend. Also bring a protein based appetizer to share and **a wine glass for your personal use.** Cheese and meats are best with these wines.
