There will be other people on this course besides people from this meetup. There are different course dates, so RSVP and you can choose another date if you wish. The cost of this PADI Scuba Dive course is about 650 euros or so and it is a part time course. The first dives will be in a large swimming pool 5m deep. If you like you can also do a pool try dive to see how you go before you start your dive course. Anyone thinking about doing scuba diving this would be a good starting point for you. TOG will be open on Tuesday evenings from 19:00 to 21:30 for a general Open House event. Expect to find members and visitors in the space up to all sorts of activities. It's a great time to drop in and see what the space is about. If you're an artist, tinkerer, maker or just plain curious, come in and see what the space is about. Maybe you already have something to work on (or want to), have something to fix, create, design, bodge or tinker... drop in. We are in the middle of a trilogy of topics that form a story. Our current series is around the theme of human flourishing. In April we discussed *beauty*. In May we looked at how the role ‘*home*’ plays in our well-being. To round off this *trilogy of human flourishing*, we will ask what roles do *nature and nurture* play in our lives? Have you ever pondered why you are the way you are? Are we born this way, or are we shaped by life? *Nature* refers to the genetic blueprint we inherit from our ancestors. *Nurture* refers to the social, cultural, and environmental factors that moulds our personalities, values, and skills. Are these two influences enemies or dancing partners? What limits, if any, exist in either one? How do they contribute to destiny or choice? Join us for facilitated conversations about Nature and Nurture this upcoming Tuesday, 9.June, 7:15pm, at Third Space Café Smithfield. A lovely session of music and song in a relaxed and supportive environment. All levels of musician and singer welcome. You can come and sing or play one song or just come and listen to the other members. Great way to build up your playing skills and build up your confidence. Make to the most of the bright evenings and join us for a social cycle out to Howth Village. Total distance 25 km. Mostly flat with an optional climb up to the Summit. Conservation works are being carried out in Lucan House presently, so there is no access to the house and no toilet facilities during this walk. Please wear appropriate footwear Date: 10th of June Meeting: At the main gates of Lucan House Demesne at 10.45am. Walk will take approx 90 minutes. Although the tour is free, I will collect €5 per person before our tour as a donation for the Old Lucan Historical Society of which two of the members, volunteers, will be our guides on the day. You will be able to visit the following: The medieval church in the Demesne. View the stables and dairy of Lucan House. Visit the Bath House ( former medieval chapel) in the grounds See the exterior of Lucan House. See the 'Sarsfield' a monument by James Wright, with no Sarsfield connection. See the 2023 bronze buffalo sculptures by artist Davide Ravalta set in Parco Italia and more... All members are responsible for their own health and Safety at meetups.
