Our venue is in Chislehurst, South East London within easy reach of Bexley, Bromley, Dartford, Eltham, Lewisham, Greenwich, Orpington and Sidcup. Doors open at 19:00 for our ‘kebab chat’ to catch up and discuss all things geeky! Feel free to bring your own food and drink. Our games usually start by 19:45 and end around 23:00 (although time is not a limit should the group be happy to play longer). Moderate 10.3 miles/ 16.4km, Ascent: 1333ft/406.3m circular Walk route as follows Vine Cricket ground, Hole in the wall entrance into Knole park, Knole House, then Greensand way all the way to Ightham Mote via One Tree Hill. We will have a short stop at One Tree Hill (3.5 miles) & also a lunch stop at Ightham Mote (5.5 miles). The Cafe will be open on the day here. Walk route back will be via Stone Street & Godden Green where there will be a pub stop for drinks only (8.2 miles). In the event that the pub is busy on the day of this walk we will continue the walk. Walk goes back into Knole park & back via Knole House then out of Knole Park via the main entrance. Walk then continues along the high street & back to the start point of this walk. Option of another drink stop in Sevenoaks town at the end of the walk. Subject to walk leaders approval we do allow well behaved dogs under full control of their owner. If you wish to bring your dog on the walk, please check with the walk leader before arriving for the walk. Every Sunday we host a weekly D&D Night, it's a West Marches style game, so you can drop in without having played before. If you've played D&D for decades or never touched dice, you're welcome to come and play. The game is at 6:30 pm on Sunday. We will point you towards a game you can join. **Unless you have spoken to Jason or Edward beforehand about reserving tables/rooms at the pubs, you are NOT allowed to do so. I cannot state the importance of being able to rotate the availability of the rooms with other attendees/general pub goers in case the Pub needs them.** **The rooms should only be used by attendees who have a group plus DM or attendees who are DMing on the day. Otherwise I will assign you to the tables around the pub. If you have dice, paper and pencil, and a Player’s Handbook, then bring them, but it’s not a problem if you don’t. We can lend you everything you need including a pre-generated character. I'M NOT FROM THE UK, THAT ISN'T A PROBLEM, RIGHT? Actually, we have loads of members from other countries; at times, we’ve had more ex-pats than Brits. We get a lot of people joining who’ve just moved to London from another country, left their old D&D friends behind, and who are looking for a new gaming group, so you don’t need to worry about not fitting in. The one catch is that your English does need to be OK. You don't have to be perfectly fluent, but roleplaying’s a language-based activity and if your listening isn't decent you may have trouble following what’s going on. Lots of our members speak more than one language, but we can't guarantee that we can place you in a game with someone who can interpret for you. As a small group of volunteers, we are very dependent on the good will of our venues to host us for free.
