Hi everyone! (pre-pandemic information) If you like to play modern board, card and dice games, and to meet new people, then join us every Wednesday evening, for as long as you like between the hours of 6pm and 11pm (when the pub closes). Feel free to bring your own games if you have them, but don't worry if you don't as there are plenty that live at the pub, and plenty more that regular members bring along. And of course, we'll teach you how to play them if you don't know already. You work late? No worries - you can come along any time before closing (11pm), so if you don't arrive at 7pm (when attendees trickle in), don't worry! Everyone comes and goes whenever they like, so it is possible that you may be the first to arrive or last to leave. Please write in the comments what time you expect to arrive at the pub, so we can try to avoid anyone having to wait alone for long. We are a relaxed and friendly group, made up of both natives and foreigners, of locals and those living further afield, happy to welcome newbies and regulars. Every Sunday we host a weekly D&D Night, it's a West Marches style game, so you can drop in without having played before. If you've played D&D for decades or never touched dice, you're welcome to come and play. The game is at 6:30 pm on Sunday. We get a lot of people joining who’ve just moved to London from another country, left their old D&D friends behind, and who are looking for a new gaming group, so you don’t need to worry about not fitting in. The one catch is that your English does need to be OK. You don't have to be perfectly fluent, but roleplaying’s a language-based activity and if your listening isn't decent you may have trouble following what’s going on. Lots of our members speak more than one language, but we can't guarantee that we can place you in a game with someone who can interpret for you. Before our main series of games launches in April, we’re running a special one‑off event — perfect for newcomers who want to dip their toes into our role playing games or returning players looking for a fresh adventure. This session will take place **indoors at a small hall**, rather than our usual outdoor woodland setting. It’s a great chance to try things out in a relaxed, comfortable environment before the full season begins. **There will be no cost for the game** outside of drinks/snacks bought from the venue. If you RSVP, a game runner will get in touch with you directly to provide **your character details** and everything you need to step into the story. **✨ Game Brief: Cosmic Swap Meet ✨** Swap Meets have existed in one form or another for centuries. Scattered across the galaxy, they’re the places where anything of value can be bought or sold — and where law‑abiding citizens and notorious outlaws mingle without judgement. You weren’t sure your particular problem could be solved anywhere, even at a Swap Meet. Then, unexpectedly, an invitation arrived. You’ve been summoned to the **exclusive Bazaar on Wraith**, a privately owned space station known only to those with deep pockets or rare treasures to trade. Normally, entry requires a fortune… or an item so extraordinary it earns you a seat at the table. Here, the Swap Meet takes the form of a secretive auction where the unusual, the forbidden, and the impossible change hands far from the eyes of the wider galaxy. As a player, you have the chance to chase your ambitions, bargain for your desires, and maybe — just maybe — walk away with the one thing that could change everything. **If you dare.**

We want everyone that comes to our events to have a good time, and we know that some games require more communication than others. Please be mindful that we are in a small space and that other members will need to explain rules and focus. As a small group of volunteers, we are very dependent on the good will of our venues to host us for free. It is vitally important that everyone attending LoB buys food and drink to ensure that we can build and maintain those relationships with our venues. If you have any feedback about the venue, please report it to us directly rather than speaking to the staff. You must only attend if you have a place, i.e. that you have made it off the waitlist.
