Dungeons & Dragons at the Drill
Stories await with our main shared world in which the Questly Squids make a mark on the world by joining us in a wonderful world of magic. Open to new and veteran players alike!
If you are new to the group we recommend you message an organizer to ensure you have a table to play on. Our members are friendly and helpful if you are new to the game so do not worry about knowing all the rules! We recommend bringing a set of polyhedral dice and a pen/pencil. But we have plenty of spares you may borrow on the night if you don't have any.
We host our games in a shared campaign spread across 3-5 tables of players. each table has 1 DM (dungeon master) who runs the game for you and a fellow 3-7 players on the table alongside you out on a quest!
Quests last for 3 sessions and then the tables mix again with new player groups and possibly new DMs. How does this all work? You'll have to pop down and see. THE QUESTLY SQUIDS NEED YOU!

Week 1 - Getting your Self Realisation - Achieving Yoga -
Starts Feb 16th 2026
Venue: Ealing Quakers House, 17 Woodville Road, Ealing, W5 2SE
Meditation has been used as a source of serenity for millennia. The combination of deep inner silence and a renewed spiritual awakening has helped thousands of people from all walks of life achieve a sense of balance they never thought possible.
We know there are many meditation practices on offer across the world, but we're confident that you'll find something special in Sahaja Yoga.
It's not just the meditation itself, it's the overall connection with our core being, the feeling of being comfortable in our own skin again. This comes from the powerful effect of the energies flowing in balance as they should do.
Meditation should be more than just feeling relaxed in the moment. It should lead to a transformative experience which takes us to a new level of awareness and empowerment. Over time we should grow and evolve into the person we know we can be, the person which maybe we've lost as we've faced the challenges of adult life.
But please don't take our word for it, come and experience it for yourself.
Monday Mafia Game & Social – Beginner Friendly – Hydrant (Monument)
**Welcome to UK Mafia!**
On Monday the 16th we meet at **The Hydrant (Monument)** on the **Second Floor** (see large function room). It is near **London Bridge**.
**Do I need to know anything beforehand?**
This is a **beginner-friendly** event, and many will be playing with us for the first time. If you are new, **arrive early** to hear explanations of the rules, and you will get to play many games. We will also explain strategies. Most importantly, this is a social activity, so feel free to talk to anyone between the games and have fun!
\* *If you are an intermediate player, there is a separate intermediate table on the other side of the floor \**
**️♂️ What is Mafia?** Have you seen 'The Traitors'? Play the game that 'Traitors' is based upon! Mafia is a 10-player social game; it can get competitive, but it's easy to learn. We play at multiple tables. You get a secret role and work with your team to win. A game lasts about 45 minutes, so we play many during the day. The **Mafia team** tries to hide and eliminate the **Citizens**, while the **Citizens** try to find the Mafia through deduction and logic.
While this is a **beginner-friendly** event, we also host tournaments and online events with players from around the world. Ask us about our online games! We even organise trips abroad to meet and play with other Mafia clubs, so ask us about it when we meet✈️
***
**[How to Play?](https://bit.ly/HowToPlayMafia)**
We will teach you how to play when you arrive. You will quickly see that the game has two phases:
**Night:**
* The Mafia secretly targets a Citizen
* The *Don* (Mafia) learns if a player is the *Sheriff*
* The *Sheriff* (Citizen) learns if someone is Mafia
☀️ **Day:**
* Each player says in their turn who they think the Mafia are
* Then, everyone votes publicly to eliminate one player
The game continues until the Mafia are eliminated or they outnumber (or equal) the Citizens. We will explain all the rules at the venue, and you’ll pick it up.
Want to learn more about the game? See our wide range of resources, including brochures and videos: **[https://bit.ly/EMF-TIPS](https://bit.ly/EMF-TIPS)**

WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO TO TAKE PART?
**You *must* RSVP using the Attend button on this page.** That's true for both DMs and players.
You must be **18+** to attend.
There's a **£4 fee payable by PayPal or cash** (see below).
Please find **Zander**, the Organiser, on your arrival. You'll then be assigned to a game.
TIMES
Please ensure you arrive **before 1.00pm**. If you arrive late, it may not be possible to find you a game.
If you're part of a group of two or more, you all have to be 18+, RSVP for yourselves (no 'plus ones') and arrive between 12.30pm and 12.40pm on the day, not 1.00pm. If you arrive at 1.00pm, you'll still be able to play, but may be placed in different games.
DO I NEED TO KNOW THE RULES OF D&D? DO I HAVE TO BRING OR PREPARE ANYTHING?
**You don't have to have any knowledge of D&D's rules or have previous experience of D&D or another tabletop role-playing game.**
You don't have to bring or prepare anything. We can lend you everything you need including a pre-generated character.
If you want to bring or create your own character, please arrive at 12.40pm and discuss your character with your assigned DM. Please respect their decision in the unlikely event that they say you have to use a pre-generated character. They may have story or rules reasons they can't disclose.
DUNGEON MASTERING
We're always on the look-out for DMs. If you'd like to DM, please PM Zander in the Organiser list ASAP.
VENUES AND MONEY MATTERS
There's a charge of £4 payable by PayPal in advance or in person at [PayPal.me/WizardOfLondon](www.PayPal.me/WizardOfLondon). IMPORTANT: Please include your Meetup username with your PayPal payment. Alternatively, you can pay in person by cash. For questions about the charge such as why there's a charge, what the refund policy is and what concessions are available, please see the [FAQ](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1AiaaISCQcKbMqACnNUbTXk68kdy2YUSuM5eAv3XKZwU/edit?usp=sharing) (if the FAQ link isn't working, please copy and paste this: [https://docs.google.com/document/d/1AiaaISCQcKbMqACnNUbTXk68kdy2YUSuM5eAv3XKZwU/edit?usp=sharing](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1AiaaISCQcKbMqACnNUbTXk68kdy2YUSuM5eAv3XKZwU/edit?usp=sharing) ).
The venues are businesses and, as such, rely on us spending on food and drink while we are there. Our continued use of the venues is dependent upon it. Please spend as much as you reasonably can; if you're thinking of having lunch at your venue, please do. The venues have vegetarian and vegan options. The venues accept payment by card, cash, Apple Pay and Google Pay, so please bring one of those.
Please do NOT bring drink from outside except tap water in a transparent plastic bottle. Please do NOT bring food from outside. Bringing food or drink (except tap water) from outside can result in you being permanently banned by the venue's management.
HYGIENE
If you're ill or suspect you're coming down with a contagious sickness such as covid or flu, please do **NOT** attend. If you're unwell, you may be asked to leave.
DOGS AND PETS
Registered guide dogs are absolutely fine. Please bring proof with you for the pub's management. Other dogs and pets aren't permitted.
\~\~\~\~\~\~\~\~\~
If you have any questions not answered above, please PM Zander, the Organiser.
Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) and Role-Playing Games Evening!
Local Dungeon Masters/Games Masters will be running three or four games every Tuesday.
These will be straightforward "turn up and play" games, where pre-generated characters will be provided for you - All you need to bring is your imagination! Ideal for newcomers, but more experienced players absolutely welcome!
Please note that we will increase the Meetup cap upwards from 10 once we have sufficient volunteer GMs for this event.
Please turn up from 6:30pm so we can arrange into groups just before 7:00pm and be ready to start rolling dice. *We can't guarantee your place at a table if you arrive after 7pm.*
**NEW:** On arrival, please find one of the event hosts and let them know you are present, so we can check you in. *(And tell us your name! Some of us aren't great at remembering names/faces)*
Attendance for players will be £8.00 payable to The Ludoquist.
It's also worth mentioning that, if you sign up with a guest and find yourself on the waitlist, Meetup will often move individuals off the waitlist before you as spots become free. This is less than ideal but is out of our hands unfortunately. For this reason (among others), we recommend you and your guest sign up for the event individually.
**Ludoquist RPG Code of Conduct**
We will always do our best to make sure games are safe and fun spaces for everyone, and we ask that players do the same.
Respect your fellow players:
* Try to ensure everyone has a chance to speak.
* If you feel unwell on the day of the event we ask that you don't come along, and mark yourself as *"Not going"*.
* Never be disparaging or insulting towards other players - conflicts between characters can be good, but conflict between players never is.
The following topics will never be introduced in games organised by The Ludoquist, and we ask that you don't introduce them either.
* *Sexual assault*
* *Slavery*
* *LGBTA+ discrimination or harassment*
* *Racism*
* *Harm to children*
* *Cancer, dementia, or other serious real-world illness*
If you have a specific trigger or phobia that you would like to not occur in play please let your GM know. All our GMs are happy to oblige.
In general swearing is entirely fine but if a player asks that it's toned down, please do so. Please do also be aware that The Ludoquist is a public venue, and language used should be appropriate to that and please be aware of any neighbouring tables.

Sunday Dungeons & Dragons Meetup
WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO TO TAKE PART?
You just need to RSVP using the button on this page, and show up on Sunday. That is true for both DMs and players.
You must be 18+ to attend.
If this is your first time or looking to join a game, please find the Sunday Hosts Edward or Jason on your arrival. We will point you towards a game you can join.
There is no charge, membership fee or subscription. However, a collection tin may be circulated by the Organiser/Assistant Organiser/Host towards the running of the Meetup. There is a recommended donation of £2 cash per attendee (DM or player), but contributions are purely voluntary: you are under no obligation. We do not track or record who donates what
TIMES
Please ensure you arrive between 12:30pm and 1.00pm. **If you arrive later than 1pm, it may not be possible to find you a game.**
I'VE NEVER PLAYED BEFORE, IS THAT A PROBLEM?
Nope! You do not have to have previous experience of D&D or another tabletop role-playing game. We will have newbie-friendly games on Sunday.
WHAT DO I HAVE TO BRING?
Nothing. If you have dice, paper and pencil, and a Player’s Handbook, then bring them, but it’s not a problem if you don’t. We can lend you everything you need including a pre-generated character.
I'M NOT FROM THE UK, THAT ISN'T A PROBLEM, RIGHT?
Actually, we have loads of members from other countries; at times, we’ve had more ex-pats than Brits. We get a lot of people joining who’ve just moved to London from another country, left their old D&D friends behind, and who are looking for a new gaming group, so you don’t need to worry about not fitting in.
The one catch is that your English does need to be OK. You don't have to be perfectly fluent, but roleplaying’s a language-based activity and if your listening isn't decent you may have trouble following what’s going on. Lots of our members speak more than one language, but we can't guarantee that we can place you in a game with someone who can interpret for you.
DUNGEON MASTERS
We are always on the look-out for DMs. If you would like to run a game, please PM Edward_w or Jason Sia.
HYGIENE & ANTI-COVID GUIDELINES
If you are symptomatically ill or suspect/know you have caught covid in the last 10 days but are asymptomatic, please do NOT attend.
Please wear a mask that covers your nose and mouth and/or a face shield whenever possible. This is not a rule, merely a request.
Please wash your hands and/or use hand sanitiser gel frequently.
If you test positive for covid after attending an event, please contact Zander the Meetup Organiser, immediately. If possible, please let Zander know your Dungeon Master's name.
**VENUES AND MONEY MATTERS**
**The venues are businesses and, as such, rely on us spending on food and drink while we are there**. Our continued use of the venues is dependent upon it. Please spend as much as you reasonably can; if you are thinking of having lunch at your venue, please do. The venues have vegetarian and vegan options.
Please do NOT bring drink from outside except tap water in a transparent plastic bottle. Please do NOT bring food from outside. Bringing food or drink (except tap water) from outside can result in you being permanently banned by the venue's management.
Guide dogs are absolutely fine. Other dogs and pets may not be permitted subject to the discretion of the Pub Staff & Organisers.
If you have any questions, please post it in the comments below or PM Edward_w or Jason, the Sunday Hosts.
Gloomhaven One-Shot @ LWG Tuesdays
You asked for Gloomhaven — so we’re getting it to the table.
This session is a **Gloomhaven one-shot** at **LWG Tuesdays @ 7 Dials**, designed as a welcoming way for interested players to jump in and experience the game in a single evening.
Whether you’ve played before or you’re simply Gloomhaven-curious, this is a chance to enjoy the tactical combat, cooperative puzzle-solving, and “we are definitely professionals” adventuring energy the game is famous for.
Expect:
* a self-contained session
* a friendly, guided start
* plenty of table talk, teamwork, and glorious bad decisions
* a good fit for both returning players and interested newcomers
You do **not** need to own the game, and we’ll aim to make onboarding as painless as possible.
This event is being offered first to people who registered interest through our RPG / Adventure Gaming form, so if that was you — good news, this is your nudge from the universe.
Come delve some ruins, make some questionable tactical choices, and see whether Gloomhaven might deserve a regular place on Tuesdays.
