Marty Supreme ist ein US-amerikanisches Filmdrama[2] von Josh Safdie. Der Film ist lose vom Leben des amerikanischen Tischtennisspielers Marty Reismans inspiriert, die in den 1950er-Jahren spielende Geschichte ist jedoch fiktiv. Marty Supreme ist der erste Film von Josh Safdie nach Beendigung der kreativen Zusammenarbeit mit seinem Bruder Benny. Die Hauptrolle Ăźbernahm TimothĂŠe Chalamet. Das Werk wurde Anfang Oktober 2025 im Rahmen des New York Film Festivals uraufgefĂźhrt.
Co-Working Session (Deep Work, all types of work welcome)
Hello! Iâm organising a coworking + socialising session for all of us who are working on projects (e.g. our own creations, freelance or remote work) but don't feel like sitting alone at home. đ
To ensure that we have time for both socialising AND working, we will be using the so-called âPomodoroâ technique:
**50 mins deep work** (silent), followed by **10 mins break** to socialise. And then repeat!
You are welcome to join whatever your personal background is, and whatever project you are working on.
I (the host) speak English and German, so either language is fine.

A regular opportunity to study the nude or portrait from life for 3 hours, every single week!
We have one long pose - you can choose whether to draw several studies from different angles around the room, or take your time to do a single sustained drawing or painting in full detail.
The pose is held for 20 minute intervals with five minute breaks in-between so the model to rest and stretch, and so artists can move between seats if they choose.
We provide some materials such as paper, pencils & pastels for free. Canvases, brushes and acrylic paint can be purchased at the event.
We hope to see you there very soon!

Thursday Night Preview: THE BRIDE at the Gateway Film Center!
Join us as we get together to see the period drama / classic monster movie, THE BRIDE! The film is written/directed by Maggie Gyllenhaal and stars Jessie Buckley and Christian Bale in a new take on the classic tale, The Bride of Frankenstein. We'll be seeing this one on Thurs, 3/5 one day ahead of the film's opening on Friday. Hereâs a description, trailer and plan for this event:
DESCRIPTION: In 1930s Chicago, Frankenstein's creature asks Dr. Euphronius to create a companion for him. They give life to a murdered woman as "the Bride," sparking romance, police interest and radical social change. It is written, directed and co-produced by Maggie Gyllenhaal and stars Jessie Buckley, Christian Bale, Peter Sarsgaard, Annette Bening, Jake Gyllenhaal and PenĂŠlope Cruz.

PARKING: Close, convenient parking is available in the nearby garage (located between 9th and 11th, just off High St). Bring your ticket with you and have it validated at the theater and for $2, youâre covered for the night!
PLAN: Please purchase your ticket for the 7:00pm showing and weâll meet inside the upstairs lobby between 6:40 and 6:50pm. Advance ticket purchase is advised (via Gateway website preferred). **Making Moves** is an evening of focused, facilitated coaching conversations with experienced mentors from our local product community. This isnât a panel. Itâs not passive networking. Itâs small-group dialogue designed to be thoughtful, practical, and worth your time.

⢠Each circle is led by a mentor who has lived experience in that area

Oscar International Nominee: SIRAT at the Gateway Film Center
Join us as we get together to see SIRAT, an Oscar-nominated Best International Film from Spain that follows a father, accompanied by his son, goes looking for his missing daughter in North Africa. Hereâs a description, trailer and our plan for this event:
DESCRIPTION: A father, accompanied by his son arrive at a rave deep in the mountains of southern Morocco while searching for his daughter who vanished months ago at one of these endless, sleepless parties. As their search continues, the journey forces them to confront their own limits. The film is directed by Oliver Laxe and stars Sergi Lopez, Bruno Nunez Arjona and Richard Bellamy.

BUZZ & ACCLAIM: SIRAT has already won numerous awards, including 4 at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival, along with the Chicago, Montclair and Toronto International Film Festivals! It also earned a whopping 11 nominations at the 40th Goya Awards, including Best Film and Director, and was nominated for Best International Feature Film and Best Sound at this yearâs Academy Awards. The film is earning a stellar 92% positive rating on Rotten Tomatoes which calls it âan unforgettable exercise in tensionâ and âa brutal reminder that the journey can be more important than the destination.â

CMG Special Event: OSCAR PARTY & RED CARPET BASH at the Drexel Theatre!
Join us as we get together for a CMG-favorite event, the OSCAR PARTY AND RED CARPET BASH at the Drexel Theatre! The highlight of the movie year live on the big screen always makes for a fun and memorable evening! Here are details for this event:
WHAT TO EXPECT: This yearâs ceremony will be hosted once again by Conan OâBrien. In addition to the Oscars on the big screen, your ticket includes a Meal Deal from the Drexelâs new food partner Newfangled Kitchen (Iâm checking on vegetarian/vegan options) along with unlimited popcorn and sodas, a free box of candy, and your first beer, wine or specialty drink on the house! Also included: Oscar-themed trivia with prizes from local businesses, on-site paparazzi, and the Drexel's Oscar ballot contest with a chance to win a year of free Drexel movies! DRESS: Dressing up for the occasion art of part of the fun! Dress up as much as you like â there will be everything from casual to formal at the event! Or you can go in character as one of this yearâs nominated films!
ARRIVAL: Doors open for CMG at 5:30pm so thatâs when weâll plan to meet! Thatâll give us plenty of time to fill out our Oscar Ballots, pick up some free popcorn, candy, and something to drink, mix, mingle, take some photos, pick up your Newfangled Kitchen Meal Deal, grab a seat in our CMG Reserved Section, then settle in to enjoy the Academy Awards on the Big Screen!
PICTURES: Weâll take pics throughout the evening and the Drexel Paparazzi will be on hand as well. Weâll also take a big group photo around 6:40 near the entrance before the show begins. If you happen to take some good shots yourself, be sure to upload them on the Oscar Party Meetup event!
RESERVED SEATING: As you enter the theater, the roped off section to the right marked âReservedâ is reserved for you, your guest(s) and the Columbus Movie Group!
VEGAN MEALS: As previously mentioned, the food vendor does NOT have a vegan option at this yearâs Oscar Party. However, we DO have a solution! I have reached out to several individuals who are affected. If you are a vegan, plan to attend the Oscar Party and did not receive an e-mail from me, please reach out via private message post a note below. Iâll provide details off-line.
And while there wonât be a vegan meal option this year, I think we do have a workable solution. And, all other plans are usiness-as-usual: popcorn, sodas, candy, on-site paparazzi, decorations, bar drinks (including your first drink on the house), the Drexelâs Annual Oscar ballot contest, along with the Big Show on the Big Screen and a fun group of Movie Group friends to watch âem with!
