Improvisation Workshop - Coming with nothing and leaving with everything
Improvisation Workshop - Coming with nothing and leaving with everything
We, Mariangela Tinelli and Meltem Nil are both Solo-Improvisation performance artists, we are regularly performing in diverse venues in Berlin for years and now we are also creating workshops together! Feel welcome to try it out if you are into improvisation or you are a poet, artist, dancer, musician or simply curious to try new things, here is our description (and feel free to ask me questions in messages): **This time we focus on: " Leave it, to make it richer" The connection between narration and abstraction.** *We will start by crafting transitions of movement, voice and text in our performances. Then we’ll find our ways of telling stories and working with narration. At the same time we will explore how to support, overlap and extend our talking flow with structural and abstract elements and eventually let go of the story line. Where can we go from there? What other levels and perspectives exist to enrich our creations and stories? You will find out in the workshop, where you will be guided with exercises in solos, duos and in the group.* The workshop is open for everybody who wants to act in a different way, to do research and to shape space. Workshop language is German and English, we also speak Italian and Turkish. Please register here with meet-up or feel free to write me at: tinellangela@gmail.com When: 14. March 2026 - 11.00 - 15.30 including 30 min. break Where: K77 Studio, Kastanienallee 77, 10435 Berlin (Hinterhof 3.Stock) Costs: 40 € to bring in cash https://k77studio.org/de/coming-with-nothing-and-leaving-with-everything-5/ Bring comfortable clothing and a water bottle, pen and paper only if you want to make notes, snack/ lunch you can take along or buy in the hood.

Fimlscreening in Babylon Berlin „Nanoplastics. Threat to Life“ EN/DE
EN: **Film Screening at Babylon Berlin** **“Nanoplastics – Threat to Life”** March 7 \| 2:00–6:30 PM This documentary explores one of the most urgent environmental and public health issues of our time: micro- and nanoplastics — invisible, yet already present in our environment and even in our bodies. Nanoplastics affect our health, ecosystems, and climate processes. The film brings together current scientific findings and highlights what makes nanoplastics particularly dangerous: their ability to accumulate electrostatic charge — a largely overlooked factor with far-reaching consequences. 🧬 What impact does this have on our health? 🌍 What does this mean for our future? A global environmental problem that urgently requires societal responses. 🎬 Language: English with German subtitles A discussion and Q&A session will follow the screening. 🎟 Free admission 📩 Please register in advance 📍 Address: Rosa-Luxemburg-Straße 30, 10178 Berlin (Mitte, opposite the Volksbühne) Link to the free tickets at Babylon Berlin: https://babylonberlin.eu/film/9776-nanoplastik-die-unsichtbare-lebensgefahr?highlight=WyJuYW5vcGxhc3RpayJd DE: Filmvorführung im Babylon Berlin „Nanoplastik – Die unsichtbare Lebensgefahr“ (Nanoplastics.

Come along, grab a coffee, shut up, and write! We will do at least two sessions of each 45 minutes of writing and two breaks. We will start the first writing session at 11:15. **For space reasons, we are limited to a certain number of attendees, so please update your RSVP if you can't come**. We often have a large waiting list, and not updating your RSVP or not showing up if you do RSVP yes means that others miss out. We also ask that if you do change your RSVP, do it with reasonable notice. Thanks! We typically take over all of the cafe, but try to share tables if you can to allow space for other customers. If you are new, come and say hello, as we know that suddenly going quiet for 45 minutes and staring at that blank page can be intimidating when it's your first time. We have a lot of long-term regulars who will be happy to help you feel welcome. In between sessions, we have a Telegram chat: https://t.me/joinchat/ERW3pxD5kfELGeWs9SUhjw For more information, visit [https://shutupwrite.com](https://shutupwrite.com/).

For those who are new, our Pitch and Planning Session is a monthly English language event held here in Berlin for people who have an idea for a film and would like to pitch it, as well as those people who are eager to work on films. It's all about getting films made. If you have a film idea that is burning a hole in your brain, tell the people in the audience your story idea and hopefully you will meet people who can help you make your idea into a reality! This event is also for people who want to help out in all aspects of filmmaking to help make these pitches happen. So if your passion is camera, sound, hair and makeup, writing, lighting, fighting, or anything that could help, you are always welcome. Whether you're new to filmmaking or experienced and want to work on something cool and creative, no matter what your area of expertise/interest is, this is for you! Be sure to show up to either pitch your idea or be ready to listen to some interesting pitches from excited people and potentially help someone make their film. Let's make some cool shit! If you still want more information you can head on over to our website: *https://berlinfilmcommunity.com/pitch_and_planning/* I have been a part of making some of these pitched projects into real world movies and I have always had a blast.

Productive Sunday Morning - Co-Working Session (Deep Work, all work welcome)
Productive Sunday Morning - Co-Working Session (Deep Work, all work welcome)
Hey everyone! I’m organising a co-working + socialising session for all of us who like to work on something (e.g. our own project, freelance or remote work) but don't feel like sitting alone at home. 🙂 To ensure that we have both **socialising** AND **working**, we will be using the so called “Pomodoro” technique: **50min of deep work** (silent), followed by **10min of break** to socialise. Then repeat! If you get into flow, you're also welcome to skip the breaks. It’s an effective way to stay focused - you can read more about it [here](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pomodoro_Technique). Anyone from any background is welcome, whatever project you are working on or whatever is your personal background. I (the host) speak English and German, so either is fine :-) ——————————————————- AGENDA: * **15min Intro** * Get to know everyone, talk about what you will work on today * **Pomodoro Session** (3x) - *Each Pomodoro session consists* *of...* * ...**50min** of uninterrupted “deep work” (no talking, no interruptions, no phones) * ...**10min** of break: share your progress with others, talk about what you are stuck on etc. * Repeat * Conclude and celebrate your progress Share your progress, socialise and get to know others 😊 ———— We'll be at the Social Hub Berlin (they have a food menu in case you get hungry). The structured part will end at 2:30pm, but you're welcome to stay longer, go for lunch together, or leave earlier. See you there 🩵 **\*\*We'll reserve the long table. Please update your RSVP in advance if you can't attend!\*\***
Silent Reading / Creating Club at W66 (Saturday) [Luma to RSVP]
Silent Reading / Creating Club at W66 (Saturday) [Luma to RSVP]
RSVP on Luma: https://luma.com/2axg6eyy Silent Reading / Creating Club is a gathering for people who enjoy focusing together in public. Bring a book, a notebook, a sketchpad, knitting needles — whatever you’d like to spend a quiet hour with. All projects and all participants are welcome. This year is about creating more — quietly, consistently, imperfectly — and shaping environments that support that. If you’re building something of your own, you’re especially welcome here. We’re building a community of readers and creators who value depth, presence, and shared silence. The magic isn’t just in the quiet hour — it’s in the people who return and make it feel like a familiar room. (Please RSVP “yes” only if you can make it, so we can save a seat for you and others on the waitlist.) This quiet ritual unfolds at **W66 Café**. There’s no entrance fee, but please order at least one item from the café and don’t bring outside drinks 🙂 No assignments. No pressure. No productivity race. Just a shared hour of intentional silence, followed by relaxed conversation. 🕰 Our Agenda **10:30 – 11:00** Arrivals, ordering drinks/food, light social time **11:00 – 12:00** The Great Quiet Hour (Read. Write. Sketch. Code. Think. Sit.) **12:00 – 12:30** Optional socializing — share what you were reading or creating, or simply continue in quiet focus. ## **🏡 House Guidelines** To keep this space calm and welcoming for everyone: • Silence during the focus hour (no calls or conversations) • Phones on silent mode • If using a laptop, please avoid meetings or audio — headphones welcome • Arrive before 11:00 if possible to minimize disruptions
Kreative Schreibwerkstatt in Charlottenburg (14:30 Uhr!)
Kreative Schreibwerkstatt in Charlottenburg (14:30 Uhr!)

Dinner & a Movie: PROJECT HAIL MARY at Marcus Pickerington!
Dinner & a Movie: PROJECT HAIL MARY at Marcus Pickerington!
Join us as we get together to see Ryan Gosling and Sandra Huller in the highly anticipated sci-fi adventure, PROJECT HAIL MARY! The film is based on the best-selling novel of The Martian and follows a man who awakens on a spacecraft before realizing his mission to save Earth. Here’s a description, trailer and plan for this event: DESCRIPTION: A science teacher wakes up on a spaceship, light years from home with no recollection of who he is or how he got there. As his memory returns, he begins to uncover his mission to save the Earth. The film is directed by the filmmaking due Phil Lord and Christopher Miller (21 and 22 Jump Street, Into and Across the Spider-Verse) and is based on the 2021 novel by Andy Weir (The Martian). The film stars Ryan Gosling, Sandra Huller (Anatomy of a Fall, The Zone of Interest), Lionel Boyce, Milana Vayntrub and Ken Leung. TRAILER: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5VYsnngkS_U BUZZ AND REVIEWS: The buzz and reviews for PROJECT HAIL MARY are off-the-charts good! The film is earning a 95% Certified Fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes, where critics call it an “old school blockbuster crowd-pleaser” and “a new sci-fi classic!” It’s “deeply hopeful,” well-acted,” funny,” “dramatic,” and “exceptionally rousing throughout!” Others call it “something truly magical” and one that “we’ll be talking about this one for decades to come!” And I believe Slashfilm says it best: “It will lift up and squeeze your heart, crack you up with laughter, and give you a sense of hope and wonder in a way that few movies have been able to inspire.” MOVIE PLAN: Please purchase your ticket for the 2:30pm SuperScreen DLX showing and meet in the lobby area between 2:05 and 2:15pm! Tickets already on sale and will likely move fast for this hot ticket / opening weekend showing so advance ticket purchase as soon as possible is advised! Once you have yours, please list your seat number in the Comments section of this event. As a head’s up, this is a longer movie at 2hrs 36mins. DINNER PLAN: Dinner immediately following the movie at 5:30pm at group favorite, FUGU SUSHI, located just next door! Separate RSVP required for the Dinner / Movie portions of this event. An RSVP here means you're signed up for the MOVIE! This portion will be open as long as seats remain. If you also plan to join for dinner, please also RSVP in the separate event listing for the dinner portion of this event. Should be a good one, Dan
The Graduate
The Graduate
This 1967 film is widely regarded as one of the best American movies ever made. Now remembered almost as much for its Simon and Garfunkel music as its deadpan comedy and being the role that established Dustin Hoffman as the hottest actor in Hollywood. It became a cultural icon for capturing the spirit of 60s angst of a young man on the make, while garnering a batch of Oscar nominations. After watching the movie on your own, join us to relive (or experience!) those feelings at our discussion.

There’s no strict agenda this time — just developers getting together to talk shop, share projects, and exchange ideas. **Some topics that may come up (based on attendee interest):** • Frame Debugger & performance tooling • Addressables & additive scene workflows • Input System, localization, responsive UI • AI integration approaches • DevOps & LiveOps experiences • Full lifecycle: idea → cross-platform publishing • Favorite Asset Store tools and hidden gems • Weird Unity quirks we’ve all run into *Nothing is locked in.* Bring a project if you’d like. Bring a question. Bring a lesson learned. Or just come hang out and meet other developers. All skill levels welcome!
